I'm relatively new, and I was wondering if anyone wanted to RP with me. It would not be practice, so it would affect me. Basically I would like someone that is going to be patient, and is willing to answer my questions along the way, and tell me where I need work. I've read many stickies, and I started an RP. (It's a diplomatic convention in my capital, Norlanse.) So please post here if you're interested!

OOC: although technically my nation is much newer than yours, this is not my first nation and i would be happy to RP with you if your future tech.

Don't worry about annoying people....we've all been there. Everybody was a new nation at one point, and we all learned by doing RP. I would suggest as a start to seek embassies in other nations, form ties, and gradually join in open RPs as you see fit. If you need a critique, believe me, you'll get them.
May I start by offering you an embassy in our capitol of Xeraphia.

just a few rp tips; the most important things to do are DESCRIBE and INFORM
do your rps as transmissions/letters/converstions between two of your guys etc
the very thing to NEVER EVER EVER do is tell ANYONE what they are doing (i learnt that one the hard way)

Myrodor- No, I'm not future tech, so I don't think that would work.

Xeraph- I recently sort of failed at doing a diplomacy RP, search for a thread about a diplomatic convention in Norlanse. An embassy sounds good, but I was more interested in a big RP sort of thing to start me off.

Irish Free States- I'm not so experienced so I guess this was not a thread for you.

ooc: Or how about....no? This is a free form RP environment, and there is nothing anyone can really do to stop 'bigger' nations from interacting with 'smaller' nations. This is just something 'smaller' nations inevitably have to deal with until they've been here long enough to the point where they are no longer considered 'small'.

Don't want to RP with the 'bigger' nations? Fine, the only one missing out is you.

Welcome to NationStates. It's always good to see newbies actually trying to do something with the advice of older players. I hope you find your time here both entertaining and "productive" (e.g. writing style improves when playing this game.)

I would certainly recommend learning with AMF, he's part of the NS elite. However, although I am of slightly less caliber, I still say I’m pretty damn good. I would be more then glad to participate in this RP. I remember back in September of '03, my first RP was a diplomatic one. I guess that's not-so-instant-karma for you. Oh well.

Well, it seems to me like everyone is under the impression that this will be a many nation RP. I think it would be easier me if I start off RP'ing with just one nation. Any nations that are upset can contact me, and then later we could possibly do another RP. Personally, Autmagfreek is a big name even for a newbie like me, so sorry everyone else, I think I'd be interested ij doing an RP with him. But seriously, everyone else, contact me, and that can be my second RP.

Automagfreek, if you don't respond, I'll contact you. Unless you think its not too much trouble for me to start with a many nation RP.

A recommendation by me, as a friend and fellow THE dweller, I advise you follow the link in THe forum to my web page - its getting a special link especially for newbie RP'ers to learn the basics etc.

Experience is the best thing though - just type what you want and react accordingly and you'll pick it up in time.
