From the Void [Return of a Sith Faction] [OPEN]

The Wandering Sith

Sliding past a barren world at the edge of the galaxy, a ship cruised silently through space.

<My Lord... it has been months. No one is hunting us. Not anymore.>

"I know, Auorus. We are returning to the galaxy. With this hidden planet, we can have a sanctuary while still remaining invisable to the Masters of the Order. To them we will be as nomads. Allways on the move in the galaxy."

<I shall summon the others?>

"Yes."

Over the next week, all the Sith Masters came to rendeavous in orbit of the nearly dead world. Soon, they began to land on it's barren surface, where Barberous was waiting in ancient ruins of some long forgotton species' civilization.

"It is good to see you all survived the flight from Kashyyyk. We will restart the academy here. We will rebuild here. But we shall not let anyone else know where here is. Not other Sith, not the Jedi, not Imperials, not the Republic. Not even those in our own ranks below Dark Jedi Master. This place is so lost to time that it's death predates the Old Republic. Being so far removed from the Core, it would require nearly all the Jedi combined meditating to find it." A pause and he looks over the others again.

One spoke. "What shall we call this place, Barberous?"

Aurous spoke for his Master, speaking the word in Basic. "Discord."

------------

From Discord, the Sith spread again. Only a few though... some of the best. Beryl, the Elite and Amara, the Elf, departed in a Sith Prowler, one of the handful of new ships that the Sith had constructed by the Hutts.

Fast, well armed and armored and most valuable, able to change course in Hyperspace. Not to the degree that you could turn around, but enough that you could jump for one system and arrive in another without dropping out and rejumping.

They were headed for the Core, planning on causing a little trouble in the outskirts of it.

The Prowler exited the conduit and re-entered realspace, then immediatly dove and accelerated. >Blasted cargo ship! Trying to kill us?!< Beryl shouted, bringing the dark crimson ship uunder the blocky cargo ship. Straight into the line of fire from a pirate frigate.

The smaller ship rocked as turbolasers slammed into it's hull, blowing out one of the cargo bays(luckily it was mostly empty) and frying the starboard ion cannon. The deflectors went up automatically and the ship veered out of the incoming fire, then came around.

Amaralooked into the scope and fired several times, the twin turbo lasers and remaining ion cannon blasting away, with a couple torpedos for good measure. It didn't do much good though... the frigate was well maintained and took the hits in stride. "Weapons aren't going to work. Get me in close."

Diving in and out of fire, venting coolent, air and water, the Prowler weaved in and out of the fire as only a force attuned pilot could and soon they were in a blindspot on the spine of the ship, a hundred meters from the bridge. "How about a little fear?" >How about a lot?<

The two agreed on what to fool the bridge crew into thinking. To them, an Imperial Star Destroyer exited hyperspace and made it's slow, ponderous turn to bring it's bow guns to bear. It only took about ten seconds of that for the pirates to panic and blind jump to get away, leaving a wounded cargo ship, a wounded Prowler and two very amused Sith.

"We need to get to a port. I can't shut down this slow coolent leak in flight, let alone repair the bay..."

-------

Within an hour, they exited hyperspace again, having left the cargo ship crippled, for whoever came next to pillage it. Approaching the nearest world(Coreworlds, your choice. Anything in the outer edge of the core is fine), they followed instructions and landed at an out of the way pad.

Both exited with some equipment and started to look over the damage, drawing a small crowd. Apparently Elites were rather rare in the galaxy. Especially with a human copilot. >We can't repair this. we don't carry spare cargo bays.<

Even more sith.... We need to form an alliance of some sort. The more sith that are on the same side, the better for us I say :). Technicaly speaking, I'm not sith. I'm another faction formed by sith teachings but hold their own beleifs called the Kirtir.

OOC: Barberous isn't the 'alliance' type of Sith Lord. He's mroe of 'sit back and plot while the rest kill each other and get wasted by the Jedi. That makes him more dangerous. The fact that he doesn't let his lust for power and teh darkside overide his common sense makes him more formidable, when confronted. I based his character on the Evil Overlord list, as it holds many good guidelines.

Beyrl continued to work on closing off the leaks, the maintence staff for the bay watching the Elite closely as he worked. He didn't care what the demons thought. They'd all pay one day.

Amara, meanwhile, was at the flight center. "We need clearence to move our ship to an overhaul facility to repair the damage the pirates did." She told the droid on duty. She was drawing looks too. Wearing her training jumpsuit, her lightsaber was hanging from her belt for all to see. "And I need it now."

I shall see what I can do, Master Jed-

"Don't... call me that." She hisses at the protocal unit, which scurried away to get the clearence she asked for. Looking at the aliens and humans around her. "You get a lot of work done staring at people? Maybe I should inform your supervisors..." Which got them to scurry back to their work stations...

----------

Beyrl stepped around the ship to get on the loading ramp as Amara entered the bay. >You get the clearence?< "Yes." >Good. I don't want to stay here long. Someone will get wind of this and that doesn't bode well.<

The two re-entered the ship and flew to the overhaul center, where small droids swarmed the damaged area of the ship, analyzing and beggining repairs as the two Sith observed from a few dozen feet away.

-------

Overhead, a camera recorded both, keeping tabs on the Elite and saber wielder, sending copies of the images to several police organizations for analysis. They obviously weren't Jedi, but independant saber wielders weren't unheard of. But saber weilders traveling with Elites? Probably only one precedent. Barberous and Aurous.

Jedi Academy, Jurai

Taylor and Jacob Masaki meditated in the Force as instructed by their grandfather. As twins, they intwined their senses and became as one, reaching out into the distant stars better than either one could do alone.

Soon enough, they began to sense something familiar.

Hey, brother, do you sense it? Jacob asked.

Yeah. They're back. I think we need to bring it up with Gramps. Taylor replied.

You're right. Let's go.

They brought themselves out of the trance and into reality, then headed to their grandfather's office, which as usual was a collection of many types of swords from all over the galaxy, many salvaged from the carnage at Yavin.

"Grandfather. We've had a sense of a Dark Jedi we knew once. Remember back on Yavin when we took a girl to you?" Taylor asked.

"Yes, I do." Sadly enough, that girl was slain by Lady Nightshade in a particularly nasty duel in the Night of the Second Temple Raid.

"Well, I think we found her comrade, now probably a Dark Jedi." Jacob took over from her brother. "Do we have permission to pursue her and see what's going on with their Sith Lords now?"

"Hmm." It appears they'll soon need to take their Trials, as they're nearing their 16th birthday. Perhaps this could be it... "Very well. You will be taking the Twin Twister, I presume?"

The Twin Twister was a Skipray Blastboat given to the twins on their 15th birthday. They tend to use it to get around in the galaxy, giving it a couple of false names every so often, and it has the firepower and shielding to fight off a squadron of fighters if needed.

"Yeah, we will." Jacob nodded.

"Alright. You two have a go, and be careful." Grandfather admonished them. They nodded and headed out to pack up and head to the hangar bay.

Soon, they lifted off in their Blastboat and soared into hyperspace for Borleias, the planet they suspect the Dark Jedi was sent...

One of the droids came up to the two and bowed. You're ship will be repaired within twelve hours. There is great damage to your cargo bay and the structure of the ship has undergone large stresses. You may explore the city if you wish. We will send a contact droid when we are nearly finished.

THe looked at each other. They'd been ripped off before. Though they didn't think it likely this time, it was wise to be wary. But, after a moment, Amara spoke. "Allright. We'll be in town."

---------

Walking around the town, they got avoided by most people with sense in their heads. Soon, though, teh braver ones stopped looking and carried on with their day. The reaction in the local bar was what she expected. Shock from some, scowls from others, leers from more(all directed at her, not Beryl, of course) and complete dismissal by the drunks. Both took a seat in a back booth, speaking among themselves in Beryl's tounge. ">We have to get out of here soon. If I find those pirates...<" >Who cares about them? We have more to worry about. The galaxy is our playground, as it were. The Jedi are all gathered in a few pockets, reforming. The Sith have reign now.< ">We don't reign over anything except Discord.<"

"Which is a place you shouldn't speak of... even in his language." said voice from behind her. Dia Astar stood there, smirking at the two. "Heard a 'jedi' was about." The bounty hunter said, sliding into a seat by Beryl. "So what are you doing here?"

>We had to put down. We jumped right into a priate raid and got nailed.< He said, seeming annoyed.

"You still working for Crimson, Gia?" Seeing a nod, Amara went on. "Good. We need a few allies while we're here. By the way, Vladimir is doing well. He's passed most of his........"

So the conversation droned on. Speaking in vaugeries of things the three knew about, drawing a bit more attention than they should have.

The Blastboat descended through the atmosphere, looking innocent. The twins didn't chose their usual clothes today but went for more standard fare, like bomber jackets, brown shirt and pants, etc. Their lightsabers were concealed in an inside pocket, but their blasters on their waist holsters and shuriken/kunai holster above their knees were clearly shown.

Amara last remembered the Twins as young boys taking hikes in the Yavin jungles. Now, they're almost Jedi Knights. Taylor has grown to be a powerful pyro and cryokinetic, throwing fireballs and iceballs to burn or freeze foes. Jacob on the other hand, was now an accomplished alchemist, as well as having the ability manipulate light itself, usually 'shooting' blue bolts of light from his finger like it was an actual blaster bolt.

As per their personality, Taylor is a Form IV and V user, much like Anakin Skywalker a long time ago, but he's obviously more tempered. Jacob tends to be more stoic, using III almost exclusively and only pulling out IV if he's overwhelmed by enemies. Attack and defense. The twins compliment each other better than most Master/Padawan teams ever could. The only ones who could match them when together would be Kenobi/Skywalker, but that was because they were legends.

They would take the current name of Dak Medna (Taylor) and Hans Schimer (Jacob, who blackened his hair), two bounty hunters not currently looking for a job or trouble. They landed in a far docking bay and chirp-chirp went the alarm as they went out.

"What next?" "Dak" asked.

"We take a look around." "Hans" replied.

"Yeah, should find something interesting around here..." "Dak" nodded, and the two headed towards a cantina to get some drinks. And information.

The three continued to talk in their out of the way booth, before Dia finally stood and walked to the bar, "Three Elaran Ales." Which got a blink of suprise from the bartender. Not often he got asked for the strongest drink in the known universe. Not many could afford it either.

Walking back, she passed the twins without even looking at them or caring who they were. The black woman had enough of a reputation to bring employers to her, rather than the other way around.

Amaratook a drink of the ale and looked at Beryl, who looked back and nodded allmost unnoticably. They felt the ripples from the twins, but couldn't tell who was the cause or if they were a concern, yet. Dia had her own abilities with the force, but resisted all training, so the true potential sat dormant, manifesting in her skills as a pilot.

As Amara set her mug down, the elf sighed. "Crimson says that we're doing better than he expected. While the rest of the shadows kill each other off and wight the light, we're consolidating."

"Well, that's fine for you two... but he's not giving me any work lately. Had to go and deal with a Hutt. Bastards, all of them. The females doubly so." She muttered, oblivious to the fact anything was amiss.

"Hey, I think I sense her." Taylor said, glancing around with his eyes.

"Mmhmm. It's been a couple years, but I'd know that signature anywhere." Jacob replied. "Looks like she has a friend with her."

"An Elite, looks like."

"Yeah. Didn't Daniel say he fought an Elite way back when?"

"He did, looks like they're teaming up."

"Yeah. What's next, you think?"

"We wait."

"Fine." Taylor ordered a cider drink and was soon served. The twins would watch and wait...

Beryl grumbled something at Amara, who nodded slowly. Dia seemed lost. "What's wrong?"

>If you were Force trained, you'd know... we have visitors. Ones who are trained.<

She scanned the room. ">Jedi or other Sith?<"

>It doesn't matter. Both are Demons.< he answered, without even realizing he had not said 'enemy'. The two women ignored it, knowing what he meant. >We need to find out who they are.<

">How?<" Amara asked, looking very displeased at the moment. She didn't like all this cloak and dagger BS. She wanted to get off this rock.

Dia, though, made that harder. She stood up and shouted. "Hey! Which one of you drunk bastards has a lightsaber?!"

The two Sith stared at her as if she'd turned into an Ewok before their eyes.

Is she crazy? Taylor asked incredulously.

More like ditzy. Jacob replied with a sweatdrop.

Incredibly, one of the really drunk patrons and a couple equally as drunk pals got up. The fool picked up a cue stick, swinging it about. "I got me a lightsaber, missy! Care to try me?"

All the more sober patrons had sweatdrops running down the back of their heads in annoyance.

Dia didn't miss a beat in taking a much more dagerous vibroblade from her belt. "Put that down or you'll lose both your sabers." she said in a tone that meant she'd do it without a second's thought.

Once the drunk had backed down, she looked around. "Well? Which one-ack!" she got ineruppted as Beryl, pulled her arm with enough force to make it shout in pain. >You know... it's hard enough to keep a low profile without your help. Why don't you go find some control tower to buzz?< he snarled. While no one but the three of them knew what was said, the way he said it got the message across that he was not pleased. But, if they were too drunk to catch it, he made it even more clear.

Beryl gave Dia a shove in the other direction, which sent her over onto her back and skidding across the floor until she hit the wall, cursing in a few languages. Both he and Amara went back to their drinks as if nothing had happened, as Dia pulled herself up.

The drunken men looked on in confusion at the alteration, and promptly forgot about them being "Jedi". The men went back to whatever they were doing before, which was chatting and playing sabacc.

So, now we know who they are. Taylor sent to his brother.

Yep. We'll have to confront them later, but not now.

Yeah.

"Cider, please! Another one for my associate." Jacob called to the bartender, who promptly gave them the drinks.

Dia rubbed her arm, but didn't decide to try the patience of an allready perturbed Elite Sith. She went to the bar, right near the twins. "Cider? Where the hell are you two from?" She asked. Hey, what she didn't have in brains, she made up for with sheer force of will and force of... uh... The Force.

The two Sith were talking much quieter, trying to figure out what they should do. Some of the options included throwing about six Thermal Detonators and running like hell. Others were much less destructive.

"Around." Jacob said dryly. He's not interested in her, that's for sure.

His twin brother just sipped his drink.

OOC: I hope you don't mind if I jump in, do you?

IC:
-Korriban, Unknown Tomb.

Narthaus stepped through the tomb slowly, observing the walls, floors and anything else that was of importance. His blue lightsaber he weilded with his right hand, he held it above his brow, the light that came from it illuminated the path in front him.... He carefully watched his step. His other lightsaber was in its hilt on his hip. His sight was carefully augmented with the force.

He noticed something, the wall to his left was thin, there was a room waiting on its other side. He realized this as he set his right foot down. As it touched the ground, it snapped back up in an arcing wheel kick. A small chunk of stone slipped into the other room. He took his lightsaber and stuck in in the whole in the wall, using the force to bend it every which way to examine the room. He then stepped back and pused the wall down with the force. He stepped into the room. He glanced around, making observations to identify the room... he then identified some interesting heiroglyphics on the wall. He read them. It talked about another planet the sith had used long ago.

Narthaus thought to himself, "Theres probably some interesting Sith techniques and ideas there.... It would be good training for Daniel... He looked at himself quizically through some strange manipulation of the force at the realization that Daniel was, "not in this life".
I've been alone for too long.... Narthaus said to himself. But, there are others.... He said as he searched the Universe for the Masaki twins with the force.
I hope they remember me... He said.

With that he took his blue lightsaber and used its searing blade to scratch out the coordinates of the old planet. He raised his hand high and the force shot out from it into the wall infront of him. A open hole to the surface stood where there was once a wall. He stepped out into the sunlight and stuck his armored hand out of the sleeve of his robe, he struck a panel and called for his ship to descend down and recieve him, and then... Off to find the twins...

The Sith, however, were getting up. The bar went silent as Beryl grabbed a waiter that was in the way and sat him on a table, right on a Trandoshan's lunch. The lizard didn't say anything though as the two made their way towards the door, speaking softly in that gutteral language he used.
