Looking for an adversary (OOC)

I have found what I was looking for. Thank you, everyone else, for at least showing interest.

It's been a long time since I've had a war. Ages, in fact. The real problem with having a war, though, is finding someone to fight.

I'm looking for a nice roleplay with someone who can:

A. Write at least half-decently (and produce a previous thread or piece of writing to prove that he can);
B. Not godmode;
C. Cope with my hours (~4-6 PM M-F; Sat, Sun uncertain) and lack of rigid time in an RP;
C. Put up a decent fight;
D. Put up with a tech level that's somewhere between modern, mid-future, and steampunk;
E. Cope with a nonhuman enemy;
and F. Cope with a nation which is an enviromental disaster zone of the first order, with a population that lives mostly underground, a militaristic society, and a predeliction for nasty, brutal tactics that no sane human would use.

Information about Khrrck can be found here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Category:Khrrck), but some of the documents may be out of date or not reflect the current quality of my Story, so don't trust them. The most current information can always be obtained from me.

Sign up in this thread OR send a telegram to Khrrck OR AIM me (Khrrck967). Telegrams or signing up in the thread are probably the most reliable means of contact.

In general, I like crude ingenuity, modern concepts achieved with outdated technology, and brute force. My nation reflects this. I'm not exactly in the steam age, like the traditional definition of steampunk would have it, but it's the best term I can find to describe the style I appreciate.

For example, if one of my citizens wants to make a vehicle go faster, he won't tinker with it to increase efficiency, reduce weight, reduce drag, et cetera; he'll just shoehorn a bigger engine into the thing. They like customization, modification, and the like.

This does have a few disadvantages: it's hard to find a standard issue weapon anywhere in my military, things break rather frequently, and sometimes a modification does more harm than good. However, when things break they're generally fixed fast, and my fighters are quite good with improvised weapons.

Roman Greece, you'll have to be more specific about what sort of "info" you want.

Dear God......the possibilities with this are enormous. And I'm bored. Very bored.

I'd love to fight, and, seeing as how we're about equal size, the fight should be quite fair.

Now, RP references. Let me look about. If you want to ask various RPers, go ask AMF, The Zoogie People, or possibly Euroslavia about their opinions of my RPs.

I can't really give you huge amounts, as I've been RPing less and less in large-scale military actions recently, but I'll throw a few links and posts at you. Mind that some are on good days, others on bad. If you want to do this, TG me, post here, or feel free to IM me. samtheuberman on AIM, samtheuberman@hotmail.com on MSN.

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=381400 - Great opening post, if I do say so myself.

If you want more posts, threads, etc, ask and you shall receive. If you want peer comments, I suggest that you TG the people I mentioned and ask for opinions.

I haven't Rped military in a while because I'm tired of all the number and tech wankers. I would love to have an opportunity to just have fun time RPing.

Samtonia, (name seems familiar) I'd be happy to go to war with you. (Now that's a strange sentence!)

Samtonia, I doubt I'll have the time to start today... perhaps can work out mutal geography, etc. and start tomorrow. AIM or MSN would be best for sorting out details before we start.

Sorry, other people. Perhaps we could fit 1 or 2 more in secondary roles.

I think were perfect for each other.
The question is, can you cope with a non-human opponent? ;)

Goblins have achieved quite alot in recent times...see my 'BMG space program' thread for example. Attempting spaceflight with what amounts to a giant firecracker.
That and theyre vicious fighteres, especialy with modern technology.

But I see you fair to spell "a lot", "fighters", and "we're" properly... and goblins aren't quite inventive enough, and Samtonia has already contacted me. Sorry, no thanks.

Roman Greece, read the thread or be more specific.

Well, 'scuse me for two typos and a habitualy dropped apostrophe.
Since my writing style does not apparently please your discerning tastes, I will extricate myself from this thread and cease to concern you.

Good day sir.
