Outside Tsars Square Leningrad...... Tsar Sputnik looked down at the gathering masses outside his royal palace.... The skies crimson with the blood of fallen zeeeland soldiers.... the Public outcry at the Tsars progandistic protrayal of zeeelands holier than thou Image resonated throughout the beleauguered city. (under seige by cottish missle attack) security forces were clashing with the public it got so bad the Imperial guard had to get called in.... Tsar sputnik called for help from Kishinev. Vladimir Tupin rejected the Tsar and said the coup was the best for the Zeeeland people the rest of the empire agreed in Unison. and no help was sent from any of the colonies. The Imperial guard had orders to shoot to kill any protestor who threatened the perimeter of the Tsars palace. A zeeeland sergeant of a platoon of Imperial Infantrymen ordered his troops to get ready to shoot under his comand at the oncoming tidal wave of protestors rushing at the palace...... 3...2....1.... The troops fired not at the public but at the military commanders themselves...... This discouraged the Zeeeland security forces enough to stop brutally supressing the protestors and fall back to protect the Tsar...

The Tsar was now spitting blood. His own people about to turn on him. how there they overtrow a representative of god!!! a sat on his thrown and finished the entire bottle of Vodka by his table. when suddenly a group of Zeeeland Imperial military commanders each carring a machine pistol burst into the room....

your highness we must leave at once!!! cried major colonel Oleg Kisov (head of the tsars Security division) flanked by his aide and the Tsars ministers of the duma. Maximilianovich Petrov. chair person of the Duma and Ivan Telov Both pleaded with the tsar to abdicate in order to obtain some grace with the Riotous mob outside. Gunfire and screams of agony resonating through the palace now. and the tsar and his ministers fell silent. they heard the ominous sound of heavy footsteps marching through the palce gates and the screams of the Tsarist troops ordering a retreat into the palace. suddenly a rocket blast shook the palace to the core and the Tsars son Sputnik II fell on the floor crying. tsar Sputnik would have none of it. ordering a machine pistol from one of his loyal troops he placed it at his sons head and without any feeling he pressed the trigger. Blood saturated the tsar and four of his closest ministers. Chaiman Petrov lunged at the Crazed tsar screaming traitor (Fire glistening in his hagged face that deceived the depth of his eyes). before he got that far maximillianovich petrov was cut down by a hail of fire from Sputniks loyal Guard.

"this is an example who ever betrays the tsar will betray Zeeeland" screamed sputnik. the rest of his ministers fell into subseviance wimpering at the aks pointing at them....

Your highness we must go!!!" we have a helicopter arriving to pick you up in 5 minutes. our troops will hold off the public for that long but no longer!!! shouted Kisov!!

Nyet!! shouted the tsar. I have other plans! escort me to the secret defence chambers now!! Reluctantly kisov agreed (a certain degree of resignation in his eyes) you cannot argue with a madman he reasoned......

Freedom, Liberation!!! screamed the rioting zeeeland public who were fighting toe to toe with Zeeeland royal guards on the steps of the tsars palace. Vladimir Blashof (son of Infamous zeeeland communist leader Victor Blashof) headed the movement grappled with a desperate royal guard with a AK74 Bayonet Assault rifle. Blashoff saw the fear in the young soldiers eyes as they struggled to both get the gun the soldier dropped on the ground. Blashof got it first and with remorse he pressed the trigger riddling the young soldier with bullets. He momentarily weeped for the now dead soldier before running along with his other comrades from a counterattack by royal guards by machine gun fire from the palace turrets. bullets wizzed by catching half a dozen rebels in the process. they lay writhing and sreaming on the ground. ands catching vladimir Blashof in the spine he screamed then collapsed on the ground. he got caught by his comrade Janek Volov who said "you will witness the triumph of the people old comrade!" "I hope I do janek I hope I do!" inwhich Vladimir fainted from the pain. (he feels pain hes still alive shouted Janek. get medical suplies quick!!!!. a doctor rushed to Vladimir and began work on his wracked body.

In that Time Janek rushed at the Royal Guard defense post at the gate along with a handful of his loyal Party members. screaming the patriotic Anthem of the people.........

Tsar sputnik was getting even more neurotic the closer they were to the Secret defence chamber at the bottom of the palace which was right beside the tsars personel Vodka Distillery. "Your highness may i inquire into what you are going to the do in the secret defence chamber?" said Kisov closely flanked by two Ak toting royal troops. The Tsar Merely remained ominously quite with just a smirk on his haggard face. "the first the time the Tsars smiled in years" thought Kisov. I wonder what he Intends to do......

no no no!!!!!!! a petrified Zeeelandish gunman screamed at the defense post. The only defensive position standing between the Tsar and the mob.... shut your mouth dog!!!! screamed the fanatical zeeeland captain as he pistol whipped the cowardly officer to the ground. and turning to his other men as if he did nothing wrong and commanded them to take up defensive positions

The Mob rushed at the position.... surging foward like the thrusting of a spearhead. Fire fire Fire Screamed the captain. who was also now petrified. he wet his trousers to the disust of his men. one of them snickered. he was promptly shot by the captain. "you may kill me dogs but the mob will rip you apart!!! fire i sya now do it now!! cried the Captain desperatly. the remainder of his men obeyed.

Rat ta tat tat tat tat tat tatatatatat went the ASK rapid fire mounted machine gun from the defensive position. cutting down rebels like dogmeat.

ratatatatata the machine gun carried on as did the carnage. The captain looked over at the two other last remaining positions. one was now deserted. The other was occupied by only a handful of Infantry men now. The odds were not in his favour.

The rebels trapped the position in a pincer movevement totally sourounding the defensive position and opened fire with their aks and moved to lock in....

The captain ordered his men to protect him while he saved himself. he got out of the trench and ran for it.His men said nothing. One of his troops casually picked up his ak And fired open range at the fleeing captain who then collapsed dead.

The position quickly surrendured to the rebels after that. With the remnants of the defense forcebeing spared...

The doors to the Tsars Palace was now open.............

"Sir, news from Leningrad! The people are revolting against its emperor! We've been in contact with the rebel leaders, and they are willing to trade Leningrad for Benin and Equatorial Guinea. We may just have the break we need sir!"

The Emperor sat up in his chair. He had just ordered another two divisions to head for Leningrad, making the total number of divisions attacking the oblast in the upwards of 18.

"Calm down major. So we have a diplomatic channel?"

"Yes sir. We do."

The Emperor leaned back and smiled. They had a real chance of accomplishing their mission. All they had to do was to play their cards correctly.

"Miss Smythe, take a letter to Zeeelands rebel government."

The Empire of Cotland has been informed that a coup de'tat is in progress in the province of Zeeeland. We wish to give our support to the true government of Zeeeland, and will send in peacekeeping forces. Tsar sputnik reached the control room of the defense chamber where he stated to major Kisov. "The people of this country do not know whats good for them, It is too late for them to realise this now" with a slight maniacal edge to his voice.

Major kisov was now disconcerted..... what is the crazed tsar going to do he thought???

He soon found out....

Tsar sputnik verified hisvoice recognition pattern on the neuclear armaments panel whereas he only had to press the red button to bring about armeggdon not only of zeeeland but also to her neighbours..

noooo screamed kisov who was met with the butt of a AK. Sputnik Smirked and stated that "zeeeland is too good for our own people let alone another foreign power!!!" he shouted....."my Forebears helped Create Zeeeland and i will destroy it!!!"

Kisov sprang into action. he pulled the combat knife from his pocket and attacked Sputniks two Body guards In a spiral Arch. Killing both in a matter of seconds and then lunged at the Tsar......

Sputnik screamed in Agony but found the strength to fire off one round from his machine pistol into major Kisovs chest.

Both men collapsed on the floor... Sputnik dead... Kisov mortally wounded....

On the border with Zeeeland, new orders were sifting down the chain of command.

Move west to St. Petersburg. Minimal resistance expected.

Fire only if fired upon.

Rendevouz with rebel leaders and assume command of Leningrad Oblast.

The orders were clear enough, and soon the first six divisions started to cross the border and move rather quickly inlands. As told in the orders, resistance was minimal. The people seemed overjoyous, and the mood was helped with the Cots giving the new citizens food, medical aid, clean water, protection, and most importantly, they gave the kids virtually tons of Hersey bars and other candy. It was all captured on camera by reporters from virtually around the world, and the TV pictures also traveled all over the world.

It was a PR stunt, and it worked. It showed the world that the Cottish army weren't the savage brutes that they had been portrayed as in the Zeeelandish media. In fact, many of the kids after having been asked how they felt about the Cots said that they thought that "they [the Cots] were great!" And this was just the beginning...

The first six divisions were taking up positions near the city of St. Petersburg and other important areas in Leningrad. Zeeelandish army garrisons were evacuated and occupied by the Cottish Army, and the naval bases were being vacated as well, in order to give the Cottish navy bases in the Baltic Sea. Now the Cots had much of the control in Zeeeland, and it went off without a hitch. The soldiers were handing out candy, food, clothes, blankets, medicine and all that stuff to the population, as well as promising to bring Leningrad back to its former self, the way it had been under Baltic Karelia. Among other things, the Baltic Canal that the Karelians had made would be reopened, giving the Cots the possibility to transfer ships from the White Sea to the Baltic without having to have to sail past Norway and Denmark. Now the Cots had command of two of the world's most important canals. The Suez Canal, and the Baltic Canal. The cots would also reopen several of the old shipyards (after giving them a huge upgrade), factories, businesses, etc. Several trillions of Coins would be invested in Leningrad in the next few years.

Just a few hours before Cottish troops entered the City....

janek and a coningent of Socialist troops stormed through the palace tracshing ornate works of art in their wake. janek tried to stop them, but years of pent up rage at the Tsars frequent blantant shows of gross debauchery and decadence have finally been released like a eruption finally happening on a dormant volcano.

the remnants of the Tsars Royal guard collapsed. The socialists took the Imperial Administration room. where several socialist troops were holding several ministers hostage. one corporal dropped his hankerchief and told the minister of the Interior to pick it up... inwhich he graiciously did so... The corporal feeling rebuked infront of his comrades was about to pistol whip the Interior minister in the Face. Janeks strong hand caught the pistol mid swing and with his other fist smashed the corporal in the face. The corporal fell in a heap. janek roared to the other men in the room " Do not contradict what we stand for gentlemen" the true ideals of socialism!!! with that the other men duly obeyed....

Janek sat down on the Tsars throne. "centuries of Royalty sitting on this thone" and a simple Factory worker from the outskirts of Leningrad now also has this dubious honour" he thought to himself.... suddenly a man in the major colonels uniform of The Zeeeland Imperial army staggered in saturated with blood a certain gleam in his eye...

The socialist guard screamed at major Colonel Kisov now... drop to the floor Tsarist scum!!!! do it do it Now!!! Kisov look Defiant. this Intrugued Janek "that gleam in his eye, He is a good soldier for either side." Janek smiled. Kisov didnt.

Lower your guns men... Janek calmly ordered. lets see what this Tsarist Major has to say... what came next was to shock the room and later the Nation and the world....

Kisov (who was bleeding profusley from the wound he received from the Tsar) calmly stated he killed the Tsar in a desperate succesful attemt to stop the Tsar bringing nuclear armeggdon to the region. and before he collapsed said " I love my Motherland" Janek out of respect for this hero said "I know comrade I know". Then Kisov collapsed dead...........

Janek Later on gave Kisov a full Military burial with Full Military honours. And Kisov Became a Hero of The Zoviat Union (the new official name for zeeeland)

General Commisar Oleg Tantov enterd the Imperial Administration room flanked by two junior Commisars. "Janek my Comrade We have done it!!!! comrade the revolution is a success. however i must tell you our agreement with Cotland stipulates that leningrad Oblast belongs to them now. And in my personal opinion Not soon enough. The Tsars wrecked enough damage for the Cots to keep them busy for a while. but they are a resilient people im told.. Im sure they will cope somehow.... but back to business The Cots should arrive in Leningrad any time now... and we will be there to greet them in an act of good faith...."

Janek Liked Tantov, He got straight to the point and was not prententious... A lot like himself he thought...

Tantov went on " Vladimir Tupin has been nominated by the Commitee to become President of the Union while Vladimir Blashoff will become premier. I will represent both to greet Cotland as they are busy with constructed our new Nation!!!

all we have to do is await Cotlands Response.... have some 400 year old champagne boys!!!! his troops tossed janek and his men dozens of bottles raided from The Tsars Cellar. "after all you desrve it" Tantov Smiled. (both mens nerves were completly fraid at how close the Tsar got to bringing the region down around him...

Official Andrehervian Government Statement

In response of the situation in the Leningrad Oblast and the relatively peaceful transfer of power to Cottish forces, the Central Committee has decided to withdraw its Orange Alert back to Blue Alert and all mobilised forces have returned to base.

We'd like to congratulate Cotland on its recent conquest and hope that relations, if any, haven't diminished due to this incident.

Entering the city of St. Petersburg were the 68th Division. It was a unit with a grand history. Back when the Cottish military consisted of brigades, the 68th Brigade had been the first to enter the bombed-out city of Marsala in Sicily after it had been occupied by the Carthaginians. Right now it would be the first Cottish military unit to enter St. Petersburg in more then 130 years. It was a moment that was captured on tape for the rest of the world to see. A reporter traveling with the Division reported live from the top of the M1A3 Abrams tank he was hitching a ride with said to the world that "the people here are extremely happy. They have been under a opressive rule for many years now, and finally their hour of liberation is here."

Sitting inside a M1114 Humvee driving as the first in the collum of military vehicles, which included M1A3 Abrams and Challenger 2E MBTs, M2A3 and M3A3 Bradley fighting vehicles, M113A4 Gavin APCs and much, much more, were General Phillip Ostly. He was to be the military governor in Leningrad untill they could get elections underway, and after that he would be military commander for the troops in Leningrad.

As his Humvee rolled up to the palace in St. Petersburg, General Ostly stepped out. He was wearing his BDUs, standard combat vest, his trusty M45A1 sidearm and kevlar helmet, just like all other Cottish soldiers. The rest of the soldiers stepped out of their vehicles and quickly secured a perimeter while the General and his staff, escorted by a infantry platoon (40 soldiers) with XM-8s and other assorted equipment, entered the buidling to greet the rebel leaders.

While the General and his entourage greeted the Zeeelandish rebel leaders, Cottish soldiers from the infantry regiments were busy disarming the soldiers and rebels. Zeeelandish SAM sites were deactivated and replaced with Cottish MIM-104 Patriot and MIM-23 HAWK batteries, and many FC-1C Layarteb 88 flak guns and M163A2 PIVADS AAA vehicles were placed in strategic positions. The various military bases in Leningrad were also stripped of any Zeeelandish weapon systems and replaced with Cottish systems. Cottish soldiers were also securing the various airfields, and soon among others F-16s, F-22s and F-29s were flying in to be able to provide suitable air defense. C-5s and C-17s flew in, carrying food, water and other such equipment. Trains were coming in as well, carrying even more soldiers, equipment and humanitarian relief. From the seaway, the carrier strike forces that had fired on the oblast now came in and docked at the recently aquired naval bases. The Cottish plans were to make the Peter-Paul Fortress the headquarters of the Leningrad Defense District. A infantry regiment would be stationed here, for protection. The Empire of Cotland had huge plans for this oblast. They just had to establish themselves here first. Government offices would be established in the Winter Palace, including the Governors office and the offices of the elected provincial government.

Near the small town of Vekti, Cottish soldiers were in the process of securing the town. It was reported that there might be some items that could be of the highest interest to the Cottish government there. So the Army sent a company to secure it.

Before they came to the first houses, the soldiers came under fire. Most likely from a AK-47 by the sound of it. Immediately the soldiers dispersed and started to return fire, just like they had trained on so many times during both basic training and at least once a week when they weren't on deployment. It was a text-book manouver. They had one squad lay down a heavy covering fire while the rest of the men flanked the house where the fire originated from quickly from both left and right. A few hundred rounds were wasted before the Cottish soldiers were able to reach the house and enter it, clearing it. The shooter were quickly apprehended and detained alive, thanks to two M84 flashbangs into the small room where the shooter fired from.

Once inside the house, the Cots were amazed to find that the basement were filled with weapons. Enough to arm an entire army. 5000 AK-47s, 1000 RPDs, 1000 RPG-7Vs and hundreds of handgrenades. But that wasn't all. Following a tunnel below the house, the Cots came across a hidden storage guarded by 6 men. They all payed with their lives for resisting arrest, and inside the crates in the storage the Cots found 2000 gold bullions marked with the seal of the former Zeeelandish Emperor. That gold would be melted down and remade into bullions, only this time bearing the seal of the Cottish Emperor. And it would all be kept very hush-hush...

As the dawn of the second day of Cottish rule in Leningrad rose, more trains and planes came over the old border, where the border stations were being demolished by Combat Engineers from the Cottish army. They carried everything imaginable. Food, clothes, electronics, military equipment, factory parts. You name it, it were on its way to Leningrad. Several factories were to be constructed in Leningrad, producing everything from computers to cars to ammunition. Already Cottish soldiers were enforcing the law in the cities and towns, as police forces were being reeducated to Cottish standards. They would be ready to hit the streets in three months. Untill then the 140 000 soldiers stationed in Leningrad would provide police and security services for Leningrad. The population were in love with the Cottish forces, and with the stronger economy and promise of employment that the Cottish brought with them, they wouldn't stop any time soon. Because the Cots intended to fullfill those promises.
