OOC: I've seen this done a few times but thought I could add more fun. Or something. I'm going to pin it on sheer boredom. Oh yeah, this was bought from the Hunitrain Galaxy. As in the space needed for the so called “track”

(OOC: Tag, Damn, I was going to do some kind of Wipeout (Avid Fan) styled AG race, but I guess that I can get around to this sometime.)

OOC: I can add more slots if you want. And add different kinds of races. I"m very open to suggestions. If more people join up, I will make some maps and give out more detailed rules ect ect.

Why not have a "dragstrip"? prove your ships abilities in a clean straight line race. Can be either FTL or STL.

Small Sublight track rules:
Info: A small tight winding track that will make your best captains cry. Starts at athens. Goes throught the entire system. Nothing can stop you, expect for maybe other racers and their own tractor beams.

1. No use of weapons
2. No ships over 100 meters
3. No grav feild genertators
4. Use of tractor beams will be premitted. ( as in slamming another ship into a another ship, station or astroid. )
5. Speed Limit: .80c
( maps will be provided later in the day )

Track Lengh: 913,520,000km

Small FTL Race Track rules:
1. No ships smaller than 120 Meters
2. No weapons
3. No Grav feild generators
4. Tractor beams may be used
Track Length: 10,913,520,000km

FTL 'Drag':
Info: 40,000ly one line, 4 ships.
1. " Instant " drives will be raced aganist other " instant " drives
2. No other rules, race as dirty as you desire.

FLT Rally:
Info: 1 Million lightyear track. It is impossible to stay in FTL the entire time. You will encounter FLTi feilds that will drag you out of FTL. StarFleet task forces that will attempted to slow you down or knock you out of the race. You may return fire, but you must tone your weapons down to regulation power levels. So you cannot destory them, it's up to the captains to use more than just guns to get past them ( IE, outsmart them ). The ' Track ' will pull you out of FTL and eject you from TE territory if you break rules.
Rules:
1. No use of weapons, expect when stated ( will be shown on maps )
2. No use of " instant " drives.
3. No use of QS or blackhole generators.
4. If you ' find ' any object along the way, you may use them.

Battle Track:
1. No rules, fight it out, the best is the last standing.

Count the Scarecrows in for the spectator crowd. And the popcorn replicators.

What if any is the speed limite for the short FTL and the FTL rally?
Also the shortest possible time for the sublight race is just over an hour.

Snake Eaters= Yes please, just sign up and send a ship to our territoy, Where it will be inspected and hopefully passed for racing,
Theao- Short FTL will have a speed limit. Around 2-5C
Current Record Holders:
FTL Rally: Avenger 2- 16 days
Short FTL: NIVM Arrogant- 16 minutes
Sublight- USS Tienmen- 59.9999 Minutes

OOC: Yes this will turn into an actual novel format RP.

We will be sending one of our ships, the Defiant-class S.E.N Chimera, to participate in these races. Although the ship is equipped with weapons, as it is a frontline warship, we will install a prohibitor to prevent weapons fire in normal racing, unless the ship is racing in the FTL Rally, and once again, we will reduce the firepower accordingly

You will encounter several things, that are not starfleet vessels.

Also, Any damages to the race track will result in a hefty hefty fine. And yes there is a ' track ' that you have to stay on. The FTL rally track is nearly 1.1 Million Lightyears in lengh( yes it turns and intersects itself ). Any damages to the FTLi generators or Grav Feild generators, you will be charged accordanly.

This is understood. The Chimera will enter your space inside the next twenty-four hours, and once there will proceed to wherever you deem fit

We have developed a craft that we wish to run throught this race course on all three tracks. It shall be arriving shortly.
