~Invitation~
The government of Hogsweat sees fit to send a cordial invitation to representatives from the Democratic Omzian Republic, the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia, and the Sensible Commonwealth of The Freethinkers for a conference in our beautiful capital of London in regards to a future pact uniting the four states.

Your representatives will stay in the best accomodation available in the Free Allied Republics for as long as they need and for as long as the conference lasts. The conference itself will be held in the decommissioned refitted Unity superdreadnaught's meeting room.

We hope that we can soon reach an agreement.

Dear Comrade,

In light of the continuing struggle for stability and supremecy of the nations of Haven and given the terrifying and precarious state of our colony there, we must work continually towards the safety and the security of the territory and the people in question, to ensure the freedom, prosperity and liberty of our citizens is never extingiushed.

As is the case, we feel this proposal has merit and advances us towards the goal of a more peaceful region. We shall send an esteemed representative to your nation in order to participate in this conference and help to, hopefully, establish an agreement. I will leave the travel arrangements to our respective departments handling the matter.

With regards to the conference, we will simply aim for a mutual defence agreement with some options for further trade and diplomacy. As far as I can tell this also appears to be the aim of your side, and we hope and believe the discussions will be successful in their aim of establishing an agreement. I look forward to hearing good news of this agreement.

Strength, Courage, Honour, Unity

Foreign Minister for The Freethinker Commonwealth

Having received the rather welcoming news, and the invitation sent by our friends at the allied nation of Hogsweat, we are no less than optimistic about the prospect of discussing the possibility of - or rather, the preparation for - a future pact and alliance between the honourable nation of Hogsweat, along with the nations of The Freethinkers, Praetonia, and us. Though we had our conflicts and disagreements in the past, and though we had almost marched onto the road of war with previous incidents, we are nevertheless willing to put the past behind us for a new dawn of diplomacy and friendship.

So thus, in hopes of friendship and reconciliation, and in hopes of stability and peace between our nations, we are more than willing to accept the invitation, and we are also enthusiastic about the possibility of cooperating with these three nations - including Hogsweat - to bring a better future to the existing ties between all of us. As a fellow regional neighbour, the Omzian Foreign Affairs Ministry will send one of its top diplomats, Minister Janue Kolen, to the conference. Kolen is already preparing for the conference along with the attached team of diplomats and military figures, and will travel to Hogsweat upon further notice from our government.

We would like to once again express our extreme optimism about this valuable opportunity to seek further prosperity in our ties, relationships, and cooperation.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Omzian Democratic Republic

OOC: Arrival will hopefully be RPed tomorrow (won't be long).

Subject: RE: Invitation

The Government of the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia is both pleased and honoured to be invited to London to discuss such a pact between our four great nations. We are sure that these talks will be successful and, for that reason, the Imperator himself shall attend, alongside the Prime Minister, in a historic break with tradition and protocol.

We hope most sincerely that this alliance will bring peace to the Haven region and be enough to ward off any would-be attackers of our four great states. Although geographically detached from the rest of Haven, Praetonia is most definately a part of the region, both socially and economically, and we will be pleased to work alongside the other members of the alliance to bring peace and stability to the region we call home.

This is excellent news. We will accept dignitaries from nations as soon as they care to arrive. If you are not travelling by Hogsweatian Airways, then we must remind you that your aircraft is required to check in every six minutes to any local air force station and is also required to be inspected when it touches down. There will be people waiting for you at Heathrow Airport, London. Before being taken via helicopter to the Unity Superdreadnaught, if they wish dignitaries will be sent on a private tour of London, all expenses paid for.

OOC: Just some pre-arrival stuff. As you can see, my leaders are enroute to the Omzian territory of North Kontia (just a bit north of Hogsweat), and will be traveling to Hogsweat via a Gulfstream, to shred off some potential unwanted attention. /OOC

"And I thought that we are going directly to the capital city for the whole flight," Kolen complained with a light sigh, as he depressed a series of buttons on the tablet computer that rested softly on the metallic tray and left out a small chuckle. A shower of light sneaked through the transparent windows with brillance, as clouds and signs of urbanization emerged into the view. Just as the flight attendants announced that the aircraft will land in Kontia International, Kolen could already see the lone Gulfstream business aircraft on the tarmac. "Why are we changing the route to North Kontia now? In these years I've never encountered one single flight, beside this one, where we'd actually have to stop at somewhere before reaching the final destination."

"Some idea popped out by our close comrades at the Omzian Airlines, I suppose," his aide, Sarloe, said with a hint of sarcasm. "But now that the government has their grip on North Kontia, we just can't expect to not go there for a short stop, especially when we are visiting a nearby location, such as Hogsweat. From what I've heard this is also partly to keep a slightly low profile for security reasons, as we don't want to stir up too many crowds with the arrival of a big-bottomed jumbo jet, and a ride on a small Gulfstream would be prefect for that requirement. Remember that right now Hogsweat is at a war as well, so we don't want the whole visit to be spoiled by some idiot detonating a bomb during our long trip, or at least, right now."

"I see," Kolen mused as he tried to recite the recent headlines reagrding Hogsweat's role in recent conflicts. "Indded it seems that Hogsweat has been quite active recently, though personally I'm not too fond of some of the actions they took. I anticipate that their involvment in the Call to Power and Feline Catfish incidents will be mentioned in the conference, though personally I'll rather not have that taking a negative effect against the whole meeting."

"What about the other two?" Sarloe questioned, referring to the Freethinkers and Praetonia, as she checked her wristwatch to familiarize herself with the difference in time zones.

"Overall, while personally I definately don't want to get the whole Feline Catfish incidents clog up the whole meeting, note that Praetonia is also on the same side of the whole mess. Overall though, I feel that the conference will go pretty well if we focus on other important issues, as all three other natons has shown a great deal of enthusiasm for the conference. While we've shared healthy ties with the Freethinkers, we still need to work harder towards Hogsweat and Praetonia, as we did have disagreements with Hogsweat in the past. With Praetonia, while I fully trust their leaders, I feel that we still need to build on our ties and relationships with Praetonia, and get rid of all the unfamiliarizaton." As Kolen then struggled to get his dried-out pen fully functioning, he asked, "how long is the flight to Hogsweat anyways?"

"Oh, just a few hours," Sarloe replied. "Wished I had one of those supersonic luxury jets though. Remember them?"

Heathrow, London

A screech of tyres and a spiralling cloud of dust, accompanied by the pitched roar of jet engines flung haphazardly into reverse signalled the arrival of the Freethinker delegation at Heathrow. Having been transmitting its IFF signal for the past few hours at overload and switching off the EW suite despite the risks associated with such a procedure, the massive 747 in its sky blue livery was taking no chances with the strict air control orders placed by the Hogsweat military. Given the level of hostility in Haven and the relative importance of the delegates attending, this wasn’t considered surprising by anyone.

The aircraft made little work of the landing and taxing, moving swiftly to a secluded spot on the airport’s tarmac, the massive jet grinding to a halt to be immediately surrounded by the ground crew and their respective vehicles. A set of stairs was immediately brought to the doors, which opened after a moment to reveal, momentarily, the lush, pastel interior before the site of a large (though unarmed) Pathfinder guard, standing in human form and wearing the light body armour that usually bedecked such a guard on diplomatic duty.

After the guard had checked to ensure everything was clear from his vantage point, he moved to greet the waiting Hogsweatian staff as his protected emerged from the plane. A dark-haired woman, elegantly but functionally dressed in a dark business suit, and a man, much older, sporting a chiselled set of features and a whitened flock of hair and dressed in a perfectly ironed light blue uniform emerged simultaneously in the doorway, talking to each other discretely as they descended the steps but turning to smile at the Hogsweatian representatives as they reached the bottom of the gangway.

The two were Karina Darquin and James Lenington, an official ambassador and military analyst respectively. They had been at the last major Haven conference where the Maritime Treaty of Gerburg had been bought into existence and had been since then considered one of the better diplomatic teams in the Freethinkers. As they were getting into the car ready to be transported away to the assigned hotel, Lenington made a quick salute towards the aircraft, a signal that everything, so far, was going well.
