Mini Miehm has officially declared war on the nation of Feline Catfish as a result of the fact that they are invading international waters, amassing weapons of mass destruction and have shown a willingness to use them, we feel that they are a danger to themselves and the world and must be stopped from doing irreperable harm to the world. To this effort the CMN eighth fleet has been recalled from neutral space and will be interdicting all traffic with this rogue nation, in addition, the Wet Navies first carrier group has been sent to patrol the international waters illegally claimed by Feline Catfish, in order to protect the ships of other nations within that area and our own ships. Eighth Fleet will begin a kinetic bombardment of Feline Catfish unless they stand down, cease stockpiling nuclear weapons, and reduce their territorial waters to a reasonable level, one which does not infringe on accepted ranges for territory held of the coast of a soviergn nation.

He has made statements to the affect that he is stockpiling a large nuclear arsenal, and he has wexpanded his territorial waters to an unaexceptable 200 nautical miles from his coast line, no nation needs a territory that large off of their coast, 20 to 50 miles is plenty, and to top it off he has threatened any ships within this area with destruction. His territory requires merchant ships to go many hundreds of miles out of the way to avoid destruction, and that is unacceptable.

So how exactly does one go about invading international waters? I know Feline Catfish is trying to expand its territorial waters, but you cannot invade something that no one owns.

And anyway, if you attack FC you will more than likely get crushed by AMF. So...godd luck with that.

OOC: if no one owns it, then FC can't own it either, since he says he does, he has placed himself in a position of infringing on free trade and invading territory that does not belong to him.

OOC: LOL. Who said my weapons weren't of high quality? I ICly purchased THE LARGEST weapons supplier in NationStates (The Resi Corporation), and I've been in the weapons game for a long time now. Just my HOUND V2 alone could more than handle most of what you could throw at me.

I suggest not, and that we should turn both nations into no-mans-lands filled with barbed wire and booby traps, creating a quagmire and one hell of a battle.

OOC: Almost a year ago. Resi is an exlusive provider to the AMF military, and makes exclusive weapons for us. In return, we profit from Resi's outside sales and also pour funding into the entire Corporation.

Confusing yes, godmod, no, it's mostly an effect of budgetary constraints.

This threat is too much. FC and AMF have WMD's of massive power, while MM has a smaller aresenal of higher quality weapons. Ricconiaa fears that if one weapons is activated/launched/detonated that millions of people would die and the effects could be devastating. The Allied States of Ricconiaa would like to suggest that both sides stand-down and the FC withdraws from international waters nearby to MM's territory. Even though ASR is a small nation it wishes to keep peace and prevent a terrible disaster which would kill many innocent people from both sides. Although the ASR would like to stay neutral, it offers support to MM if needed.

I say we activate missile shields (starwars missile defence systems, et cetera) and kill every nuke that hits the sky. Let MM and FC duke it out in a ground battle, no help, just them on their own.

If they will remove themselves from international waters, period, then and only then will we stand down, the sticking point is that FC has pursued an agressive nuclear policy and I feel that he is athreat to global security(OOC: my god, I sound like dubyah...)I believe he needs to reconsider his extremist policies concerning his nuclear arsenal.

As you will, in that case I'm willing to remove my fleets from the equation and make it a true fight.

Umm, FYI, you have 7 million people in your nation. If you're extremely lucky, you can get away with 10% of your population in the army, but in modern warfare, you're gonna want your troops to be about 2.5% of your population MAX. Then you can train them uber, and equip them quite well. Now, I personally think that a 2-5% limit is fine, as the US had some serious percentiles during WW2.

Total Americans who served in WWII: 16,354,000 in all services.
That's about 12.5%

Keep in mind this is during wartime though, with a draft in full swing, and was over a period of five to six years.

I Believe we can't find a resonable outcome to this except war. I believe that the Mini nation is the victim, and My country and my allies in the South Confederacy will join them. My country is capable of giving much military support to any country that asks for help in sustaining what is there's from any other nation who wishes to be a "bully" there way to what they want. War is the only option!!
