Invasion of Tyleri... (Semi-Closed FT ATTN: Tyleri)

OOC: Alright. I'm invading Tyleri for slaves, and resources. This is closed, but TG me and i can talk to Tyleri about it.

IC:

The Slaveraider "Hyperion" dropped out of atom-space directly behind the Tyleri freighter.

Arms. Destroy the engines.

Two phase torpedoes streaked out and slammed into the engines of the freighter disabling it completely.

The crew of the freighter looked up nervously as something slammed into the hull of the freighter. The burst blades, slashed through the hull and disgorged the Slaveguard into the ship.

As the Alanian forces boarded the ship, the crew of the freighter began to fight back. In the end, though the resistance was fierce, all of the crew were either stunned or killed.

The prisoners safely onboard, the Hyperion tech crew, extracted all information for the computer and wiped the memory of the survivors and computers onboard.

As the Hyperion pulled away, a new star sprang into excistence for a brief moment.....

~On Tru'Alan~

Lord Priest. We have located the Tyleri homeplanet. We are ready to deploy the fleet at any moment.

Lord Priest N'ala R'hab smiled and nodded his head.

Admiral. Go. Slay. Enslave. Alan keep you.....

Throughout TIRION HQ, alerts sounded. The satellites had picked up a distress signal from the newly commisioned deep space freighter Ringilot.

An unknown craft had disabled the ship with an unknown weapon, and boarded it with unknown soldiers for an unknown purpose. Apart from the unknowns, it was obvious that these people were hostile, and Tyleri did not want to be caught unawares.

SAMs & radar were booting up throughout the nation, the Air force had scrambled fighters, and the Army garrisons throughout the country had been brought to alert status. Nonessential personell were removed from the ODN stations via the Mithlond space elevator, and dozens of orbital defense stations were brought online.

When the alien fleet appeared in orbit over Tyleri, several missiles roared to the stars, supplementing the nukes and Mass Driver fire from the orbital defense stations. Despite the heavy barrage, the ships managed to return fire on several key points in the space over the Ard Galen district, with subsequent shots neutralizing its heaviest air defenses. Early reports, though unconfirmed, claimed that humanoid alien soldiers had materialized and were capturing Tyleri citizens and herding them like cattle.

The garrison commander of Ard Galen, Field Marshal Imrahil, called for reinforcements and readied his available forces to buy time until they arrived.

The Alanian Fleets prepared the ships for heavy orbital bombardment to disable any enemy crafts.

The Slave Guard had already begun their assimilation of enemy personall and were carrying on with the memory-wipes.

Lt. R'utugli. I want mass transit teleportation and all Slaveraiders prepped and launched. Our priority is slaves. If able to, I want slaves taken. Heinrich smiled as he watched the destruction on the screen.

A tall, blond haired man glidded into the bridge.

Heinrich. I will take Unit 21 down there and we will attempt to eliminate the current government.

Very well. You may go.

Lt. Comdr. Diego Bahr stalked of the bridge and into the Warcrusiers hanger where he and his "Unit 21" prepped weapons. Disruptor rifles, grenades and pistols were charged. Diego checked the energy sword at his waist.

He gave the order to move out to the Emperor's Palace...

OOC: You have an Emperor right? If not, i'll change it. Diego is a very sadistic nephew of the Lord Priest. Not nice, not friendly, won't hesitate to kill, yeah. Nice Guy.

If you want, I can capture your leaders to give you something to fight for, or kill them, take over, and fight a Vietnam type war. Y

You pick...............

Yes, the Empire is ruled by Emperor Neflonde III. But, as for sending a commando force to try and attack him...

Security in the Imperial palace had been escalated given the current situation.

Even in peacetime, the place was fortified and provisioned to withstand a siege from armies numbering in the millions. Now that the country was being attacked, the palace was absolutely innundated with soldiers.

So when the aliens teleported numerous groups of armed soldiers into the palace, the following firefight expended more firepower then a lesser army would expend in a year.

Lt.Cdr. Diego was clever enough to realize that fighting his way through all the guards, though an entertaining prospect, would take so long that his target would be able to evacuate. So he and his elite Unit 21 took advantage of the confusion their transporter technology could create. By beaming in several units of regular infantry to serve as cannon fodder, he and his elite commandos moved quickly, aiming to capture the Tyleri Emperor.

By relying on speed, he made it past the bulk of the guards.
Several die hards were still in the halls leading to the throne room, and they were surprisingly strong enough to give his men some trouble. Leaving them to deal with the guards, he came to the wide red double doors that intel said were the entrance to the throne room. When he got into the room, there was a middle aged man with brown hair and eyes, sitting on a stone throne with an expectant look on his face.

Diego leveled his weapon at the man. "Emperor Neflonde, I presume?"
The man said nothing, but nodded his head.

Diego continued. "I would just kill you now, but that would be boring." With each word, he took a slow step forward. "Should I rip out your fingernails? Boil your intestines?" Step. Step. "I can pull out your eyes, but leave the optic nerves attached. You'll see everything I'll do to you." Step. Step. "It's timeconsuming, but you're worth it. I must say, it's considerate of you, sending most of your guards away to fight elsewhere. Makes my job much easier." Step. Step. -CLICK- Diego's look changed from barely restrained sadistic glee to bewilderment. He looked down at his left foot, and noticed the marble tile had sunk a few centimeters beneath his foot.

For the first time, the Emperor spoke. "The floor is mined. They aren't active all the time... but you're worth it, I must say." He took care to mock Diego's exact tone of voice. "If you stay where you are, the mine won't explode." He pressed a button, and the decorative tapestries that lined the walls fell to the floor, revealing numerous gun barrels. Neflonde pressed another button and the guns opened fire.

Diego felt an explosion of pain in his right leg. He looked, and saw that most of his muscles on that leg were bleeding from the impact of the bullets. His right leg couldn't hold him up much longer, and if he fell back, his left leg would lessen the pressure on the mine...

Neflonde smiled when he saw the despair in his face. "My family has ruled this nation for over 6,000 years. Do you think a bunch of pathetic upstarts who rely on slaves, who are too soft to work themselves, will be anything more then a passing annoyance? I recommend you make piece with whatever diety you vile heathens worship." Neflonde turned around, and walked out of the room, leaving Diego to his fate.

I'm leaving him alone, so if you can think of something clever, he just may escape with his life.

OOC: My people have psychic powers. its on my site.

Diego looked at his leg and quietly thought about what to do.

"Unit 21, beam up to the flagship." Diego knew that if he beamed up, the explosion would scramble him, the moment he started to go.

He quietly concentrated his enormous psychic powers on disarming the fuse of the mine.

Come on. Just a little more.

The mine defused Diego ordered his beam up for medical attention.

OOC: Damn. Time for a little more orbital bombardment, just to loosen you up maybe...

The Tyleri government had spent billions on well developed mass transit systems, and many a unit commander was thankful of this. Millions of troops, and tens of thousands of war vehicles were gathering on the outskirts of Vinyalonde. The Alanian garrison was still significant, but the local populace knew the terrain and hated the invaders. Therefore, the Tyleri Army had excellent intelligence, and had descriptions of every nook and cranny of the alien defense's layout.

The constant guerilla attacks were a double edged sword in this case. Although it had drained the invaders of much needed manpower, it meant they would be on alert at every inch of their defense works, and would be nigh impossible to surprise. However, once the Tyleri army achieved local superiority, they could follow up on a breakthrough quite easily, as the internal transit of Vinyalonde had been heavily sabotaged.

When the first Alanian supply shipments were distributed along the Magtubes, a local technician fed more power to one section, then reversed the polarity, sending the first car in the supply train speeding backwards, essentially turning it into a gigantic railgun. This was done with a virus infiltrated into the magtube's network, so there were still explosions as the effect was activated elsewhere on the line.

Naturally, this meant food was scarce in the city. The guerillas had taken to distributing Alanian corpses as emergency rations. This was a very popular measure.

OOC: Eww. Kinda gross, lol.

Diego sat in the medbay having his leg restored to full health.

What is the status on the surface?

We've lost several rails to strange malfuctions, food is low, and our men are getting very impatient. Heinrich answered. He was the Admiral, but few knew that Diego was a member of the Black Guard, and the Lord Priests nephew.

Fine. Begin a bombardment of all enemy known postitions. I want orbital bombardment of the capital with the Earthshakers, and teleport more troops down there. Activate all Slave, Alani, and remaining Alanian guards. I want Slaveraiders on the surface, and get the troops some heavy rapid-fire disruptor cannons. Don't use the railcars. Blow them up. I'm taking Unit 21 down there. Oh, and Heinrich? Destory the palace.

~On the Surface~

Kristofer looked down his nightvision scope at the buildings. Orders were to shoot anyone who showed their faces.

Bloody, ever wondered why we joined up? Kristofer sent in mind-speak to his spotter, U'lrich.

Yeah. It sure as Alan ain't the money. Or the fame.U'lrich replied.

Suddenly Kristofer snapped up and looked down the scope at the road.

1523.06 meters. Male. In an army uniform. 5 Alanpieces if I get him?

U'lrich thought for a moment and looked through his opticulars.
Make it 10. He's pretty far away. Though...yeah. 10

Kristofer's sniper-disintiblast rifle lanced out with a bright cobalt beam.

The soldier's head vanished and the remains fell heavily to the ground.

Yeah! Gimme the 10, U'lrich.

Oh, well. My shift with the rifle now. I'm gonna get the ten back.

Suddenly, streaks of light appeared overhead and shot towards the city.

Looks like the Slaveraiders are starting their runs.

Explosions ripped through the city and rails as the bombs hit.

As Alanian aircraft soared over the battlefield, Private Beregond of the 12th heavy artillery division noted the areas they used for airbases. "Grid Papa-2-4-7, fire for effect, over." As the orders were recieved, numerous pieces of artillery rained down high explosive on the nearest targets. They couldn't keep up a continuous barrage, since the Alanian capital ships were bombarding any targets of opportunity, but the barrages served another purpose.

As the Alanian aircrew ran for cover, Tyleri Army special forces teams moved closer to their improvised airbases, using the artillery barrage to mask their movements. Taking convenient cover behind the piles of rubble that once made up their city, they sighted fuel tanks, ordnance bunkers, crew barracks, and radio transmitters.

Each target had 4 teams of 12 assigned to it. Arming their man-portable ATGMs, they proceeded to dispatch the targets their comrades in the Artillery had failed to terminate.

As the aliens reacted to the barrage, Tyleri snipers opened fire, picking off those with the more elaborate rank insignias and uniforms. After each shot, the snipers from one team would relocate, and the snipers from another team would open fire, with the other two teams following suit. As a result, the Alanian guards were usually unable to identify who was doing the shooting.

Meanwhile, behind the front lines, the Alanians continued to drop ordnance on Tyleri positions. Local units, which had been fighting for several weeks, had figured out what a destroyed target looked like from the air, and with the use of several welded pieces of metal, built decoy tanks and artillery pieces.

This helped in one of two ways. The Alanians could attack a decoy, report it to be clear, then send the ground troops in to be slaughtered by the Tyleri army soldiers who were supposedly without armor or artillery support.
The other way was to lure aircraft into areas with lots of SAMs and AAA.
But it seemed these aliens grew their planes on trees, because no matter how many they shot down, there were still more. To keep up the demand for decent air defense, the airforce was unable to provide CAS to the ground troops. If the 7th fleet were still intact, it would be scrambling fighters, but the Naval base was one of the first targets the Alanians hit.

As a result, old militia armories were broken open, and soldiers were resorting to using old flak guns, obsolete SAMs, and radar sets older then their grandparents. The systems were little better then scrap metal, but with so many in the field, even scrap accounted for something.

Hours later, after most of the Alanian aircraft had landed to rearm and refuel, the Tyleri Army continued its attack. The alien's airpower meant they could barely move the heavy equipment, but in an urban environment, infantry were more important. Vinyalonde was a jungle of skyscrapers, magtubes, basements, and balconies, and this was used to good effect by Tyleri soldiers.

An example of this action was at the junction of 115th and Lindon, a key defense point in the outer perimeter. It was heavily fortified by Alanian troops, who had the entire courtyard sighted with machine guns. They had even brought a laser cannon they cannibalized from the ruins of a tank, and used it to good effect. Neither armor nor artillery were very effective in trying to dislodge the aliens. But that's the reason combined arms is useful.

While the infantry and artillery bombarded the alien defenders, aiming to divert their attention, a company of engineers were making their way through the floors underneath. They were armed with shaped charge explosives, which they were using to blast through the walls of the basement they were using as a staging point. After making a large enough hole, they drilled their way to a nearby subway tunnel, normal approaches being too well guarded by the Alanians.

"Lt. Caranthir, this is Major Rynelf. How goes your progress?"
"Making our way there now, sir. We've still got some of our ordnance to bring up. We'll be there in about 10 minutes."
"Can't you move any faster? I'm throwing my men into the meat grinder trying to keep up suppressive fire!"
"Well sir," Caranthir said in a dour tone "We could run there in about 4 minutes if we didn't have to lug these heavy explosives. But I thought that was the whole point of our mission."
"Oh shut up. Just go. Do your fucking job."
"Roger that, sir. Out."

The engineers proceeded to the tunnel, until they found the section that ran under 115th and Lindon. "In position now sir. We're setting up our explosives. Can you give us two more minutes of suppressive fire? I don't want them thinking something's up below them."
"Ain't gonna happen. They already tore through most of the first regiment. If you move quickly, they won't have time to react."

On the surface, the Alanian troops cheered at the sight of yet another Tyleri attack turning into a bloody retreat. They jeered at the fleeing backs of their enemies, only a few feeling the vibrations under their feet. The next thing they knew, a series of violent explosions erupted in the heart of their defenses. They saw Tyleri combat engineers emerge from the depths, firing their weapons at the Alanians. One engineer with a rocket launcher destroyed their cannon, and his comrades pressed forward, rooting out any aliens that still cowered in their fieldworks. Using a combination of grenades and SMG fire, they strategically eradicated the enemies.
Lt. Caranthir reported success. "Mission accomplished, sir. We've still got most of the company, but quite a few are wounded. I suggest we dig in and hold this intersection. They might try to retake it while we're still consolidating our posit."
"Roger that, Lt. I'll send up one regiment to help fortify the area. The other one is needed to help clear out enemy positions elsewhere in the City. Out."

In orbit, over Armenelos
The Tyleri Capital
23:45

The attack on the Emperor was just a foreshadowing of the coming carnage.
Alanian Warships had bombarded the capital with everything they had, hoping to elicit a surrender from the defending troops. But every barrage they laid down just made them dig in deeper and put up more decoys. Most of the Alanian warships were employed for fire support and troop transport, so there weren't many on station to defend against a spaceborne threat. Enemy spaceships were nonexistant so far in this war. So far...

The Tyleri Imperial Starship Menelgor issued orders to the rest of the 8-ship flotilla. The Menelgor and her sister ships were part of a crash program to get a spaceborne armada operational.
They were crude and functional, lacking the elegance of the Alanian warships, but they were easy to build and crew, and carried lethal firepower. Their first target was an alien ship movement, dumping more bombs on Armenelos. The Flotilla armed their missiles, launching them at the alien ships. As they neared the target, the missiles split apart into several independently targeted warheads, using vernier thrusters and their momentum to reach the target. A total of 8 were in each missile, with 4 missiles fired from each ship, so there was sufficient firepower to reduce the bombarding vessels to expanding clouds of debris within seconds.

Admrial. We've detected a fleet of eight ships orbiting. Low Tech. Weapons are primitive but powerful.

Fine.Heinrich smiled. Destroy them...send the 2nd StarDivision and wipe them out. Continue bombardment of the city. Acutally. No. Bring back all troops. I have an idea.

The 2nd StarDivision broke off from the main group and streaked towards the Tyleri ships.

`On Surface`

The Tyleri troops cheered as they realized that the Alanian soldiers were packing up and transporting back to their ships...

Until they saw what was coming down....

With the destruction of Vinyalonde, some 2 million of Tyleri's best troops were been annihilated, along with tens of millions of militia, several thousand military vehicles, the 7th fleet, and all local military facilities.

But on the positive side, the aliens had retreated from their planet.
This gave Tyleri breathing space to replace their casualties, something that could be easily done with their population.

Although the cost was high, the immediate threat to Tyleri was over.
For the moment, both sides bided their time and gathered their strength.

Work was begun on rebuilding the orbital defense network, and it now had 400 orbital defense stations under construction.
12 more space elevators were brought online, and orbital factories were constructing space warships on triple shifts.

Emperor Neflonde ordered a massive buildup of the 2nd, 3rd, and 9th space fleets. Some 200 Menelgor class destroyers, as well as 40 Elbereth class cruisers, and 8 Hyarmendacil class Carriers were in each fleet, with an accompanying invasion force of some 5 million troops per fleet.
The Alanian planets of El' Harden, Canth, and Dregir were targeted, and orders were given for a retaliatory invasion.

In the Tyleri Military GHQ, the Emperor and his field marshals planned amongst themselves, weighing their strengths and weaknesses. Although Alanian ships were more powerful, the Tyleri ships could be built faster, and for a lesser cost. Also, Tyleri's larger industrial infrastructure and manpower base meant that they would outnumber the Alanians on most occasions.

Most importantly, Tyleri had nearly 5 billion citizens, and Alan only had 1/5th that, including slaves. Experience in Vinyalonde had shown the average Alanian guard member was poorly equipped, poorly trained, and poorly motivated to fight. The kill ratio for them was easily ten Alanian Guards for each Tyleri army soldier lost. The better trained Alanian soldiers, such as the Heretic Guard and Unit-21, were far more effective, but if all else failed, the Tyleri army could just swamp them with numbers.

Once the naval buildup was complete, Tyleri would invade more Alanian worlds. It didn't matter if they weren't successful in the end. The Alanians would be forced to send more troops to guard each world, and Tyleri could use its manpower advantage to bleed them white and make them sue for peace.

Note: This is taking 8 months in game time. We both need a breather

Feel free to try a raid or something in the meantime. And if it's not too much to ask, could you kindly add me to your enemies list on the website? I think I've proven myself a worthy opponent.

In preparation for their upcoming invasion, the Tyleri Starfleet had developed several new fighting techniques and pieces of equipment.

They had already developed a new vessel, the Umbar class Dropship, which carried a mechanized battalion and 12 helicopters for air support. An interplanetary transport ship carried 50 of them.

The RO-10 star fighter was also a new design. It had two laser cannons built with scavenged Alanian technology, and a 12-shot nuclear missile launcher. Vernier thrusters emplace all over the fighter gave it superb manueverability in space.
The only drawback was the armament. The weaponry of Alanian design was finicky, and unreliable. Tyleri engineers had to guess at a component's function with several important detail missing. They had no Alanian prisoners to interrogate. Those who hadn't been evacuated from the planet were killed by remote control.
As a stopgap, a mini-railgun was substituted on the RO-5 fighter, with the aforementioned vernier boosters also refitted on the frame.

In addition, a variant of the Nenya combat suit was built that allowed the Tyleri soldier to operate in zero-g. Someone in Spacefleet HQ had the brilliant idea of varying artificial gravity fields to deter Alanian attackers, and of course, it could work both ways.

To the leader of the Alanian invaders:

Though you have attacked our planet and our peoplein time of peace without provocation, We do not wish to inflict undue suffering upon your populace.
Continuation of the war will not end in victory for your side.

Our nation has ten times the population, and almost 20 times the economic power of Alan. The Tyleri soldier is equipped with weaponry unmatched in your arsenals. They are trained to fight and win in all environments in existance on our planet, and shall soon extend our mastery to the void of space, and the worlds populated by your wretched slaves.

Our space fleets shall rain destruction from the stars, then our all conquering armies will sieze every square meter of your planets. Your old ones shall mourn at the loss of their children, and your young ones shall grow up without knowing of the pride of their fathers or the love of their mothers.

The formerly great city of Vinyalonde, built by the sweat of my ancestors, have been devastated and will take generations to rebuild. You can be certain that my avenging warriors will spread this pain and sorrow amongst your people a hundred-fold.

Should you continue in your current path, it will only lead to the bloody destruction of you and all your nation holds dear.
Therefore, it has behooved our royal self to offer terms allowing the termination of hostilities:

1. Return all the abducted citizens of Tyleri that you absconded with in the attack on Ringilot, and in the subsequent occupation of Vinyalonde.

2. Surrender the military personnel responsible for the destruction of Vinyalonde, so they may be punished to the utmost limits of Tyleri military law.

3. Pay reparations to the families left destitute by the destruction of Vinyalonde. Some 60 billion gil, or the corresponding number of Alanpieces, are required. A plan for payment is negotiable.

4. Surrender the planet of El'harden, allow us to fortify it, and withdraw all your military forces some 3 AUs from the planet itself, to form a demilitarized zone, as a border to future aggression.

If you truly desire peace, you will remain open to our missive.

ORBIT OF PLANET DREGIR
ALANIAN TERRITORY
TYLERI 2ND SPACE FLEET

The numerous ships of the Tyleri fleet moved into formation. Long range scans would ideally provide all the intel needed on Dregir's defenses, but the sensors, like everything Tyleri scientists had retrofitted from Alanian technology, were not entirely reliable.

The scans were now compounded by radar readouts. The planet was protected by numerous orbital platforms, a dozen patrol craft, numerous fighters, and planetary based weapons emplacements.

The Tyleri carriers launched their own fighters, with the heavier ships engaging the orbital platforms. The cruisers launched their dropships, which hotlanded on the Alanian world, disgorging millions of troops over a large area.

Destroyers launched numerous boarding craft, which allowed the Tyleri Marines to board the defense platforms. Some were self-destructed by the crews, but many were captured by the skilled Tyleri soldiers. Lending their captured firepower, the orbital stations poured fire on targets in orbit and on the surface.

Working in tandem with their comrades in the Space fleet, the Tyleri army troops destroyed or captured the Alanian planetary defenses.

Within a week, the Tyleri army had a foothold on Dregir that was several hundred square kilometers. They dug in, and awaited reinforcements.

~OFFICAL GOVERNMENT RESPONSE~

The Holy Empire of The True Way of Alan will agree with the following changes to the provision:

1. Return all the abducted citizens of Tyleri that you absconded with in the attack on Ringilot, and in the subsequent occupation of Vinyalonde.

We agree to this.

2. Surrender the military personnel responsible for the destruction of Vinyalonde, so they may be punished to the utmost limits of Tyleri military law.

Unacceptable. We will turn over the commanding officers.

3. Pay reparations to the families left destitute by the destruction of Vinyalonde. Some 60 billion gil, or the corresponding number of Alanpieces, are required. A plan for payment is negotiable.

We offer 45 billion...

4. Surrender the planet of El'harden, allow us to fortify it, and withdraw all your military forces some 3 AUs from the planet itself, to form a demilitarized zone, as a border to future aggression.

Our Minister of Interplanetary Affairs summed this one up quite well...
"Like Hell!"

We have no intrest in pursuing this war that has proved unprofitable. We will pay the 45 billion, return the slaves, and turn over the commanding officers of the HETWA ISAN for war crimes. We also will offer the beneits of a trade alliance to help you repair your damaged cities and people. Our doctors and scientests are among the best in the interstellar region.

PLANET DREGIR
TYLERI OCCUPIED ZONE
0430

At the darkest hours of night, the skies of Planet Dregir were lit anew. The 'can opener' artillery barrages were fired on the Alanian positions, as the Tyleri army surged forward once more. The sounds of gun and laserfire were deafening, as each side poured all its energies into the destruction of its foe.

In space, the Tyleri fleet was caught between the remaining orbital defenses and a relieving Alanian force. The light ships served as screening forces, killing any attacking fighters or missiles, while the heavy warships used their large Mass drivers to batter down the shields of the Alanian warships.

The Tyleri spacefleet was inexperienced compared to the Alanian starships, and were bunched together in formations reminiscent of terrestrial navies.
Therefore, they had to rely on their heavy firepower, rather then manuevering to their best advantage.

The Tyleri fleet gradually closed the distance. Their fighters and light space craft sheared away the quickest moving weapons emplacements on Alanian warships, then the boarding craft attached to their hulls, disgorging troops. Whenever possible, they fought on. If it looked like they would be annihilated, they retreated back to their ships, leaving backpack nukes behind them, damaging several larger ships and destroying smaller ones.

The captured orbital platforms were aiding the Tyleri armies on the surface, keeping away enemy craft while the Tyleri fighters carried out Orbital Fire Support missions. Their payloads were dumped into the remaining Alanian held defense stations. One by one, they became expanding clouds of debris.

To the Lord Priest N'ala R'hab, acting on behalf of the Council of Seven, The High Council etc, etc.

From Neflonde III, Emperor of Tyleri

Though you have not accepted our terms in full, you have established that your nation is lead by rational, peaceloving men. We agree to your terms, on the condition that you grant our troops and starfleets free passage for withdrawal from Alanian space and Territory.

We anxiously await your reply.

For the final time in this war, the Tyleri army and Spacefleet deployed. The troops all marched back to their dropships, some walking, some riding, some being carried. Most of the troops were evacuated before the first week was over. The local populace had been told by the Alanian government about the ceasefire, and any Tyleri soldiers that had gone MIA were recovered and sent back.

Tyleri citizens that had been abducted were sent to field hospitals, then loaded onto a dropship once they were declared fit to travel, and it was determined that they were free of any alien diseases.

Similarly, Alanian prisoners were turned over to their countrymen, alive and for the most part, unharmed.

They were exchanged for the commanding officers of the ships responsible for the destruction of Vinyalonde. Those people were escorted to the brig of the Flagship, being beaten a few times by soldiers who had relatives in Vinyalonde.

Once everyone was where they needed to be, the Tyleri troops withdrew to orbit. Once there, they engaged their FTL drives, and headed home.

How about you turn over the reparations at a more formal setting, in the Imperial Palace at Armenelos? Plus, that way we can have a big party once the peace treaty is finalized?
