We greet you in peace and joy. Saint Uriel is currently exploring the possibility of trade and humanitarian alliances. We are particularly interested in mutual disaster relief and medical aid/research alliances. We are not seeking military/defense alliances at this time.

Please note that although we are a Roman Catholic nation, we will consider humanitarian alliances with any nation, regardless of religious makeup or policies. However, in certain cases, our charter does prevent us from establishing trade alliances with nations that have policies radically different from our own.

Yes, we will of course provide you with an ambassador. Your own ambassador may embark for our fair capital city of Desconde.

However, we cannot have this "no tariffs" business. The Constitutional Monarchy of Empryia's government makes money only through property tax and the tariff and with a 10% ceiling on income tax, the government makes most of its revenue through tariff's. But, because you are our trading partner, a trade partnership of 10% tariff import into our country is a rather generous offer. Usually our tariff imports from other countries are at 40% with some as high as 65%.

This sounds most reasonable. Your own embassy would be located in our embassy quarters, sharing a palace amongst many. We assure you that the embassy will be top notch, however, general embassy laws apply, although we doubt that these will come in between your decision to open relations with our country.

As for trade, the complete reduction of tarriffs and barriers is most beneficial, consequently, we agree. Although our main industry is automobiles, those automobiles translate as armored vehicles for our military, and little in the way for civilian automobiles. Subsequently, the proposition to trade olives, steel, gold and natural gas for agricultural products, automobiles and pharmaceutical products is agreed upon.

Perhaps this is the beginnings of a much better relationship. We can only hope so, for we foresee greatness in your future. [OOC: That just made me sound like one of those palm readers - meh.]

A large portion of Yallak's power comes from Nuclear plants. In addition almost all of the weapons within our empire use depleted uranium ammunition and the armour used on our vehicles/tanks etc have a depleted uranium component. We are curently engaged in no conflicts.
