UPPE to attempt the unimaginable

*The President sat as his desk, and waiting for the old-fasioned 21th century news cameras to start rolling*

*thinking*
Jeez. Why do we still have these things?!

*cameraman mouths to Eugene, "rolling!"*

Good evening, my fellow Plutonians. For the past few years now, our top scientists here in Nuke Factories (ooc: the city) have been researching ways to obtain an ongoing, self-sustained nuclear fusion reaction in a "supernuclear" explosion. This past week, we have been able to do it. The video you are seeing on your screens is of the creation of the very first, although tiny, artificial star, only about a few meters in radius. It survived only for a few minutes before dying out and vaporizing half the lab room.

*slight pause*

Now, that brings us to the next step. The creation of a full size star system, using the technique we just showed you. Now as you all know, our very first attempt a few centuries ago failed miserably during our war with the Republic of Yuri. This time, however, we will NOT fail. We shall call it the Pisces Centauri project, after our original capital on the planet Pluto prior to our decline.

The new project will take place approximately 10 light years from here in Deneb, where we have detected a number of rogue planets in the region.

You can find out more about project Pisces Centauri on the empire's official website, piw.theplutonianempire.gov.

That is all for now. Good night.

*Transission cut*

OOC: This is the first of a small series of RP's, all part of one BIG rp. TG me for details if you wish.

OOC: Not to be a party pooper or anything, but if you couldn't sustain a small one, how exactly are you going to sustain a large star?

We advise that you tale care and extreme caution. There is a risk you could create a black hole. That would render the sector uninhabitable. Please use it in an empty area of space.

And good luck.

OOC: that's not what i meant. what i meant was that because of it's small size, thus the quite finite amount of hydrogen in that star, it had a very short lifespan. The bigger star will be able to live longer. ;)

In the NS Space World do Black Holes lead anywhere and what do they entail.

We recognize the risk we're taking by detonating the bomb so close to plutonian airspace. We thank you for your concern.

black holes don't lead anywhere. they just suck in everything in sight--including light. wormholes lead you to places ;)

We hope it works. If sucessful, mankind could survive for eternity.

Or atleast until we kill each other off.

It will.

An eternity? not quite. we still have to deal with the "big rip" in about 20 billion year's time ;)

The bigger star will be able to live longer. ;)Actually, it's the other way around. The bigger a star, the faster it uses up its hydrogen (More heat, more fusion reactions). Hence, why small stars (Red Dwarfs) may live trillions of years, while the giants may only manage a few hundred million years.

But I guess that such is irrelevant to your plans here, so... *Heads out*

OOC: i know how stars work. the microscopic star didn't last very long because the nuclear explosion consumed and fused all the hydrogen at a very fast pace. and the planned star is a sunlike star. ;)

Hummm... Okay...

PS: And I meant that I didn't really want to, errr.. Interfere.

Don't worry. You're not interfering.

Yet. :;)

**For the past few months, the Plutonian Empire has been making preparations, and constructing the bomb at the detonation point 10 light years away.**

*The science advisor, Vanessa, walks in*
Gene? The final preparations are underway for the detonation.

Good. Do we have a date set?

A date, Mr. President? ;)

*LOL!* Not THAT kind of date, Vanessa! Ha ha. No, I meant the date for the detonation.

Aw, shucks. ;)

*Grinning childishly*
You've certainly made my day today, Ms. Aumbrey.

So, anyhoo. We expect to have the bomb ready for detonation in a few weeks, Mr. President.

Good, good. Thanks.

However...

"However" what?

There have been some reports of some space-time anomalies in the vicinity of the detonation site. I advise that we issue a government advisory to keep an eye out for them and to be wary.

I concur. I think we can also find a way to use these anomalies as an excuse to other nations away from the site, and keep the site from prying eyes.

Good idea.

Is that all?

Yep. That's it!

Alrighty. Thank you, Vanessa.

You're welcome, Mr. President! *Bows gracefully*

*The science advisor exited the room*

OOC: Please, no sabotages. It is part of my major RP, which will continue when I post with my puppet in a little bit.
