OOC: That's still just over 50% of the total! CCR, nice choice. And I will add The Who. Thanks, UX.

We thank the Macabean Imperium for their generous donation to help make this benefit concert a success. We ourselves will be donating 12.8 million douros ($25 million USD) as well. That should definitely set the goal's achivement in stone.

(Nooooo! Someone already has U2! x.x)

The Reich proposes the following bands/artists for this event:

Jack Levin: To say this man is currently a hit with Tocrowkian Teens is a vast understatement. He is insanely popular, infact his most recent album sold over 600 Million Copies within the first 14 hours! And at a recent concert, the said event had to be carried out to the Tocrowkian Steppes just to accommodate the 600,000 Teens that sallied out to see him. He deals mostly with pop and rock, and is a strong believer in world wide peace and acceptance.

"The Ravens": Naming them selves after the national animal of our nation, this group is the second(Only to Levin) most popular rock band in Tocrowkia. Their latest tour through Tocrowkia grossed over 10 Billion USD! All of which they donated to charity causes and decease research.

Additionaly, Tocrowkia would also like to donate a sum of twenty billion dollars to this cause. We would donate more, but we have a war going on after all.

Of course their not real zombies. Real Zombies singing would sound something like audio from a badly written and acted porn movie.

We'd like to ask some questions though:

1) Are these performances indoor, or outdoor?

2) How many tickets are available, and for how much?

3) How do you plan to deal with the influx of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of rabid fans?
Pacitalia
24-04-2005, 02:57
Read the first post to answer the first two questions. But to clarify, it is an outdoor venue with a covered, lighted stage.

Security will be provided by the SAFD and the Mandragora Police Administration. Numbers will be high. Some streets will be closed for use only by pedestrians to get to and from the park.

Spruitland sends local one-hit-wonder Jackson Starr and the CliniClowns (Nurse, My Pressure’s Risin’ – 37 weeks on #1 in the Spruitland Charts) to provide street entertainment for the people waiting in line outside the Parco Libera.

The Spruitland Government would also like to donate $217,537 USD and 2,000 liters of cough syrup.

T-Shirts for all performing bands will be available in a marketplace adjacent to the park. The basic rate will be D5.00, but merchants may or may not raise the price to increase their profit. However, the ones selling for basic rates will see D3.00 go to charity, the rest to pay back the shirt manufacturers for materials and labour.

Bono and artists like him will be signing autographs in the public during the concert, but after a private session will be available for governments and high-profile figures to get their turn.

Thanks to Spruitland for their generous donation and their intelligence - that cough syrup will definitely be needed for both the crowd and performers.
Pacitalia
24-04-2005, 06:02
Just a note that outside the park gates there is room for about 300,000 more people, but they may be able to see the concert without paying, which is rather sad.

Farmina
24-04-2005, 06:40
OOC: Easily I would think. I have seen music crammed in a lot more. A good idea would to be have three seperate stages, so while one band is playing the other two are being set up.
Pacitalia
24-04-2005, 06:45
It's a non-stop concert that runs for 72 hours straight without stopping once. Each band will probably play for between 1 or 2 hours.

I would inquire as to whether it is possible to inquire as to whether Pacitalia's embargo against Farmina still stands. It would be most inappropriate for us to supply musicians and funding to Pacitalia, if Pacitalia takes the moral stand that it wants nothing to do with Farmina. Also should be considered, Farmina’s constitutional alterations and new government.

The embargo still stands today, but we are interested in bilateral talks to remove the said legislation. Regardless of that, none of the money will touch government hands - this is an event held by private citizens with the support of the Government of Pacitalia - so you need not worry about any problems with ethics. As I said, though, a lift of the embargo could be considered.

The Democratic Colonies would like to have the following musical artists and groups perform for the benefit concert:

I would like to donate, from my personal accounts, forty-five billion kroner to this most worthy cause. My donation comes with a single stipulation: concert attendance shall be free. I would also like to see that at least 10% of the available seats are made available to AIDS and cancer patients (those that are healthy enough to attend). Any additional costs to accommodate these people shall be forwarded to me.

I would also like to offer the services of the Royal Philharmonic. The RP is the Grand Duchy's most accomplished and renowned symphony orchestra. Beside the usual classical, blues, and jazz pieces, the Royal Philharmonic is an established power in folk music as well as more modern compositions in the classical mold.

Reginald Leopold I, Magnus Dux

OOC: 1 Krone= $2 USD, so the Grand Duke's donation comes to $90 billion USD.

In addition, put down that most awesome group R.E.M as coming care of Hamptonshire.
