VNNN (Valian National News Network): "At 12:36 p.m. President General Wilson requested funding from the 67th parliament for the founding of a new center for military science research. In his speech he requested approximately 1.6 billion Bank Notes for the initial founding of the center, hiring of scientits, genetic engineers, grants, etc. With pending approval of the legislation the center would be given a substantially large annual budget which is rumored to surpass that of the Valian Academy of Military Sciences. It should be noted at this time that the exact amount of the annual budget has not been disclosed to the press. In the presidents address he outlined the mission objectives for the center which include developing new insect species, and genetically altering existing ones for military applications. OOC: In case you dont know what Entomology is its the study of insects. The purpose of this annoucement is to rp the beginning of my program to start using genetically altered insects in warfare. I.E. Locusts to destroy crops, Japanese Giant hornets to menace civilian populations, etc.

Asian long-horned beetles
At the moment these are the top priority insects being considered for further reasearch by the top Entomologists on the board of researchers at the CEW.
In other news a military official who has requested his indentity to be kept secret commented that as a result of the research being done for the founding of the CEW certain officials in the upper echilons of the Valian military have shown intrest in the use of invasive species in military roles.
