Justinian’s powerful arms fitted snuggly into the jacket. “Tudor, another masterpiece, this suit is perfect,” he said, buttoning up the top jacket buttons.

“I’m glad his holiness is pleased,” replied Tudor the tailor, bowing graciously at the Emperor’s comments.

Justinian walked up to the mirror and looked into it, studying the fine white of the jacket and trousers, and the black silk shirt. His servants fussed over his deep red tie, aligning and realigning it to precision. Behind him, his hairdresser was on a step ladder, refining Justinian’s part.

“Enough,” he uttered, and his servants stopped, “It is time to go.”

The two imperial guards in their white uniforms, opened the door and then stood perfectly still waiting for the Emperor to pass through it.

The Emperor stepped out of his changing room, and proceeded along the corridor to the Grand Council, with Imperial Guard smothering the walls on either side of him. As he approached the council, the cry became louder and louder, “Justinian, Justinian, Justinian.”

When within meters of the final door, imperial guards opened it and Justinian continued forward, emerging in full view of the entire Grand Council. The chanting, very loud in the chamber suddenly ceased. Liberal [OOC: Liberal isn’t American Liberal], Labor, Conservatives and Fascists all burst into a massive applause for the beloved Emperor. Even the odd socialist was seen to clap.

Justinian walked up to his personal podium in front of semi-circular council.

“Fellow Farminans; in Random Kingdom we through away the rot of the socialism and replaced it with capitalism. We have destroyed tyranny and put in its place freedom. We have forced Mondoth to yield to our terms. Our hard line on leftism and those who would see our nation enslaved has brought us victory on every front we fight, and yet causalities are still less than the number who sit in this very room.

But the left now sits in fear. Our victories do not go unnoticed. The Island of Rose has declared war on Farmina, putting the Rosians and Farmina at war for a second time in our history. We shall not allow there to be a third. I call upon you to support our armada, which at this very moment sails to liberate the good Catholic Rosians, from the tyranny of left wing ideas.

Any move against must be matched by one much greater, it is the only way to discourage further foolishness, further challenges to our nation. A declaration of war can only be matched by the defeat of our enemies. The leftists must be removed, freedom, true freedom must prevail.

The Commander General, head of the Marines, added his voice to the assembly. "Nay, I say we invade Farmina. They will have to pull back from Rose. By the time they have returned to their nation, we could have a beachhead and control a good portion of the nation."

The meeting went on for hours. Finally, a plan was made.

Harc grinned. "So it's been approved? Good. Then start Operation: Crusade."

Upon his guilded throne sat Emperor Helldawg V, and before him knelt all of his highest ranking generals. He was clad in his ceremonial armor, his mace leaning against his throne, while the generals wore their black uniforms. He had called them before him to discuss the TIOR-Farmina situation.

This was a situation his nation hadn't yet faced: two Catholic nations pitted against each other. Naturaly, he was going to support Farmina. However, killing fellow believers wasn't something he wished to go through with.

"So...what can you tell me of TIOR's armed forces?" he said.

The High Overseer of Imperial Intellegence spoke first, "My liege, I can tell you right now that we would be vastly outnumbered and outgunned in an naval battle."

"Tell me something I don't already know." replied the emperor sarcastically. The High Overseer continued,

"However, their land and air forces are a complete joke..."

"Well I wasn't exactly worried about being defeated in those particular areas in the first place, Overseer."

"Inquisitor, how shall we go about the purging of fellow believers?

New rule of engagement regarding Neo Earth troops have been included and includes a free-fire rule.

The deployment of Army Group Steel to Farmina will commence at once, including increased air support and logistics personal. This will total up DDF troops in Farmina; including units of the RFPG to 200.000 combat capable personal and needed logistics.

For the second time that day, the Rosian ambassador charged, looking tired and worried, through the door of the Foreign Ministry. He sprinted up to one of the communications staff, whose face now bore an expression of mixed amusement and fear, and waved a message at her.

"Rose! Under attack!" he gasped, leaning on the desk. "Farmina...war...in message!" He then charged back out, leaving the door swining in the dawn breeze. The officer shook her head and calmly condensed the message for the relevant ministries.

Given that much of the armed forces had already been mobilised in any case, with the aim of dealing with Roach-Busters, it wasn't too difficult to re-allocate them to dealing with Farmina instead. Encoded orders quickly brought those ships already at sea onto new courses for Farmina. The submarines would take a little longer, even with their crude LACOM systems. Nonetheless, all ships which had been targeting Roach-Busters and its vessels had their new orders within 12 hours - open season on Farminan ships, too.

The unprovoked aggression on the part of "Emperor" Justinian and his band of spineless yes-men he calls a "Grand Council" against The Island of Rose cannot be tolerated by any standard. As a longtime ally of TIOR and a signatory to the NATO charter, the Imperium will not allow the military forces of barbarians claiming divine guidance to rampage across her lands.

Two Household Guards stood next to the unmarked door as the Emperor walked briskly towards it. The door opened automatically and the Emperor entered with his son, and his brother. It was a dimly lighted room, but one could already see the other seven seats representing the military were filled. The Emperor moved to his throne, the others bowed, and all took their seats.

"My Lord," said Lord Lawrence Hollistein, "we have recieved communiques, and sporadic intelligence stating that the Island of Rose has or will be attacked in the near future."

The Emperor nodded as he looked up from the intelligence papers that lay before him. "As you all remember, we fought with the Rosians in the past. Unfortunately, some of their recent policies go against what we believe. I do not wish to commit to this war, as of yet. What are our options?"

Admiral Lord Charles Clancey answered the question "Sire, we have many options in the matter. We have an ample number of ships in short distance from the islands. They are ready to be dispatched whenever, they are returning home from a standard cruise.We can keep them at a safe distance to observe, since I too agree, that war should be the last thing on our minds."

The Emperor nodded, and so it was done. A courier took the note and ran off to a relay room close to the chambers. The council entered into other matters of state.

OOC: I don't want to get too involved yet...because I don't neccessarily have a side yet as stated above. I'll see what happens and from there I'll decide what I am going to do.

The Empire would like to remind all involved, that, eventhough Farmina is in the wrong, an attack on their homeland will not be tolerated.

It is time for Farmina to sit on the burns, their attacking fleet will be destroyed but their homeland will remain untouched; DDF troops stationed in Farmina will see to its defence and security.

We advise our Praetonian allies not to deal to harshly with the Farminians, a slap on the wrist will do.

The Empire of the Golden Throne will remain neutral in this bloody conflict as both parties are somewhat diplomatically cordial with us. However, it would be safe to say that the Empire would not tolerate a direct attack on the homeland of Farmina, and will rush to her defense if such a scenario arises. Furthermore, we hope that this conflict is resolved through peace, not war.

In any case, we will not cease any arms sale to either party in the war, if they wish to be armed, although any arming would be done for a fee. Although we do not currently have any orders for any nations taking place in the war, we will not turn a customer back if such an opportunity arises.

The Democratic Empire of Teh Ninjas offers it's military and financial support to The Island of Rose in this new incident. Though we do not seek for war any attempt made to invade Rosian held waters or airspace will be seen as a direct attack against Ninjania and her allies and it will be responded to accordingly.

Japanese Antarctica wishes to express its disapproval of Farmina's announcement concerning The Island of Rose. Though we are rather unfamiliar with the history between Farmina and The Island of Rose, we have determined that Farmina is the aggressor in this case. If Farmina does not back down, Japanese Antarctica will come to the aid of The Island of Rose in any way she sees fit. This latest development has ruined your chances of restoring, at the very least, cordial relations with Pacitalia. I hope, in that, you will rethink your choices, for the sake of your people and mine.

Krekar sat in his chair at one end of the table, his head bowed, his body seemingly frail in the presence of his Masters. The fiery Lord was not the absolute ruler of the Infernal Demonic Dominion, contrary to popular belief. He was a member of the Chamber, the least senior member at that. The people sitting at the table with him were the real rulers of the country, for this Chamber consisted of Greenmanbry's "heads of state", if you will.

Never has a foreign issue been transferred to the Chamber. Krekar usually dealt with such issues, including declarations of war, himself. But this was a special case. One of the nation's closest allies is under threat of invasion. The Dominion's lost ally, Granzi, and the weakened relations with its other non-NATO allies made the Chamber determined not to lose another nation to the power-hungry, glory-seeking pigs that were in abundance in this world.

"How the hell did this happen, Krekar? How the hell did they declare war on the Rosians without you knowing? Without our services intercepting any messages or encrypted transmissions? This is beyond humiliating, Krekar!"

Krekar hesitated, his sweat starting to cover his forehead, "This was completely unexpected, Lord. It happened just like that." Krekar snapped his fingers, which made the members of the Chamber cringe, "No clues, no warnings, no ultimatums, nothing. For all we know, Justinian the Dog, of Farmina could have drafted the declaration while showering in his bathtub."

With the rather blunt formalities out of the way, two of the IDDG Navy's four active fleets were ordered to relocate to Rosian territorial waters. On the bridge of the flagship of the Indian Ocean Fleet, DGV Leviathan, Fleet Admiral Anai Garang retreated to his cabin, having intercepted the commands from the IDDG Naval Headquarters at Port Nubia to change the Fleet's heading to The Island of Rose. Another deployment, the weary Admiral looked at the clock. He sighed, shrugged, and sat down at his desk. Briefings and orders of battle were coming in and, being in command of this operation, it was his job to make sure everything was in order.

As various angry diplomatic messages were exchanged between nations, the sound of marching could be heard in the great port cities of Doomingsland as men boarded transports. Several fleets set sail for Farmina, carrying over 200,000 men. It had been decided that rather then attack TIOR, they would defend Farmina.

Just as the Emperor raised his gavel to end the meeting a junior officer ran in through one of the side doors. He ran to the head of the large oak conference table and bowed to his Emperor, as he handed the notice above his head. Emperor Newt XX took the note, and nodded to the young man. He read it over quickly and looked up.

"Gentlemen," he said with his slight English accent "we have just recieved notice that the Island of Rose did not begin this stupid feud, contrary to our initial intelligence. Yes, recently some of the left-leaning ideas of this island have offended some of our conservative politics, but I feel these petty leanings are not enough to stand by neutrally." He paused and looked towards Lord Hollistein "It is time to inform Farmina to stand down."

Lawrence nodded slightly as he thought of how to word the upcoming document. The Emperor looked around the room at the somewhat grimacing faces of his military leaders. He spoke again "Friends, I know we are entering into a bloody conflict if it occurs, but the freedom to choose is what makes free nations like The Island of Rose so important in this dark world." He paused and looked at Admiral Clancey "How long until the fleet arrives?"

The white clad Admiral answered "A mere two hours." The Emperor nodded, and the gavel fell. The men rose quickly, bowed and ran out to their offices with in the palace.

"The Armed Republic of Soviet Bloc will not hesitate to defend its ally, the Island of Rose, from foreign attack. If any attempt is made at attacking the Island of Rose, our forces stationed at Soviet Bloc bases on Rosian soil will be galvanized into action, decisively and without pause or hesitation. Until then, we will take a passive role in the conflict, supplying arms and supplies to our ally while providing our 17th Expeditionary Fleet and 12th Expeditionary Fleets as a form of deterrance and protection for the Island of Rose. The 21st Amphibious Assault Group and 24th Expeditionary Fleet will remain in their berths awaiting the call to bring a nation to its knees.

Our air forces in the region will take an active defense role, providing the Rosians with sophisticated airborne radar, aerial jamming, electronic warfare, and electronic surveillance aircraft to patrol the Rosian skies in conjunction with their own forces. We will provide airborne refueling aircraft to all nations assisting in the defense of TIOR and we will provide access to our air base for repairs, refueling, re-armament, and even hold-over.

Sergei cleared his throat. "We also have the entire world on our side, minus Farmina and CAD of course. The Soviet Bloc, Greenmanbry, NATO, Praetonia, rumors say Dumpsterdam, and that whole lot. So when it comes to maintaining our image, this is a public bonanza."

Wilhem von Sturben stood. Pointing to the giant monitor on the wall. "The Rosian Navy will make or break the defense of the Island. We have over 2,375 ships waiting to blast them out of the water. Expectations are high, they say that we have the ability to win. And with the support of our allies it triples, of course we must not be cocky. If we are penetrated, and God help us if we are, we will have our new Imperial Mk. IIs at the shore ready to blast them. And if they go by the tanks, we will have our Armies ready to duke it with the Rosians underground and/or aiding defense. It will be hard to conquer us." He smirked as he sat.

Nicolas, head of Financial affairs, stood up. "Needless to say, this will put a strain on our budget, but with the money flowing from other nations we are safe. Rosta can agree with me." He sat.

Rosta nodded, Rosta being head of Commerce.

Tanya, head of the Interior, stood up. "I have nothing else to add, let the commanders handle this and we are safe."

It saddens us to see that so soon after the cessation of our conflict with Farmina that Farmina takes up arms against a sovereign nation. Alhough we are not in the usual habit of breaking treaties so soon, or of ending trade unnecesarily, Farminas warmongering in this case (so similiar to the war mongering we were accused of in the recent negotiations) is unignorable, Mondoth Condenms Farmina as a hazard to Humanity and calls for an immediate end to the reign of emperor Justinian, We have ceased trade with Farmina indefinately and have issued warning to all of our citizens to leave Farmina with expediency. All Farminan vessels currently within Mondothian Sovereign Wters will be allowed to return to Farmina but any Farminan vessels attempting to enter Modothian waters will be Impounded and their crews returned to Farmina.

Until Emperor Justinian is removed from power, A Mondothian Naval Task Force will be assigned position outside of Farminan Sovereign waters.
