I dont care. Believe it or not, it's not against the laws of physics to fire a nuclear weapon against a conventional fleet. Comment on your own RPs. And Im not jsut throwing them about because Im bored. My nation will die out completely in about 6 hours of real time if this goes ahead.

OOC: I'm not sure exactly how far territorial waters extend, but it's plenty deep enough for warships. We aren't talking about Hiroshima bombs here. We're talking about ICBMs, weapons which are about fifty times as powerful. Fire one of those at a target ten miles off your coast...adios, amigo. Even if the explosion itself doesn't hurt your soldiers, radiation will. It's a little thing called wind.

ooc: Territorial waters is 20 miles out. That's in range even of land borne artillery. Not a good place for a carrier, but if you want to put one there then good luck to you mate. I know I wouldn't. Still, I intend on intercepting your fleet at 100kms unless you agree to pull off, or at least halt your fleet so we can have peace talks.

i see him as a threat to the world in general i would wish that this would have a peaceful ending but i most look out for my people in the area of this conflict, i also think that a meeting would be a good idea but i will not make my fleet leave... i don't trust him...

Crates and crates of food and medical supplies were loaded onto C5 Galaxies and Boeing 747's as the aircraft took off over dark blue rainy night skies on a path to give supplies to the blockaded nation of Feline Catfish before the blockade could be moved. The C5 Galaxy's engines hummed rather loudly and eagerly as they prepared to take off, which they would soon do, after the Lend Lease vehicles and weapons were loaded on. The 67th Rosian Fleet, patrolling the oceans of the world, received new orders. Fun eh? Their mission was simple, break the blasted blockade around the Republic of Feline Catfish. I mean come on, all they want are nukes! Everyone in this blasted game has nukes, even me! I mean, neutron MIRVs, but you don't know that.

"The Democratic Imperium of Praetonia views with contempt those nations which seek to deny the very right to defence and national sovereignty to an idenpendent nation that does not appear to have made aggressive moves against any of the involved nations, save for threatening perhaps harsh consequnces should they attack. The fact remains that Feline Catfish has shown no signs of deploying nuclear weapons outside the confines of a defensive war which she would otherwise have no chance of winning and the fact also remains that Ankhmet and allies should not have provoked Feline Catfish in the first place by instituting a blockade.

"We therefore demand to see written confirmation of a withdrawl of all blockading forces, backed up with action within the following 2 hours, or we will have no choice but to mobolise the combined might of the Grand Expeditionary Fleet and all 1260 vessels of which it consists, including the Super Dreadnaught PWS Imperial. Though we do view the active attempts to procure nuclear weapons to be rather concerning, we are extremely disturbed and angered that few nations would choose a course of action that will not only danger the government of Feline Catfish, but also the civilians in the nation, in addition to the economic interests of said nation and others. We feel that this type of aggressive action, a "blockade" so has it proclaimed, is nothing but a sickening gamble to flex one's muscles and violate the sovereignity of the Feline Catfish nation for profit and territory.

However, one of the major concerns would be trade. Though we do admit that Feline Catfish is slightly inferior to many nations in terms of economical power, we estimate that our traders and merchants will be endangered by such aggressive acts set up against Feline Catfish. Thus, any blockade of that nation, which results in a negative impact on the well-being of the Omzian traders and merchants, will warrant a full Declaration of War by the Omzian government, and subsquently, the Air, Maritime, and Ground forces of the Omzian People's National Defence Forces.

A general mobilization of the Omzian Forces is underway, as military deployment is expected. The Southern Fleet of the Omzian Navy will also undergo a Wartime Mobilization procedure.

A group of nations, obviously lacking the balls necessary to deny more powerful and nuclear-capable nations the right to possess such weapons, has decided that they will use hostile means to deny Feline Catfish said weapons, by means of blockade, and they might actually be willing to go even further.

Another group of nations, obviously less dilusional about the state of the world we live in, recognising that everyone and their dog (And quite possibly the nations that want to deny Feline Catfish this weapons) possesses such capacities, has decided that they want to defend Feline Catfish's sovereignity and the lifes of its people against this blatant attempt at showing off the tiny dicks of the national leaders present in the first group.

President Zwimbala was in a meeting with High Admiral Michaelson, and Michaelson's most trusted subordinate, Commodore Fortino. The two of them had been through a lot together, and as such they were the two most experienced commanders in the Pacific Northwesterian Navy.
"I don't like the looks of this," said Zwimbala, handing a top secret briefing to Michaelson. Michaelson handed it over to Fortino and replied, "yes, this is most disturbing. I see some of our OMP allies have joined with other nations to try to prevent the starvation of FC and the imminent nuclear war between FC and the blockading nations"
"Shall we join them?" put in Fortino, having glanced at the briefing. "The most support they have, the fewer losses on our side, and the better the chance that we can avert a war. If they are assured that they will be destroyed if they do not back down, they will be forced to. This cannot be allowed to turn into a war over something this small."

While we find it unfortunate that nuclear proliferation has worsened to such an extent that nuclear bombs have fallen into the hands of such a small nation, we also recognize that in such a hostile world, a small nation such as Feline Catfish may have had no other alternatives.
We hereby urge Feline Catfish to disarm half of its nuclear arsenal, under the supervision of Pacific Northwesterian inspectors, within the next two years. While we acknowledge your need for nuclear defense, we do not believe that they are needed in such quantity.
However, the more pressing need is the current blockade around Feline Catfish. Not only does this blockade reinforce the believe that a small nation must defend itself however it can, it will wind up in either the starvation of the people of Feline Catfish, or the engagement of nuclear weapons against the blockading fleet. In the interim, trade is being disrupted, and the effects are widespread indeed.
It is for these reasons that I, President Zwimbala of the Nomadic Peoples of Pacific Northwesteria, have ordered the 2nd Expeditionary Fleet, battle groups Alpha and Beta, to make ready to sail for Feline Catfish should this situation worsen in any way, to stand by our allies in the OMP.

Second Expeditionary Fleet, Battle Groups Alpha and Beta

Elements of the 2nd Expeditionary Fleet left their moorings, and formed up to sail for Feline Catfish. They were given orders to stay out of weapons range unless they were needed, at which point they were ordered to help the allied nations forcibly remove the blockade.

Five Battle Class Destroyers cut effortlessly through the waves. Their sleek lines catching the sun and glinting like gold. The majesty of the Feline Catfish Navy. Always patrolling against the Fascist invader.

OOC: Jeez, go to sleep for a few hours and look what happens . . .

The Free Land of Clan Smoke Jaguar is appalled by the flagrant disregard for the sovreignty of the nation of Feline Catfish, and while we do frown upon nuclear proliferation, we cannot condone such outrageous responses, and will undertake all measures necessary to lift this illegal blockade. To that end, the Megiddo battle group has been dispatched, along with the 1st Bombardment Squadron and 2 assault carrier groups, with orders to break the blockade.

Whilst we are no particular lovers of nuclear proliferation, the Republic cannot condone the denial of a sovereign nation's right to national defence by paranoid outsiders. In consequence, we have found it necessary to send a battlecarrier group centred around the RWS Resolution and Robust to the area. If necessary further forces will be deployed.

If FC starts nuking offensively, without a legitimate, imminent threat of his/her own survival, I do believe everyone here would simultaneously pound him/her into the ground. Or, to put it another way, his/her head would be "off like a prom dress", as it were....
Anyway, Pacific Northwesteria trusts that Feline Catfish will make no such moves, and will honor his/her word as far as the use of nuclear weapons. As per that trust, we will fight to maintain their ability to defend themselves against agressors.

For some reason, when you declared a blockade, we thought that you were going to be blocking trade. You know, being the definition of a blockade and all. The Nomadic Peoples of Arckum politley but firmly ask you to discontinue the production of these nuclear warheads. These weapons will hurt the entire world if utilized, if you were to attack the blockade with these weapons, not only would you be violating international laws, but you would be poisoning the air and water in that area, killing countless life across the planet.

3. In order to stop all shipments of nuclear weapons, you have to stop every merchant ship to search it. So yes, you are stopping food and stuff. You just let it go if it passes your "inspection". The OMP works to preserve unfettered passage of merchant vessels, except in emergency situations, and, frankly, Feline Catfish wouldn't be nuking anybody if you hadn't tried to invade them/blockade them. They had to nuke you before you were close enough that fallout would destroy their country. They gave you plenty of warning. You brought this upon yourself.

While we share Ankhmet's concerns about the Feline Catfish's nuclear arsenal, the fact other larger nations have been instrumental in the success of this program shows there a degree of trust with the use of these weapons.

We will not interfere with Feline Catfish's right to these weapons as we feel the senior partners in Feline Catfish's program will be vigilant to reel any errant behaviour.
