Okay so its the year 20/20 in a post-modern world. A mad scientist has created a virus that turns people in to zombies. It spread quickly, now there are only 2 million humans left, 1.9 million of which are in China in the Himalayas. You and a band of other humans. You have to fight your way out of New York City and escape to a small, secluded, and above all safe island off the coast of Florida.
There are two sides, zombies and humans. Choose one side.
Here are your weapons: Shotgun, chain saw, monkey wrench, AK-47, M-16, samurai sword, baseball bat, and two gallons of acid.
Your vehicles: a bicyle, a helicopter with only 2 drums of fuel left, and a small boat stocked with booze.

Zombie powers:
Super strength, moderate intelligence, can die only if you suffer massive head trauma. You can only use the bats or any other non-mechanical object.

Human side (did I have a choice?), katana , bicycle. Assured: the items will not run out before I do.

Dr. Mierhof (me) was seperated from the others. Dr. Mierhof was armed an M-16 with a full metal jacket, his final one. He was a bit scared and at his old age of 67, his sight was going. Bleeding from a wound he received from a sword battle with another clan, he left a thick trail of blood. He knew he had to find help before the zombies found him. Suddenly there was a noise. He turned and it was his companion, Tenzing Moregay.

Andrew has spent most of the zombie apocalypse camped out in a hotel room, with a large quantity of nestea and sour cream and onion chips. Being in New York was certainly odd. Work had dragged him up to the UN to piss some foreigner off. Well, the foreigner must have been really pissed, because he tried to bite Andrew, well, locking the fellow in his office seemed to work.

Andrew went back to his room and called back to Foggy Bottom, his boss was incredibly confused and told him to hold tight for a while. So Andrew did precisely that, even during the rioting. He watched the plague break out on CNN, and so he robbed a food delivery truck, hauled the goods upstairs to his room, and took the drivers shotgun. He then locked the door and blocked it with a cabinet.

He also pilfered alcohol from the minibar.

After a period of time, he started to run low on nestea, so he decided to go off and look around.

ooc: I gotta think there would be more than 2 million people alive. Some of the larger navies, especially whatever was out at sea should have been able to remain uninfected and secure at least some islands with naval bases throughout the Atlantic and Pacific. From there civilians could be carefully evacuated to said area. Many would have been evacuated by military and civilian vessels and aircraft already I'd imagine.

Fred shuddered in his little hiding place in the subway. He knew that they were going to try to kill him! That damn government, with its secret radio waves burning people's minds and turning them into flesh-eating monsters! He knew this was going to happen! Others refused to listen to his careful explanations about the aliens and the New World Order, but look where they were now! He had the last laugh.

After a long trek south along the coastline, the zombie was huddled inside the remnants of a gnarled tree in the swamp. Despite being in a fitful state of slumber, barely any noise escapes the tree.

The zombie awakes with a start. A distinct splashing noise at the edge of the swamp gives rise to the call of nature inside its head. Groggily it peaks out from inside the tree.

The ambient heat of the swamp, and the reflections from the midday sun, obscure the infrared vision receptors that have grown where eyes should have been. The zombie's acute hearing, however, picks out a human-sized form scampering back up over an embankment about 100 metres away.

It begans to trudge towards the source of the noise. Human sized noisy creatures generally make the tastiest treats. It stops, sniffs the air, and emits a moaning bellow.

OOC: Whoever is in Florida with me, and wants to take the role of the noisy creature, I suggest some options:

You can shoot at the zombie's head, attempt to kill it. I'll have to create a new zombie.
You can shoot glancing shots or misses and have the zombie advance on you.
You can run screaming like a little girl.

Its a fanatsy RP, so I picked a low number.

I think my chosen side is pretty obvious.

The keas have discovered that zombies are even tastier than sheep, so the zombie population of New Zealand is lower than average, but still too high to be safe.

Um. If you eat a zombified corpse, when zombification was caused by a plague, don't you think you would become a zombie?
