OOC: Neither I nor Purple Snot Guzzlers have been playing long and this is our first war, if there are any NS veterans willing, please give advice and comments.

First off: Welcome to NS. There are three major types of talking within NS. OOC (Out Of Character), IC (In Character), and Secret IC (Secret In Character). Each one has it's specific purpose. OOC is for when your talking as yourself (Real life person). IC is for when your talking as your nations leader, or any character associated with your nation. Secret IC is for messages that only you and the recieving nation can see.

Secondly: It is a good idea to state the exact number of standing forces you have. Be sure to keep it below 3% of your nations population for realism purposes. A wide majority of the NS world uses Gross Domesitic Product calculators to figure out their budgets for military and other things.

Thirdly: Just try to have fun and don't take what most people say ICly personally. And watch out for those people who do have a short temper, they are not real common but you do run across them.

Fourthly: Some people have important information in their forum Signitures. I would suggest going into your Profile by clicking on "PROFILE" on the top part of the page. When you get there press "Edit Options", then scroll down the page and click the box next to "Show Signitures", "Show Avatars", and "Show Images".

WARNING: If your running anything slower than DSL or Cable i would suggest not to click on the "Show Images" as it might slow up your connection.

Also, for good help on military RPs, check out some of the many excellently-written help topics out there. I still find them useful! (Mostly 'cause I am dreadful at military RPs. Heh).
Also, it is a good thing not to use Nuclear Weapons unless you and the opponent having something planned, because they really kill the RP.
Just try to keep realistic with your armies and weapons and such.
Do everything like that and it should go fine. ;)
