Let it be known that at 7:00AM on May 3, Hebrides Islandia will be launching its first manned space exploratory probe into orbit. This is an unarmed space vessel and is in no way a threat to any of the nations of Earth.

The Isle of Skye congradulates the nation of Hebrides Islandia in its recent attempts to acheive space flight. The isle of skye wishes that all caltic nations work together in such endevours, and will allow any IOS university to work in conjunction with the Hebrides Islandia space programme.

Hebrides thanks the Isle of Skye for its generous offer and of course wishes to cooperate harmoniously with all nations of Earth. We would be pleased to exchange scientific officers with the IOS university scientists so that our two great peoples may benefit from the knowledge gained by the other.
Let it also be known that this day, May 4, Hebrides Islandia founds its first sub-oceanic research station, which is dedicated to medical research, and also declares its intent to create an orbital laboratory to be titled "Freedom One" in order to experiment with the null gravity environment and the possible exploration of the outer solar system. We expect that this program will be complete in 20 years.
We also declare that our Defence Force Surface Fleet, currently consisting of 4 ships, will be expanded to consist of a much larger and independent Navy. This is for our own defensive purposes and does not reflect a start of aggressive or expansionist stance towards other nations. Our compulsory militia will be further funded to develop an independent, professional army and air force as well. These expansions are projected to take 10 years to complete our plan of become a modern, well protected nation.

OOC: Essentially, I'll be declaring completion of the space station in 20 real time days. The army and navy will be developed within 10 days. This should stop the possible cries of godmoding, I hope.
