The flag I'm currently using is just the Galactic Empire symbol. I have a real flag that I want to use for my nation.

It's colors consist of Red and Black.

Red: For the blood of the soldiers who fought to keep the galactic empire alive.

Black: For the reign of the dark side. May it last forever.

The flag itself is hard to describe. It's basicly a symetrical shape consisting of mainly right triangles. I really need to get it posted up on nation states.

Blue is for the tranquility of peace. Black is for the inevitable death that comes with the inevitable war. And the crescent moon is because I like nighttime, and a plain black-and-blue flag seemed to... well, too plain.

I'm using it as the flag for my country right now.

The Flag of the Federal Republic of Bonstock is three white stars in an upside-down triangular pattern centered on a blue field. The three stars symbolize the three states of the Federal Republic.

My flag, I stole off of the USA icon for CnC Generals. The rest is just some lousy MSpaint add-ins, lol.

But, if I were to assign some meaning to it all...

Hmmm...

-The bird in the front is something of a culture thing. Birds are seen as a creature of beauty, of elegance. Os sophistication, and of refinement... And of a hidden, and frightful ferocity when provoked... It’s also white, a pure color

-The star is refers to the belief that our people came from the stars, and that we would one day return to them. That's part of that reason it's also on the bird.

-The wierd yellow shaped thing? That is sorta just a design meant to accent the whole design.

-The shield behind the bird is meant to signify strength, and protection that our people's unity provides.

-The sword behind it is to signify our deadliness, and power. And the fact that the Sovereignty was forged in war. We're not afraid to kick-ass when need be. It is black, as it is a color of death, and war.

-The blue is meant to represent the sky, the bird's infinite realm.

-The red, the blood of our people.

The fact that the blue and the red come together is to signify that our people's blood, the very essence of our race, is merged with the sky, the gate way to the heavens, the infinite realm our people are destined to return to.
The fact that the shield is as well is because it is in the merging that we also gain strength.

The final and most important reason of all for all the colors and designs on our flag? Because it look cool, lol.

Well, here it is, in all it's pirated, and unimmpressive glory:

Demons Passage
25-04-2005, 03:13
My flag is a lich removing a human faced mask. Its significance is a reminder of corruption. Many use religion, groups and organizations to hide within. There are demons amongst what is meant to be good and religion, for example, can help to humanize them.

Red is the blood of those who gave their lives for the Revolution.
Blue is the waters of Ghorunda, symbolic of the Revolution flowing throughout the land.
White is the mountaintops of the capital, Crowne, and taken in conjunction with the blue, means that the Revolution spreads from the highest mountains to the lowest oceans.

http://www.bath.ac.uk/~jsd23/NSEGBflag.jpg

This is the flag of the Duchy of Claverton. It is styled on the livery used by the railways that served London between 1986 and 1996, so it is used for my main nation. The Flag of GREAT Britain is present in the top left corner.

http://www.bath.ac.uk/~jsd23/rrflag.jpg

This will be the flag of any permanent ambassadors I have representing myself in foreign nations or alliances. It is stylised on the local railways away from London, which is why I choose it for non-roaming diplomats. Again, the flag of GREAT Britain is present to show my home region.

http://www.bath.ac.uk/~jsd23/icflag.jpg

This will be the flag of any roaming diplomats I may employ. It is styled on the Intercity services, which move between the capital and the regions - which is analogous to a roaming diplomat.

Cunning, but nerdy, though I say so myself.

Callisdrun

The blue and stars are for the night sky of Callisdrun, where the daylight sky is rarely seen.

The tree is taken from the flag of the old nation of Drun, which when combined with Callisdrin became Callisdrun. It is a symbol of life, strength and tradition.

The four little designs are for Callisdrun's heritage and are taken from part of Callisdrin's flag.

Taerkasten
25-04-2005, 10:02
The Taerkast flag is a golden sword against a golden shield, and symbolises how the Druidic Council of Taerkasten used to rule -- by the sword. It's an irrelevant concept in modern times, but it remains as tradition. Currently the flag is pretty low-quality, but I intend to redo it soon...

EDIT: Here we go, remade --

Intangelon

http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/uploads/intangelon.jpg

Okay, that's a weird process. Anyway, my flag is our adorable national animal, the WWI veteran and herding dog extraordinaire, the Briard. She represents all that the Intangelese stand for: fierce loyalty, playfulness, duty, and the need to chase (and occasionally even retrieve) thrown objects. Designed so that the overall amount of black and white are as equal as I could eyeball in order to symbolize a Taoist balance. Or the golden mean, whichever you prefer. We're an accomodating people.

Cotland
25-04-2005, 11:08
http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/uploads/cotland.jpg

The flag consists of a crowned golden loin holding an axe, marching forward inside a red shield that is crowned with a golden crown. It is surrounded by white.

The lion symbolize the Emperor of Cotland, marching forward towards the enemies of Cotland to defend his country and people.

The red shield symbolize the blood of the many men and women who have died to defend Cotland.

The crown symbolize the rule of the Emperor, and the small cross on top of the crown symbolize that Cotland is a christian nation.

The white surrounding the flag symbolize the purity and innosence of Cotland.

The White symbolises the racial purity of the Guilders and their close relationship with God.

The Golden Crosses are symbols of the Catholic Faithful, simple as that.
Cobdenia
25-04-2005, 11:56
ur flag is a hangover from the days we were part of the British Empire; it is the standard colonial "blue ensign" flag with the coat of arms of Sir Richard Cobden, whose political ideals we are founded upon, in the bottom left.
Cardial
25-04-2005, 12:23
-The Holy Republic of Cardial-
Our flag heralds from an earlier time, before the 'Revelation Revolts' and the Creation of a Democratic republic, after years of democratic theocracy.
Before all of this, it symbolises the meeting of the east (East European culture) and west (Indian/Chinesse Culture). This is shown with The Regal Blue of the Crusaders and the Oriental Aqua of the Easterners. Yet when The Holy Republic of Cardial was taken up by the Theocratic republic they embelished the flag with an arrow of pure goddly white with the red and gold upside down cross of 'The Faith'.

The symbology of it? I'd say it's a simple message, myself.
