Why I.I. kicks ass

Green Sun

I've been on NS as Green Sun since...November I think. And from that point I've developed an archemesis, fought my first nation twice, went through a bloody civil war that changed my goverment, and most of all, I've found a lot of friends. Unfortuneately I've inherited their enemies, as well, it seems. But that's not the point. Every day I get on and every time I RP I build my nation to my liking. I can't do that in any of the other forums. I've created the Royal Family out of necessity, which has caused me to build my nation further. By putting myself in these new situations each time I grow and I know that somehwere else in the NationStates forums there's someone confronting someone else but, because he thinks II has low-quality RPs, won't do anything about it. And I feel sorry for that person, yet, at the same time, I laugh at them because I use the others around me to make myself grow and I try to get the younger ones to do the same.

For those who wonder why I'm so nice to the newbies, my answer is this: The newbies are the future Green Sun and Unbrella Corp. They're the next Euroslavia and Roach-Busters. So instead of yelling at them and telling them that they're breaking the rules, I tell them to read the stickies and I tell them what they should change to help them out. Eventually they will do as I have done. They will form their own ideas and they will build around those like a clay ball. You start with a pebble and you bump and collide with the otehrs as you roll it around on a giant clay wall. As you bump on these other clay balls, they share some of their clay and make yours bigger, whereas you bumping into them makes them bigger, as well. It can be also compared to love. Instead of losing a bit of love when you give love to someone you actually gain it by giving it out. The more you give out, teh more you have.

So thank you, International Incidents, for allowing Green Sun to become its own self.

Well, you make a good point. I will help newbs to develop; but n00bs who are only here to flame and troll and generally be annoying, damn themselves through their own stupidity. It is good to see Green Sun come into its own as a nation; it's always good to see someone you've known develop. Like me and Azaha, or me and Krieg; it's all fun, and nurtures future Rpers. Seeds becoming plants and making seeds of their own; growing till all I.I is a beautiful garden, a testament to the skill and authority of it's inhabitants. I've known many nations here, and have had alot of help; and so to all of them, I want to say thanks. Everyone here has made NS more enjoyable and dynamic for me; even though many won't like me for my evilness ;)

I love I.I, I try to come on here as often as possible, and involve myself in as many roleplays as i can, I know my Rp'ing isnt up to scratch and could be improved, but I do my best, and I want The Kraven Corporation to be synomnous with the word Evil, which i think its starting to happen, and its what i want to happen, which is good...

some of my more memorable RP's are

NS war part 1
The Current and On Going Xirnium Thread
The Current pacification of Ankaristahn
The Kimojuno War
Dark Endeavours (I enjoyed it, but in the end it wasn't what i was looking for, It would have ended up fucking over my nation, at the time i started it i was fine with it, but as it progressed and other things happened around it, i decided i didnt want my nation trashed for some little technology that wouldn't have been worth all the trouble, so appologiese to all those who participated in Dark Endeavours)

Yeah, the aim of the thread was for me to gain the technology to teleport troops around, but it would have only been like a squad of 5 a day, and tbh it wasn't worth trashing my nations with deamons and shit, so again my humble apologeise

Only II allows for a true interaction between nations. NationStates and Gameplay RPing forums may allow for interaction between players, but the nations and people that roleplay in Internation Incidents intertwine with one another in ways that the others can't touch. Heh. That was bad. All nations are ongoing pieces of art, both real life ones and ones on the forums. NS allows for a person to shape his nation, but not with the flexibility of II. II has another feature: True interaction between the nations. Yes, there are wars in the other forums, but those belong in II anyways, so they don't count. But these conflicts, meeting, projects, storefronts, elections, and even just a general OOC idea thread that never kicks off allows for the clay balls of other nations to add to everyone else's lump of clay. This allows people to twine their ideas, their creations, their children, their very minds together, which allow for the user's mind and their nation to enhance itself.

One thing I have noticed in the NS forums is the fact that new threads hardly ever get the attention they deserve. Almost every thread in II gets tagged or added to at least once in II. I had three RPs that i tried to start there. None of them kicked off. If I were to try them in II, they would have shot off like a rocket. A lot of really good but small RPs in II that belong in NS or GP seem to be more productive here than where they belong. Granted, the players of the other forums are really good, but II allows for the newbie to become more, it seems, than the others. On paper, it should be different, but maybe there's something about 'Incidents' that catches the newbies' eye. It caught mine.

Yeah, II rocks. It's always fun here, and although we have a lot of Class. B noobs, not many Class c, but nowhere near enough Class A. I think the main reason I don't RP so much is because we have so many Class. C noobs like Green Sun! :P

Nah, II is where it's at. You can't get this much RPing elsewhere.

The only roleplaying forums are International Incidents and Nationstates. Gameplay has to do with in-game things such as regions, invading/defending, etc. Anything (to an extent) that is not RP'ing.

To those of you whom may have read I Can Only Image thing in this forum, you can tell that I'm not exactly an AMF or RB, but I'm one of the newbies who've come out their shells and are exploring NationStates.

I was to give a shout of thanks out to people like Automagfreek, The Macabees, Sarzonia, ect, ect. I've read many of their RPs trying to learn how to RP, trying to blend styles and learn what one needs to focus upon when writing an RP. Also Euroslavia for that helpful how to rp thread, the outline on there and suggestions are helping me forge my next rp about Alchemy. So I can start becoming what Green Sun calls the next "Euroslavia or Roach-Busters".

By the way, I've looked at the NationStates forum and I find nothing on there that makes me want to RP on there...it seems dead and overrated. But thats just me.

I remember the Ol' Days.....

NS World War I
NS World War II

Man, and a helluva lot of other threads. All the vets were there, everyone was there. It was an amazing time, and I did my best to keep up. So good was the Role Play back then, anything could happen. It was so cool...All this on the boards before Jolt and the like, some of it after perhaps.

But, most of all, I remember the players, the IRC, the server crashed (lol), Forum 7 and the worship of Reploid Productions (Woohoo!), and a helluva lot of other things.

Sometimes, though, I miss one thing:

Nodea Rudav

My old self, everyone knew me well as that.......and I miss that. I wonder if anyone can remember me, besides the vets I know now. I wonder if I am remembered. Did my best to make a place in NS History.....because I know that many a player made an impression on me.

Heh, well...you know.

*sighs* Old days past are Good days to come.

The only good wars in NationStates? Hah.

I'm sorry but ever since I've been here I've only complete two wars, and the second I was on vacation. Every other war always ends in a blaze of flamage. Also, II used to be good... but the RP has how you say... hmm, lowered in standards. Hell I will admit I'm not as good a writer I used to be.

I mean granted gone are the days of genocide at every turn, but there are some old cliches that are played at times.

And there is the whole cult status around certain writers that really disturbs me. Yes they are good, but there is far better work everywhere. And then there are the really good newbies that write, man we've seen an explosion of them, and yet they leave. Granted I am to blame too because I don't reply.

So I don't care if this comes off as trollish, but if you show me a war that is completed, written good, and ends properly then maybe I'll change. But for now, all I see are storefronts.

Hell, no one wants that. II is where I began as well; as a fledgling MT nation; through to FT, overcoming my flaws. I remember I started Rping as 'The Imperium' when I first got into 40k, and immediately wanted to have a Blackstone fortress....C'tan warned me off. Shows how far we've all came :P

Me, I haven't RPed really in, what, about six months? Sure, I was able to squeeze out a token RP in June, before my Internet access left me for the summer. I'm back at college now, but I just haven't been able to find the time and wherewithal to start a serious RP to pick up where I left off.

I tried to come up with original ideas, such as spending twenty NS years researching how to replace n00ks with tectonic ICBMs, and a catastrophic climate change RP which saw my nation go to FT...but somehow, I get the feeling that I have a long ways to go.
