The Kingdom of HailandKill is looking for a nation to help us build up a sizable, formidable armed forces. We are willing to work with anyone, and wish to purchase specific item/weapons/vehicles. We are willing to pay money to any nation who helps us with this task. We have decided not to go to a storefront because we would like custom deals/packages. OOC: I am new to NS RP and the thing is i am looking for MT but am not sure on how differnt MTs compare. Theres armament now that i realy like but am not sure how it would stack up against other techs. E.G. M-1 Abrams BattleTank, SSN-73 Seawolf class submarine.

If you are talking Modern weapons heres what i would want:
(Then again i have to see whats on the market bcuz dont want shitty weapons, also wanna see how these stack up)

M-1 Abrams Tank
Bradley M-4 Fighting Vehicle

Navy
Nimitz Class carriers
Seawolf Class Submarines

OOC: What is it with everybody and the XM- 8 (which, if in service, is the M-8 btw)?

We would be able to supply the Army and Airforce systems as listed and should you wish provide a few alternates to the listed systems.

HailandKill: askign questions is a good thing.
In terms of what people clasify as Modern tech it varies, soem pople like to stick to "only if it is in full sclae use right this minute" which while making thigns easier, pretty much rules out a vast number of Rl projects and dvelopements (ie it rules out the F/A-22, Eurofighter, MiG-29K etc), other people use a "right now plus in servcie by 2010/2015" which opens up all the current RL aquistion programs plus opens the way for perhaps using thigns that are only at an experiemntal stage a tthe moment ie ETC guns, RAMJET and SCRAMJET missiles etc.
based on my experience msot people go for the second option.

To perhaps comment on your stated unit prefferences:
Army
H+K XM8 Assault rifle: A Nice lookign rifle that on paper should be superb, soem migth say that the use of 5.56mm NATO ammo makes it substandard for NS but thats a personal thing, yes there are intermediate rounds in existance that seem to offer huge advantages in the end the difference is negiable.
M-1 Abrams Tank: Tanks are perhaps the major area where NS has gone far beyond RL tech, whith a good dozen or more high quality designs that are far mroe advanced, of particualr note is the use of guns using either ETC (electro thermal chemical) propellants or magnum charges (ie a 75mm gun that uses 120mm propellant), armor and defensive systems are also a fair bit ahead.
Bradley M-4 Fighting Vehicle: Even in RL the Bradley is falling a bit behind (the british warrior IFV is gettign a new 40mm gun this year), most people who have advanced tanks tend to have some what advanced IFVs aswell, but they tend not to be as far ahead as MBTs.

Navy
Nimitz Class carriers: pretty much the NS standard carrier, numerous people do use customs but beyond a few sensor and weaposn tweaks they aren't earth shatteringly different
Seawolf Class Submarines: again a pretty standard NS unit, more advanced subs do exist on NS but msot of that tends to be in weapons
Ticoderoga class Destroyers: A soem what controversial boat in RL (the US call it a criuser most people think is just a destroyer) and totally out dated in NS terms where the BIG gun has made a come back and people have started to armor even thier escorts. The TicoDeroga woudls till eb some what sueful as an escort but you would need to cosnider soem much larger warships for it work with.
F/A 18 Hornet: Upgraded the the very latest version fo the F/A-18E it woudls till be useful but not blindlig so with the vast array of naval stealthy fighters (think F-35JSFs, navalised F-22s etc), many people would tell you that the F-14 is still a superior aircraft hence why you see quite a few modernised F-14s

Air Force
F/A 22 Raptor: top of the game in RL but middle of the road in NS, still it remains a solid choice but soem woudl argue that a more manouverable EF typhoon or a SU-27 family style aircraft woudl be prefferable.
F/A 15 Eagle: If you ahve the F/A-22 then the only F-15 you need is the F-15E Strike eagle which should remain a useful bomb truck for the forseable future, soem might say use the F-15C as a cheap alternative to the F-22 but then thats what your F-16s and F-35s are for.

the way i figure i now is that i should probably buy someone else stuff and learn from that, also try and come upw with my own ideas. btw what aere teh rules for making your won weaponry up? and what is the best storefront?
