Hail,

The most glorious Senate of the Borderlands of Forthox, territory of Rome, has come to the decision that, due to its recent stability and recovery from the treacherous native rebellion, foreign trade and immigration will once again be allowed into its collective holdings.

In a surprise ruling, contrary to all past decisions, it has been decreed that nations who declare a binding defensive military alliance and trade priorities with the Forthox Republic will be given limited access to its bustling Uranium Mining industry.

Signed,
Consul Rivyth Shnell of the Forthox Borderland Senate, territory of Rome.

We could possibly agree to trade agreements but we must know more about your nation, its government, size of military, etc. before we could agree to any defensive alliance.

Tell us some basic info about your nation via a telegram to us.

Hail,

The most glorious Senate of the Borderlands of Forthox has wisely decided, after long periods of deliberation, that the Uranium trade pact offer will not be extended to Communist Louisiana due to inconsolable differences.

Officially,
Consul Rivyth Shnell, Senator of the Forthox Borderlands, a territory of Rome.

Private Transmission to Forthox, from the IOS Council Of Clans.

The council of clans hopes that you will keep destructive nuclear technology out of the hands of nations that might use such weapons for anything but deterrence. While we do not need any more nuclear materials, we are willing to purchase them from you to prevent proliferation.

Hail,

The Borderlands of Forthox is not marketing Roman nuclear technology. This rigid ruling only allows the accepted nations, who must follow the strenous requirements put forth by the Senators, limited access to the Uranium Mining industry of Forthox.

Signed,
Consul Rivyth Shnell, Senator of the Forthox Borderlands, a territory of Rome.

Federal Republic of Aequatio

Hail,

The glorious Senate of the Borderlands of Forthox reminds Aequatio that it does not have international jurisdiction to judge such a transaction by a neutral nation as unlawful, as that power lies within the sovereign countries involved within the trade. The Borderlands of Forthox deals only with legitimate and UN-recognized nations. It is not Aequatio's position to declare what is fit and unfit concerning Roman trade, as its government is a separate entity with no legal power over the Borderlands of Forthox.

Such a warning of pure intervention is seen as a hostile disregard for the wisdom of the Senate in making international trade decisions and Forthox's sovereignty-- one that mocks the dignity, independence, and honor of all Roman territories. Aequatio should tread lightly in the affairs of independent nations, as impetuous decisions are bound to have negative consequences with the international community.

The Senate is, as always, open for diplomatic discussion.

Respectfully,
Consul Rivyth Shnell, Senator of the Forthox Borderlands, a territory of Rome.

The Aequatian Republic only seeks to limit proliferation of these types of weapons, as too many unqualified nations in our eyes seem to gain possession all to easily. Our declaration of intervention was not a direct threat of hostility towards the nation of Forthox unless they plan to conduct unlawful trade in nuclear arms or materials. Other than that, we are willing and would be glad to open diplomatic relations between our nations on a positive note.
