Now, I'm not so sure about where EI is in AMW. I didn't include Spyr because his actions always mirror the Indias. Now that there is only one China, looks like the contest is between three RP'ers.

Since action speaks louder than words, I suppose the Indias hold the Pacific ransom with their dominance of the Indian Ocean, forcing oil supplies to be diverted.

Then who else is there? France and Roycelandia are pitting their combined Asian influence against the Commonwealth. If they fail, BG will be the greatest Asian conqueror since... Dra-pol, I suppose. The Chinas have no history of influence. They may build one, though.

All but a few hundred Beddgelens (this is a democracy, after all) consider Bolshevism to be essentially the same as, for example, the old Sinoese junta. Bolsheviks in Beddgelert run the risk of bayonetting at any moment.

By choice, the Igovian Soviet Commonwealth maintains a nuclear arsenal not much bigger than that of the five-times-smaller United Kingdom... still quite sufficient to wreck China should the savage nationalists ever think to start a nuclear war.

BG generally does not rely on nuclear intimidation, recognising that its enemies will be felled by popular revolt rather than mutual obliteration.

When Igovians called capitalism an enemy is anybody's guess. It seems that we've a right to ask why the Sinoese like to sleep with small children and to lick combine harvester parts, while things are being made-up on the spot!

So far the polls reveal no changes from the last series. Sino still leading. I expect _Taiwan to either overtake or come closely second.

I dunno, I think there's too little cohesion in Asia at the moment for anyone to be clearly more influential than anyone else, in most ways.

Sino forces some nations to keep up military spending for fear of some sort of genocidal outburst, Bonstock has a knack for uniting everyone against it, BG always has the potential to turn discontent into outright revolution in usually minor states; but I don't know that anyone really listens to anyone else, these days :) AMW has an increasingly clear trade split between right and left economies, I think, so it's hard for either to exert economic pressure on the other.

I can actually see a good argument for Xiaguo being up in the top few, as perhaps the most likely bridge between the sides, but if they just keep bending over for Sino, that bridge is never going to be tred, and by exerting some Chinese influence, Sino probably only reduces China's voice in the world as the left turns its back.

I don't know, the poll seems to suggest that some think Taiwan has a similar role, but I don't know that I see it.

There's always the Roycelandian and to a lesser degree the French presence... and are we not counting United Elias as a player on the Asian scene? I can't see China's capitalist economies relying on Russian oil, being as that country's so unstable.

I say Taiwan or big BG. Sorry, Sino, but you need a little work when it comes to writing out RPs and in your global vision.

I am located where Australia is, with the population of Australia (close to 20 million). The only difference between me and Australia is that my nation is split into several massive island chains (hence Islandia) instead of one landmass.

And I dont expect to get any votes because it has been a while since I've been active and no one listens to me anymore. Still, Nationstates is fun again, so I'm not really complaining.

The media organizations (if RP'ed) in AMW would have opinions quite different. China still dominates the news with its unification and new military developments. Our technology still beats most of the world.

Let's not forget that the Sinoese orchestrated the unification, with both spectacular military action and a guarantee of peace. _Taiwan has very innovative military technology and tactics, while the Mainland's missiles cover the entire continent.
