Isle of Skye shows blatant disregard for FC's requests - OOC Thread

This is with regards to this thread: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=416500

I've started it to prevent it being filled up with unneccessary OOC junk.

My force deployments are 3 Destroyer Squadrons and 1 Fast Battleship Squardon (arriving tomorrow in RP time). The make-up of these formations can be found by following the "Imperial Praetonian Navy" link in my sig.

Gotcha, and let me just announce: I have no intention of

1 Winning this
2 Starting a Nuclear war

Lets just remember that OOCly ok/

[OOC: It's possible to relocate satellites manually, yes, but you can't do it all the time and you cant do it to avoid massive things like nations. Perhaps we could RP one of ym satellites drifting over your nation and see how you react?]

(OOC: I suppose I see your point. I should probably clarify that I'm not in the habit of shooting down every satellite that crosses my sky, just non-allied sats carrying orbital offensive or defensive weapons systems -- the kind that players tend to move around at the drop of a hat anyway.

In any case, perhaps it would be more reasonable of me to deny passage only to nations openly antagonistic toward Copiosa Scotia and its allies, and to nations that fail to convince my defense department that their floating laser guns and whatnot should be granted safe passage.)

So long as you don't shoot down Iuthian satellites I don't mind you telling people that they can't have satellites fly over you're space... even if I do ignore it and continue to have Iuthian satellites fly over each nation in the standard orbital pattern.

We don't have any weapon satellites thankfully though, so there is no reason to shoot down our satellites... we'll just be pissed off if someone starts making unreasonable demands regarding our orbital flight paths and shooting down our birds.

The only demand we're making is that no one place potentially unfriendly ortillery or other weapons in our particular section of the sky. Even if you had such systems, I think you're still nominally considered an ally of the Free Provinces.

Eh, we just kind of "dance around" nations like you with our laser satellites, but if mine does end up crossing near your space, let me know and we can adjust the orbit. ;)

Will do. It's standard policy here to notify governments of potential orbital space violations three months in advance. Since there are so many satellites in the sky, I generally assume that this kind of thing goes on behind the scenes.

Backing down quick would seem to be your next move then....

It would, but I enjoy causing trouble. And this won't become nuclear unless you force it to. Besides, nukes are so unbecoming of a respectable empire...

As you wish. Torpedoes are such an interesting way of knocking at a door... or is that "knocking in a door"?

You're far outnumbered here, and easily spotted at this point.

So, before I have to start using ASROCs, how about you leave peacefully?

Do you need the numberwank post, or are you going to just assume a large fleet and a wolfpack submarine fleet?

(Response to TG about if I'm nuts enough to use nukes)

Considering regional defenses and the presence of manufactured weather significant enough to counter most nuclear threat - YES.

Get your ass out, or we'll follow through. Is that clear enough, or do we have to commence firing?

Yes, we are insane enough to do it. We've been part of a nuclear attack before, and we'll happily do it again. Your subs opening their tubes is an act of war - previous to that, we were willing to be diplomatic. Now, we're not.

Leave or else. Period.

As I play Texas Hold Em plenty, I'll repeat - I'm ALL IN.

At this point, I no longer care and will gladly hit the button. Repeatedly.

So either back down, or glow.

*Sweatdrops* Uh, I have subs in the area that are painting them as targets, Vastiva. I don't want a friendly-fire mushroom cloud over my fleet...

I'd say something reassuring, but right now we don't know you're there.

So it's up to the "I want to be a troublemaker". I wonder if this is enough "trouble" for him?

Why on NSEarth do you want to be a troublemaker in a charged scenario like this? It escapes me completely...

Because he wants to have an interesting RP, maybe? We don't always have the same OOC goals as IC goals, do we? No. There's no point arguing with him OOC over IC actions.
