After not having participated in international affairs and basically living in a shell for hundreds of years our beautiful country is now ready to meddle with the other nations of the world.

Our neighbouring countries will probably know us already as a passive nation, however do not underestimate us. Almost 75% of the inhabitants are in military service, and massive government spendings are being invested in new military technology, with a few successes so far: To my knowledge, we are the only nation in the world which uses laser technology in most of its weaponry. However, you must take in view that we live in a modern-aged country, and know nothing about star travelling and outer space colonies.

We, as a nation, are looking to establish international contacts throughout the entire world. I have personally arranged a set of embassies to be built on a fine, urban location in the capital city of Verara. If anyone is interested, that is.

A note though: 75% of your nation in the military would kill your economy and leave you with a under-trained, under-equipped force that wouldn't be very hard to defeat. At most, 5%. And only during war time. It's a much better idea to have a few well-trained and well-equipped force then a unorganized mob.

With 75% I meant passive military service (as opposed to active). They will only become active when a large-scale war breaks out. At normal, only 3-4% of the population is in active service.

IC: Thank you for your letter, mr. Dreth. I will gladly accept your offers, I believe this is the right course of action for both of us. You will receive more information shortly, as it is time for my daily training right now. Even as the country's leader one has to stay fit!
