"Dey've been slaves for foreva! How are dey s'posed ta do 'nythin else?" The speaker waved a pale hand in the air. Being one of the Frozen Claw clan he was naturaly very...white. The normal Goblin shades of green and...green only barely showed, "I tink dey're happy dis way anyhow. I ask a few O' dem meself, dey dont complain 'bout it, most O' em say dey dont wanna be free."
"Squee joo is stoopid as ever. Da Kobolds say dey don wanna be free 'cause dey're 'fraid joo'll cut dere furry little 'eads off for sometin'." The second speaker, identified as Krek, was of Blood Moon stock, shorter than Squee, but stockier, "We are da civi-liz-ed nashun now. We not 'sposed ta be havin' slaves. It is 'Not Done.", joo know what dat means."
"Deres lotta nations out dere wit slaves, deyre perfectly fi-"
"Nobody likes 'em! Lotsa people try ta attack 'em and dats da last ting we want now! Lookit our army, s'made of stuff dats older dan dis mountain and twice as rusty!"
"Shut up da both of joo!" King Krark stood and gestured angrily at both of the speakers, "Dis is not da time ta be talkin' bout dis. We're 'ere ta arrange da stoopid meeting, not kill each oder now!"
"'E started it. I was ju-"
"No! No arguein' now. Da Kobold fing is ta be dealt wit later. I have sent a message out now ta some people, humans mostly. Dey should be respondin' soon and den we can start talkin'!.
"But I don' see wh-"
"Quiet! Joo want ta talk 'bout sometin' you save it for da meeting!"
Embers fell from the massive torches hung on the sides of the Great Hall, Krark had a temper, and wasnt good with these new 'politicians', but having been King for a number of years he could at least boss people around well enough.

Re: Kobold Issue
Bdy:
Greetings esteemed leaders of the many nations of the world.
The Blood Moon Clan is in the middle of a controversy regarding what many see as a sub-Goblin species, the Kobolds.
Kobolds are similar to Goblins in a number of respects, with a few differnces as well. First thing is that they have iron-based blood (Goblins have a copper based system), fur and are blue. They are, however, rather stupid even when compared to a Goblin.
The issue is that, for many, many, many, years the Kobolds have been slaves in all but name, forced to work for the Goblins. There are a number of factions which support freeing the Kobolds and granting them a small land plot to establish their own nation/state. The other factions respond that it would collapse into civil war in no time, or would be taken over by warlords or something nasty.
We ask that the nations of the world send representatives to participate in the debate in the Great Council, which is a sort of combined parliment and cabinet, and assist the Clans in reaching an acceptable desecision for the current problem.
It should be noted that Goblin politics are somewhat...hazerdous. We will attempt to keep Council members from challenging forigners to death matches in regards to personal issues.

The Holy Imperial Empire of Belem would be interested in purchasing a small number of kobolds for examination and experimenation of their abilities and possibile uses in the Empire. We will of course pay what you would consider fair market value for the specimens.

If you could promise us that the experiments would not:
a. Kill the Kobolds
or
b. Cause excessive pain/harm to them
We will send you a few for free. We can also give you a list of nutritional requirements.
The shouldnt cost you much, Kobolds have relativly slow metabolisms compared to Goblins.
