Finally, finally word had been leaked to the outside that The Destroyer had made up his mind on the situation. The masses outside the Great Hall swelled into the thousands, and each and every Freek present was all ears for Damien's announcement. The curtains were then pulled back, and stepping out slowly like a great shadow came the mighty Warlord...and as his massive figure dominated the doorway the crowd exploded in applause.

The Destroyer let the crowd work themselves up a minute or two, only to silence them in an instant with a simple raise of his hand. He did not have a written speech nor teleprompter, but instead he spoke from his heart and from his mind.

It has come to my attention that a nation calling themselves 'Feline Catfish' has been in quite a spot lately. Having sought nuclear weapons to defend their national wellbeing, they were forced into unspeakable action early on in order to deter the aggressors...to which the Feline government stated that they would not use them unless provoked. We all know how that turned out.

I am sickened to see how the international community has handled this. The Feline government chose to expand their territorial waters, and they are now under further fire. I believe that the Feline government is not at fault here, but instead those who have flocked to the cowards banner. Beating up a small and defenseless nation that did nothing to deserve what you are dishing out? Very bad form I must say...and I say to you now that I vow to quash this mindset that is spreading.

So, I, Lord Damien the Destroyer hervy pledge my FULL military support to Feline Catfish. Their right to live will not be taken away by those who seek to destroy them. They should not need to seek nuclear weapons for fear of destruction, and the Wrath and Might that is Automagfreek will accept the challenge of ensuring that these heathens do not succeed with this unjust attack.

Those who mobilize against Feline Catfish, turn back now, or prepare to face the long dark silence that awaits you. The Sentinels stir and thirst for warm flesh, and I will not deny them their spoils. Those that do not cease and desist shall see their own lands engulfed in flames, and they will see their streets littered with the rotting dead.

I'm am not going to sit back and watch a new player who is making an honest attempt to RP get gang raped. I'm sorry if you don't see the problem in this, but if these 15+ nations feel that they can take on Feline Catfish, whos population is like 10 million, why can't they mess with someone bigger?

Greater Valia, and Isselmere, how would YOU like it if you were being the ones picked on and dogpiled on for attempting to defend yourself? What if you were suddenly a 10 million nation again?

You would want some defense aganist large warmonger nations or other types of "bully" nations. You cannot do so with limited manpower with a 10 million total population. Thus, you would need powerful weapons to make up for the deficiency in manpower, lest your 10 million nation be obliterated during first few weeks of RP here at NS thanks to NS nation "Bully's". The only powerful weapons in MT RP's that would give massive invasions a pause would be biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons.

It happened that Feline Catfish had the balls and guts to go for nuclear weapons to DEFEND himself aganist the "bully" NS nations. It would be similiar to a little 8 year old boy weighing only 80 pounds getting a metal baseball bat to ward off 12 year old bullies weighing in at 150 pounds, so that the 8 year old boy will not be hurt.

Put yourselves in Feline Catfish's shoes and ponder on that for a moment.


Also, Feline Catfish did not act n00bish with "OMG! I nukk0rz j00!!!1111!!!" that 99% of newbies who use nukes end up doing. Feline put in the effort to RP properly and reasonably. The officer on duty, Sub-Commander Vincent Morgan, rushed over to the station, and peered over the Analyst’s shoulder.

Sure enough, the wire-frame globe slowly rotating around on the holographic display was covered in blinking red dots. Sections of flat screen monitors were flashing up bits of recorded satellite telemetry. Naval ships departing port, massive amounts of troops and armor being deployed, and loaded into naval transports and military transport planes. Entire armies were on the move.

Morgan crossed himself, as he took a swig from his flask.

“Christ, get The Director-General in here now. I want this traced, find out what’s going on, get on the horn with the ISA, HSB NSF and any other intelligence agency we can pull surveillance from. Get on the horn with the Supreme Commander, and raise our alert status to yellow. Prepare for possible ballistic and aircraft interceptions. Get this on the main holo-globe, I want to see this being tracked in real time, compile me a list of ships being dispatched, ordered by threat level of the host nation, try and get names using the satellite images correlated to our know intelligence. I don’t want anyone to lift a finger without us knowing.”

The Analysts and Intelligence officers moved to comply with their nearly-impossible orders.

It seems a fleet from an undetermined nation entered the area, and was destroyed by a nuclear barrage launched by FC. We have recordings of the attack, but the computer listed them as “low to no” propriety. Also, we’ve just received this via the news networks.”

The staff stood and listened to Damien’s speech.

“It seems someone has kicked the beehive here.” Muttered Davis.

“Agreed sir.”

I must agree with the Lord on this matter. The sovereignty of a nation to make its own decisions, for better or for worse, must always be respected. Any would-be imperialists who think sovereignty is a trivial thing, and think that they can push around any small nation they wish for no good reason, deserves to have bombs dropped on their own capital.

It is good that a powerful nation finally took a stand against this international debacle -- although I for one was surprised to see just which nation it was. AMF has a mighty military machine and for this we respect them, despite having no formal relations. I would urge 'The Destroyer' to use his military to live up to his namesake in this instance, so that those nations involved in this persecution discover just how unpleasant 'bullying' can be.

Gorkon has internal problems at the moment that are, frankly, none of the world's business. So we are unable to pledge troops or supplies at this point. But you have our support in this matter regardless.

Having been physically defending Feline Catfish for some time now, Artitsa wishes to add its own weight behind the banner of the Destroyer. Therefore, the third through sixth (Four total) Expeditionary fleets will collect in Freek waters, while the Second fleet will remain in FC waters to prevent further aggressions.

Aust watches with amusment the nations that 'jump on the bandwagon', as soem say. it is strange that until Damien stepped int here was little support from anyone.

We assume that Automagfreek will have some sort of patronage over the nation of Feline Catfish, secret or otherwise, with some kind of say in their actions. If you look at the original writings of FC, in detail, you'll see all that has happened was the result of a larger nation crossing the line - Feline Catfish stated that if any hostile invasion or embargo was initated he'd use the weapons. It was a defensive policy.

All that has happened was resultant of that.

I am not Bandwagoning, and I've stated as such down the line.

I've always given support, and I ally myself with FC because in reality he is ultimately the victim and reacted accordingly.

If one warns someone not to do something or else it will incur this punishment, and then that someone does exactly what they were warned not to do, and one reacts accordingly, does this someonehave any right to claim foul play? No. They were warned, and it's their own faults.

IC: Interim Prime Minister Kert Tirrew slammed the door behind him, the the pictures of his kids rattiling in their frames. He stalked over to the open window, from which a cool breeze blew in the gentle air of the morning sea. He slammed it shut.

The aide behind him coughed gently, and Tirrew spun around.

"AMF!" he shouted slumping into his chair and all the anger leaving him in a flood of despair and sheer exhaustion.

I trust we can come to an understanding on this issue.

The Excessively Armed Empire does not care if you build nuclear weapons, however we wish to state that we do not want to see them used in an aggressive or first strike manner. I trust that your nation will be responsible with such weapons, and if this is a matter you are willing to be reasonable on, then you will continue to have the support of Automagfreek.

Become carless with them, and you lose that support.....and risk having it turned around at you. But I am confident it will not come to that.

We are pleased that Feline Catfish is willing to be cooperative and actively pursue peace, and we cannot express enough our disappointment in certain nations who have moved to strike them.

As we speak now Lord Dreadfire has activated several of his finest Warchiefs and is preparing to send them towards Feline Catsigh territory to protect their territorial claims...with force if necessary.

OOC: FWS brought that on himself by abusing my protection. He made several aggressive advances and used the threat of 'you can't attack me or AMF will kill you' to keep himself safe. So naturally in order to ICly preserve its name, AMF took care of the problem.

FWS = Fascist White States, an old sore and black spot on the I.I record…recounting his many…. adventures here would be rather uncalled for, and clutter AMF’s thread no end. Suffice to say, he was a blatant Godmoder, and flamer (I use that in the non-homosexual sense). He was deleted several times for various offenses, until he was perma-deated (permanently deleted) for going off the deep end. You may be able to look up old threads….I know I have some of them still, but I believe his name is now stricken from the forum.

I believe the reason this compression was made was that it does, slightly, coincide with the FWS happenings. Aside from the fact that you, Feline Catfish, don’t seem to be as god modish, or overly aggressive…nor anywhere near as…uninformed, as he was. (Take that as a complement, the way it was intended.)

The Burnsian Desert is still opposed and will continue to be opposed to the outrageous actions of Feline Catfish. The Excessively Armed Empire can't get you out of this one.

Any may be opposed to or have a dislike of a nation's stance. However, Vastiva has always maintained the idea of self-responsibility and self-reliance: you may choose any path you wish, you may do as you wish, however "your rights end where my nose begins", so to speak.

We see nothing wrong with what Feline Catfish has done, nor what it has proposed to do. We see much wrong with a set of nations attempting full-scale military action on a nation that much smaller, for no good reason involving their national interest. We could see action by the OMP as involving their interests, but none such has materialized - and, to be sure, stating "I want this water to blow things up in" is not that great a problem. Vastiva already uses deep-flow water filters in it's part the oceanic conveyer to remove toxins and radiation, and shall continue that policy as our part of "cleaning up the planet"; however, given the size and tectonic motion of this planet - with nations being obliterated without a trace daily - and the multiplanar nature of this world, we do not perceive a problem at this time.

Finally, while we are signatory to the UN for the moment, we would point out that where there is no international agreement, there is no international law.

So now the flames are fanned, as more nations enter the fray. Even the mighty Dreadfire has been drawn into this mess! If Damien himself has become involved, I suppose it is time Malkyer's stance was made official. Throughout this conflict of interests, the Empire of Malkyer has been opposed to the actions and leadership of Feline Catfish, though we have not resorted to the...rash actions of some of those who share our view.

In our eyes, the naiton of Feline Catfish has acted in a manner that is both arrogant beyond their station, and also one that blatantly invites violence. I quote thier king, George III: "[if we do not receive nuclear weapons]...then the world will know fear." It is my firm belief that everything that has befallen this nation is of its own making.

That said, I will continue Malkyer's stance of neutrality in this affair. I have no intention to move any forces against Feline Catfish. However, be it known to that nation and its sponsors that if any ally of Malkyer's is attacked with nuclear weapons, we will engage, and will not end the fight until Feline Catfish lies burned beneath the jackboots of the Royal Marines.

OOC: While Icly I dont use, and never will use any WMDs whether they be Nuclear, Chemical, or Biological, I did read the Feline Catfish thread where they demanded Nuclear weapons. And while I would rather not see anyone have or use WMDs I will say that Feline Catfish did make an honest attempt at a good role play. Its a helluva lot better than most other nations, n00bs and veterans do when they declare they have nuclear capabilities.

I am pledging my support to Feline Catfish OOCly, but since my nations stance with WMDs are the way they are, I am not pledging anything to anyside ICly.

And I have to say to everyone who has posted their support for Feline Catfish, AFTER AMF did, that you are no more honorable than those who stand against Feline Catfish. After carefully examining the evidence of the recent military standoffs regarding the Republic of Feline Catfish, the United Solaris Federation of Tiburon has decided to wholeheartedly support the Republic of Feline Catfish in its time of need. We hope that this proves to be the first step in a million-mile journey towards peace and alliance between the Republic and the United Solaris Federation.

Deep in The Mountain, the General reviewed the OPSIT board as von Rommel read the latest from this active front.

Before and after this announcement, we still remain neutral, but know that if Feline Catfish moves against Jenrak, no one will be able to take our country at all, no matter the size of their army, or the strnegth of their forces.
