Omar Guilds
02-05-2005, 19:38
The Eastern Sector. No unauthorized Omar, or any visitor to the isolated Osente system was allowed there. There seemed to be absolutely no reasoning, until recently, when the trade ship "Tha-ni" was all but destroyed by a pack of brigands that came from the cloak of the nebulae residing within the Eastern Sector. It didn't take long for the identity of these brigands came to pass. They were Renegades, something the Guilds were not so happy about the galaxy knowing about. Renegades, those Omar who had been seperated from the network of the Guilds underneath the watching of the omniscient Diplomat.
Renegades are often driven insane. Genetically, the Omar are designed for subservience. Often, the psychological impact of becoming alone and seperated, isolated, drives them insane. Violent even, as they lash out with desperation, becoming increasingly suicidal. Renegades usually harbor a special hatred for Guilder Omar. Envy is an aspect that marks the Renegades. The Renegades however, in this respect, have a special affinity for those of the Left Hand Path in the Kehaoti Order. Envy is an aspect they share.
Renegades groups themselves together by instinct, its encoded into the Omar, thus, they do anything they can to rebuild that feeling of belonging they had within the Guilds. Which may explain the brigands in the Eastern Sector. The Osente system's layout keeps FTL vehicles nearly trapped within. It could be very possible that within the Eastern Sector contains a large amount of Renegades, through fate were forced to stay after the Nova and post-hibernation period. A high concentration of Renegades would be a huge security threat to the entire Guilds, as the Osente system is the heart of the Omar, what was once their home. If anything is taken personally, it is the hollow dreams that still lie underneath the rock on the Osente planetoids.
What is this at all meaningful, to anything? An internal problem of the Omar Guilds, an obscure entity. It should mean nothing. But why, why am I fascinated by this? Inssurection. It has only been little less than a decade after the end of the Omar's hibernation, and their coming into being as a center oc commerce, mostling in arms and nanotechnology. The Guilds have spread their influence across the galaxy in the interstellar black markets. Undoubtfully, the Omar are a secret influence.
By now, scholars of the Jedi Orders, of the Sith Orders that have risen, will have been alarmed by the sudden rise of the Kehaoti within the Omar and across the galaxy, enclaves appearing and transhumanist ideology sweeping the underbellies of our advanced societies. The "cult" of the Omar has a profound influence on thinking about the force. Many of those underprivileged, or scorned by the Jedi or the Sith, have been attracted to this order by feelings of inferiority. Envy. It leads back to this concept.
Envy, the Kehaoti, the cult of the Omar, the Renegades. Envy is whats driving this coming trend. I cannot predict the future, the most force adepts can ever claim to know is trends. I have a dark feeling. It requires study, it is only a feeling. Yet it is Envy that drives all insurrections, inferiority, being pressed into this sort of lifestyle that degrades an individual into something less. It drives people to best the object of Envy, and creates a power. It is why the Kehaoti, whom harness neither serenity nor passion, to drive themselves to such extremes, armed with augmentations that even further their quest to overcome their envy. As long as they are inferior, they are superior.
It is my duty as a scholar of the Force to inquire further into this. I do not know if this will be my last essay. I have become well respected in some circles, but now, I must find out the answers. I must seek it out myself. The Jedi Order has shunned me for my thinking independently, they fear me, which makes me laugh at such inflexibility. The Sith, I would never even consider such a thing. I am a scholar, not a destroyer, there is much to preserve. But now, I must end my journey. I will find out the secrets of Envy, I will find out the secrets of the Omar. And I will watch the beginnings of Insurrection.
