OOC: I've been toying around with a fun idea for a few days now, and I'll run it past I.I, seeing as this is where I devote my RP time.

I would like to do a fun question and answer session where players of I.I will have the opportunity to ask me questions about anything NS related, but instead of my answers being posted on the forum I will videotape it. I have professional editing equipment (went to college briefly to become a film maker...didn't work out) and should be able to put something together in a few days. I have to get a new cord for my camera to route it to my media converter (cats chewed it) and I will also need to find someone who can host the video for me.

If anyone is interested in taking part in this, let me know. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

However, I have a technical question for you. Some of us have 56k dialup modem connections, and downloading or viewing movies is crappy on 56k dialup modem. Any idea or plans on how to resolve this?

I totally would, AMF, but.. given the vast userbase that NationStates / International Incidents has... I don't think I want my server to go bye bye because of a flockage to see AMF answer his questions. Sorry dude.. maybe ask me when I'm high sometime :-p

You could prolly host it from some forums. Upload it and have people take it off there... or use a freewebs site?

Look here, this is a fun idea that I thought up for the sole purpose of entertainment, this is NOT an ego boost. Why is it whenever I try something creative and fun that it's always deemed an 'ego boost' or something 'for attention'? Get over it, and more importantly, get over yourself. I'm not in this for the ego, I'm in it for fun.

OOC: Depends. I want to keep it no more than a few minutes, and I can save on either a high quality MPEG4 or a low quality MPEG. I'll let you know once it's shot and exported.

Yeah, but a two minute long mpeg, depending on quality, can be 4mb+ , and if you imagine.. 4mb of video streaming out to, say.. a hundred people.. at the minimum.. that's a lot. my guess a lot more would be watching it than that. Invisionfree would disable it very fast.
