It's obvious that the Feline Catfish crisis isn't going to end very well if things continue the way that they are now. My proposal is that the leaders of Feline Catfish and the coalition meet for talks. The talks will be held within Rejected Nations due to our desire to stay neutral. Only the leaders are to show up. I shall attend. This war could kill millions if not billions, even if only a few nations deploy nuclear wepons. The war would not be fought for any good reasons. So far all I see this as is a bunch of head butting. It seems the leaders on both sides are acting more like mountain goats than natinal leaders.

Emmisary Jessica Talisker shall attend. She speaks for the Empire in these matters. Furthermore, any attack on this conference will be responded to by military action from the Isle of Skye.

This situation is quite confusing, as The Diplomatic Corps recieved a request for a 100NM border. Because the Isle of Skye does not use "Nautical Miles," and because "Nautical Miles" were not specified in the transmission in question, the Isle of Skye currently has a legal recognizance of a 100 Nanometer sea border. This is because NM in Isle of Skye legal documents has stood for NanoMeters for several decades. F.C. has failed to respond to our communication, and has issued a military warning, but will retract such a warning if FC wishes to attend this conference.

OOC: All this Feline Catfish stuff has really been blown out of proportion. So what a nation doesnt want to have any conventional military, and instead wants a few nuclear weapons at his disposal. Who cares, its his nation. And while I have stayed out of this conflict for the most part, I do have an easy way of fixing this:

Someone just nuke the other. That way all these Feline Catfish threads will disappear and we can get on with out business. Plus there will be a few less annoying nations to deal with.

Meh, peace talks are probably the only solution for this situation. If it came to war with the amount of people involved it would take about 2 weeks until everyone is mobilised. To just fight a war with all these participants will take several weeks and will eventually be abandoned then.

Maybe I'll do some peacetalks of my own for this, but i'll probably combine them with another event then.

I dont see why everyone shouldnt just "piss off and leave him alone". He hasnt actually done anything to anyone that wasn't justified (ie. nuking a fleet that was going to invade and crush him) and I think all the big nations trying to crush him (like Fluffywuffy, Communist Louisina and (to a lesser extent) Risban) should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. OOC: Yeah, pretty much, though to be fair I'm responding to it as my nation would, in character and looking at this situation in character I can see that given that fact so many nations, not least of all Automagfreek, have offered their support to the little guy then it's not a matter of talking about it, but a matter of the people pushing their ideals on the little nation accepting that AMF will follow through with his words and bash the living crap out of anyone who tries to pull anything on FC.

They can talk about it all they like, but the situation has a solution of sorts now, by having someone like AMF protect FC, it produces a real danger to this situation and few nations are willing to take... chances are that very little military action will happen unless FC is dumb enough to abuse this protection.

We still need to solve this problem though.

Automagfreek knows how to handle himself and while you can talk to him about things, he's not the kind of person to give any concessions unless you have something to offer, given that Fluffywuffy and CL are likely both concerned by Lord Dreadfire to be weak in comparion he will see no need to bow to any of their demands and instead will simply warn them not to try anything... if they do try something then he'll be happy in the knowledge that he tried as he plunders their lands with the massive coalition behind him.

I think your one of the few nations with any sense you know what I mean?

If that's your opinion, then ignore him, and if the majority of the NS community also agrees and ignores hi he will be forced to stop using nukes. That's the only way an "RP rule" can be enforced. This particular one I actually disagree with, and so I wont ignore him.

Once agian I agre. It's just that for a new nation to have nukes, it makes no sense, conisdering the fact that they are new. I think in some ways FC dragged himself into this. Though i disagree with both isdes arguements, and vehmenatly neutral.

I think we should solve the problem of him having the nukes first. Figure out who sold them to him later.

What rule? You mean NS has rules about who can own Nuclear Weapons? I've never read any such rules in the FAQ and I know for sure there are no rules about selling nuclear weapons to small nations... I don't know about you but this is Freeform RP.

Hear, hear, another nation with some sense. He's a smei-good RPer, but like you said he refuses constructive critism, and to use those helpful GDP calculators, which are very helpful to a good RPer.

The situation is this: One side doesn't want FC to get nukes because it may lead to other new nations demanding nuclear weapons to "defend" themselves, and the other side says that there are no laws against FC or any new nations from having nukes. Theres a difference between having nukes to defend yourself and having nukes for the hell of it. As far as I know, FC didn't need the nukes before, but now he sure as hell needs them if this is going to escalate, as more than half the nations probably involved in this are boycotting this peace conference. They're just being damn foolish and angsty about the whole situation, as they could at least pop in and state they don't care.

You do realize that you dont have to role play with Feline Catfish right? No one does. All you have to do is ignore everything they do and they cant hurt you. Its not a free form rp for nothing.

Seriously, let FC be. He's done well for the position he's been put in. He got AMF on his side, and managed to hold off a LOT of 04s, 03s, and 05s. Let him have his nukes.

On another note, I'd like to RP him in a small-scale nuclear war for the heck of it. It could be a "fake" RP (meaning neither side really takes damage except inside the RP. No results of the RP impact your nation outside of that RP) This would be fun ^_^

Laskon would like to ask how such a barbaric ruler came into power in Dumpsterdam, but quite obviously the entire nation is a giant dump, hence its name. Obviously their primitive means of communicating with other nations means they only solve problems through violence, as Laskon has never stated it wishes to attack FC, we've only attempted to help the situation.
