An attractive blond woman made her way towards the podium in the center of the large auditorium chamber, where several dozen reporters, diplomats, and Directors were milling around. The woman took her place behind the podium with the Sharina national logo emblazoned on its front, amid numerous flashes of light. She raised her hands to silence the murmurs and chatter of the crowd, before speaking in a determined tone of voice.
"Greetings, all.
I am here before you, as President Mina Veristek.
I have called this press conference, in hopes that other nations will be able to hear and heed Sharina's announcement.
It has come to my attention that many large and militarily powerful nations has declared a coalition to engage in forceful diplomacy and most likely military action aganist the nation of Feline Catfish.
This is a completely despeciable act, so full of hypocrisy that you could stir it with a fork. Nations with militaries in excess of millions of soldiers, populations of the billions, thousands of warships and attack aircraft, and weapons of mass destruction are apparently hell-bent on dominating Feline Catfish, a newly formed nation.
Nations that have professed support for national sovereignty have turned a blind eye to Feline Catfish's national sovereignty being grossly violated. Hypocrisy, I tell you!
I can find no fault in Feline Catfish employing nuclear weapons or a 100 nautical mile territorial waters aganist such oppressive and hypocritical nations. How can a nation of only 10 - 15 million people defend aganist a coalition or even a single nation that can field a combat army equal or greater than Feline Catfish's entire population? This is way beyond overkill!
Feline Catfish needs friends, not enemies. Sharina is prepared to support Feline Catfish as a much needed friend. Sharina will protect Feline Catfish, and will do so even if it means Sharina will face the multi-million man armies, thousands of warships, tens of thousands of air fighters and bombers, and possible space weaponary.
However, Sharina will not fall without an extreme fight. Sharina is a fortress of righteousness, justice, and honor that shall stand strong aganist the hordes of hypocrites, sycphoants, and backstabbers. Sharina shall prevail!"
President Mina Veristek stepped down from the podium, amid a subdued silence. Shortly after she departed, applause started up slowly, and built into a thunderous cheer of approval.
