In order to bolster our standing in the international community, and make ourselves known to the world, her majesty, Queen Latia, will send the frigate HMS Mystic to support the Neoma led fleet to force back Feline Catfish forces to a 20NM zone.

Leafanistan will send its fleet to the staging ground in international waters. You can also expect air support from long range bombers and fighters. Also satellite weaponry including the powerful Hand of God MASER system is available to make sure no nuclear weapons harass our ships.

They are mocking him because the abbriviation for nanometer and nautical mile are both nm.

Because of the current affairs that have been going on, I would like to join in your naval fleet action. Space Union will deploy the 1st-3rd Naval Fleets. We can also order our 1st-4th Air Armadas to provide air support. If more military action is needed we will increase the number of military personal involved.

In response to Feline Catfish's recent actions, Arckum is sending the third fleet 500 nautical miles outside of Catfish's claimed land. However the presence of the fleet is to provide medicinal aid to the Coalition and is not to attack unless struck first.

I hate to rain you your aprade guys but most natiosn do already have a 140km economic exclusion zone, granted its not the same as territorial waters but if you enter that he can legitimatly claim you are attacking his economy.

Of course this is somewhat hypocritical as how many of you woudl wait until an invasion fleet is at 100Nautical miles before striking?

Also putting your fleets within 20-50nm is sucidial, he simply doesn't need nukes to seriously bugger you at that range, best to sit back at 180nm and use decent weapons

Yes... I agree with Crookfur. Sailing a big huge unified fleet that close to his land is like painting a big huge "nuke me PLEASE" sign on your ships. The closer together they are, the more they get nuked, and I don't care how good your ABM is, some will get through.

And i am sure some will but we will use our nuclear Arsenal and annihilate key targets over his country

It is the position of the Imperial Praetonian Government that any action taken against Feline Catfish for no reason other than displeasure over territorial claims shall be opposed by the Imperial Praetonian Navy. We therefore request that you rescind your request for international aid in your 'conflict' and return to matters which are of immediate concern to your nation.

Whilst we accept that the 100NMi territorial claim is breaking with convention, we do not see how it affects your nations and so we shall move to prevent military action which will inevitably result in the launching of nuclear weapons and the loss of thousands of lives needlessly and for no immediate reason. We hope that you understand and respect our position, and will choose to cease further activity against Feline Catfish.

Some further clarification for those who have missed it, but Feline Catfish is now ignoring all of the other RP about him unless they are conducted in the proper complilation threads, a statement which is being backed by a moderator as they want to reduce the amount of threads this subject is getting when there it doesn't need twenty odd threads.

Here is the link, please check it out and concider moving you're RP on to this thread if it still involves Feline Catfish (if it's no longer about him and about the conflict with other nations protecting him then you can ignore this, but he won't accept any actions take against him unless they are in the right thread.)

The best explaination for this is that he's only one man and he can't keep up with all the developements of so many threads.

[General Iuthian Statement]

While we don't entirely agree with the Government of Praetonia on international 'convention' and other such notions of anything other then practicality limits on territorial claims, we do find oursleves agreeing strongly with their views on the wanton aggression of other nations against Feline Catfish.

Simply put, their territorial waters simply do not interfere with other nations claims nor do they affect trade in any way. As extreme as their claim is, the fact that it doesn't actually affect anyone is the real issue here... were it affecting other nations trade routes Iuthia would be the first to understand the reasoning for ignoring such a claim and the protection of merchant vessels through action, it would be in any nations interests to resolve such a conflict of waters. However in this case this nation has simply increased their waters to protect their nation... an increase which only affect them. To ignore that and sail in those waters is a direct provocation against this nation which threatens military action.

And what for? Because you don't agree that they should be able to claim such large waters? That this nation shouldn't be allowed to protect itself in the way they see fit, in a way which thus far isn't actually affecting trade routes or other nations territory? There is no real justification for military action against Feline Catfish... you don't need to stop this claim, it doesn't affect you. Yet people are prepared to threaten the lives of their countrymen and the innocent lives of the people of Feline Catfish over a claim which doesn't change anything.

There are many other nations who claim large amounts of water in the interests of properly protecting their nation, whether the claim is acknowledged depends on the nations who need to use the waters being claimed... in the end it comes down to who is prepared to defend water they feel they need, and in this case the only nation who feels they need this water is Feline Catfish.

So, in recognition of this and to properly display Iuthia's condemnation of those nations who feel they must threaten military action over something so minor, we will be offering support to Feline Catfish and other nations involved in order to help protect this nation from those who would force themselves on them for reasons I can only sumerise as wanting to bully a smaller nation into following 'convention'.
