Today, the People's Commissariat for Science announced that, due to the Premier's call for space exploration, the PCS has begun a project that, in a matter of months, will give New Dornalia a steppingstone into space itself.
"For too long, humanity has been denied access to the greater depths of space. The People, by virtue of atomic hlocaust, have been forced to survive at the mercy of imperialist Barbarians. However, that time is over. Our recent contacts with alien civilizations have spurred our determination to explore the dpeths of space, and claim them in the name of the Workers' Paradise.
We shall begin construction of a new space station, called the Che Guevara Station. (http://www.energia.ru/english/energia/mir/im/mir-scheme.gif) Such a Hero of Socialism, who encouraged revolution, deserves such an honor, as we follow in his revolutionary footsteps.
Beginning now, as we do not have access to much in the way of sophisticated tools of space travel besides some initial purchases, we shall use a series of Long March rockets to propel the needed supplies into space using Soyuz capsules. We expect this project to be built over a period of six months to a year, working at a constant pace.
These beginnings are humble, to be sure. However, this is only the beginning. Rest assuredly.....the Galaxy will be Red."
