Security is completely taken care of. The Imperial High Guard, numbering in the thousands, had the Palace and hotel secure, while the Police and Military were protecting the city. The Empire was making sure that there would be no breached security.
Other information about attending is in the first link of this page.

Emperor Grand Admiral Count Robinson Antares Scorpius, dressed in his formal garments (http://topazdesigns.com/art/thehunter.jpg), sat on the ceremonial throne in the ballroom. He looked over at the beautiful woman sitting beside him: Empress Countess Nora Courtney, Chancellor of the Imperial Parliament. She was, indeed, beautiful, with brownish-blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a beautiful dress and a small crown on her head.
The 25-year-old emperor took the hand of his new wife, the most powerful woman in the Grand Imperium of Risban, and smiled. Guests were starting to arrive.

In attendance were many leaders of the Risban Empire...
Alexander Perkins: Minister of Foreign Affairs
Lord William Plutus: Minister of Finance
Lord Richard Gaius Zorag: Minister of Industry, Zorag Company CEO
Duke Magnus Scorpius: Cousin to the Emperor, Minister of Business, ScorpCorp CEO

These were among the more notable guests. Many other members of the Parliament, Senate, aristocracy, business community, and of the sort were in attendance of the Emperor's Ball as well. It was open to international delegates and leaders.

((I'll make the bump happen. You handle the lady.))
Jordan shook his head violently and took the spacesickness pill offered to him. His father, Ishmael, rolled his mother, Natasha, out of the ship. His grandfather followed them. There were dozens of gaurds, but also a few employees to Green Sun City Asylum since his grandfather and father were now legally insane. Jordan doubted if Earnest was really insane, but he was almost a century older than he should be.

"It's a downright shame that Heidi can't be with us at this party. Emperor Scorpius is a close friend and she would have loved to come," Natasha said. The empress had recently grown ill which deprived her of the ability to walk.

"I remember when she was younger she had a crush on the Risbanian emperor. Oh, I would love nothing more to see her face."

"It seems that time passes much faster at home than on Earth, doesn't it, dear brother?" a new voice said. The turned to see Ishmaels' little brother, Yillik. He seemed to be much younger than he should than his brother, however. So perhaps his statement was true.

"Uncle Yillik! I didn't know you would be joining us at the party!"

"Well I've been stationed here for over five years! I've gotten to know the emperor pretty well. He personally invited me for my services."

Yillik grinned.

"He also said that there's a good chance I might find a suitible companion for the base, if you know what I mean!"

"Oh, dear brother, it's been too long. You're not a day over thirty-five. Natasha is almost sixty and I am almost seventy. And our dear father of our nation is well over a hundred. What has time done to us?"

"Just send yourselves down here for a spell or two. Maybe it would be best if you stayed there. Who knows, Einstein was a very odd fellow."

"I am sure that the Emperor would be more than happy to let you stay," said Alexander Perkins, stepping forward to meet the Green Sun Delegation. The Minister of Foreign Affairs smiled. "Welcome back to Risban, Highnesses. Emperor Scorpius is waiting to say hello."

Lady Andromeda Lesath, part of the Imperial Aristocracy and an heiress to one of the founders of Risban Automotive Industries, was speaking with her cousin, Sargas Caecus Lesath, one of the Emperor's closest advisors. She had brown hair, blue eyes, and was twenty years old. She was currently attending the Imperial Academy of Diplomacy, studying international relations and civil rights. She was related to Emperor Scorpius as his second cousin once removed on his mother's side.

The Streets of Risban City
Parades were heard all over with the sounds of trumpets. It had been declared a holiday, and the Risbani were making the most of it. Carnivals opened here and there, and the streets began to fill with crowds, entertainers, food, confetti, angered motorists, flower petals, and the like. And, the weather was excellent!
Both of Risban City's massive airports took on extra flights, preparing for the large amount of visitors. The Emperor's private airport was full as well, taking in international delegates.
It was, all in all, a very nice time in the Grand Imperium of Risban.

((I know he's not the guy to organize that, but let's just say they discussed it over a cup of tea or two, shall we?))
"Alexander! I've been looking for you for days. We still have yet to organize the Risbanian Gravball Association!" Yillik said, embracing his friend. Jordan jumped.

"I can help!" he shouted. Yillik laughed.

"That's right! You're the best Gravball player in Green Sun! We'll sit down after the party and organize, then, shall we?"

After much laughter and discussion, Alexander led them to an armored limo. Jordan was the first in, and he spotted and old friend.

"Shaku? What are you doing here?"

The eight-foot alien stopped staring out the window and turned to see Jordan. The Elite let out a big laugh.

"I wouldn't miss this for the world, Jordan, Besides, perhaps I can establish a few Mosques here, depending on the Risbanian population's religious belief. My previous attempts to start a Neo-Islam sect on Earth has been largely unsuccessful. I'm hoping that the people of Risban will be a tad more curious."

"I don't believe they've ever actually seen an eight foot alien before."

"And they shouldn't expect to. I have many followers who are completely human ready to spread our word."

Jordan smiled and stared. This was the first time Shaku actually combined religion and politics. He was doing his job. But Jordan knew he had a lot of work.

Jordan turned his head and realized Alexander was staring at them.

"Shaku here is the leader of the third section of our goverment. To keep the theocratic nuts happy in United Cultures they developed, in addition to the other two sections, the Theocratic side. Green Sun adopted the trinary system after our civil war and Shaku was the only alien to actually meet the prophet that founded his religion, Neo-Islam. He's a great polititian and extremely loyal to Green Sun and his religion. He's just a tad intimidating."

"Monkeys!" Ishmael randomly yelled. Earnest jabbed him with a siringe and injected him with his medicine. He stopped spazzing and calmed down. To Alexander he said,

"I have to inject him with this every four hours to prevent him front going completely insane. Natasha is really hopeful Jordan here can find that 'Special someone' so Green Sun won't be run by a madman."

There was an awkward silence.

"Well are we going to go or what? The longer we sit here the less time my men have to celebrate! As soon as we get to the Palace all of the soldiers stationed here are going to take part in the festivities, except for the Green Angels. They'll be perorming an Air Show."

"Righty-oh, ole' chaps! O'er to the Palace we go!" teh driver announced. He slammed on the gas and they sped off.

"Can you slow down JUST A BIT?"

"Righty-oh!"

Torches burned brightly in the darkness, throwing inconsistent orange light over everything nearby and casting eerie, flicking shadows around certain parts of the large room.

The marble floor was elegant, obviously laid by a professional. It was cream in colour, smooth and some coloured tiles came together to form a pattern. At the centre of the marble-covered floor was a large red rug, upon which a wooden desk was placed. The desk was a large, old-fashioned one, made from a wood which looked very much like mahogany only with a lighter tint. A series of papers littered the top of the desk.

A man in dark brown robes sat on a wooden chair behind the desk, writing with a feathered quill vigorously. A fire raged behind him in the open hearth, warming him as he wrote. What he was writing was not clear, as Taerkasteni was a language which only the Druids could put down on paper and read. He seemed very interested in whatever it was, though.

Another man in a similar robe walked calmly across the white floor, his hooded head looking down and his arms joined across his chest. He stopped in front of the desk, and bowed slightly. The Druid at the desk stopped writing and looked up slowly.

"Brother Darkon," he said. "What brings you to my chamber at such a late hour?"

Druid Darkon had been found guilty of acts of sadism and greed many days earlier. He had been demoted to a servant, and he was sworn to complete silence for a whole year as punishment for his acts. Instead of answering, he pulled a scroll from his robes and gently placed it down on the desk, bowing his head once again.

Druid Damaar reached over and took the scroll, unfurled the rough paper, and read the handwritten text that graced its uneven surface. Talk of a festival of unnatural indulgence, a chance for the rich to enjoy their hoardings. Still, the Grand High Druid had been clear in his desire to relate with foreigners on a friendly level more often in the future. This was an opportunity to do just that.

"Thank you, Brother Darkon," Damaar nodded solemnly. "You were right to bring this to my attention. Now, attend to your cleaning duties."

Darkon nodded and walked out of the room. Damaar sat thoughtfully in his chair for some time, pondering all manner of things. He watched the hypnotic dancing of the flames for some time before dipping his quill into a pot of ink and setting to work on a new piece of paper. He wrote this in the only other language the Druids took the time to learn; English.

Alexander Perkins of Risban,

I write to you on behalf of the Druidic Council to formally request invitation to your esteemed nation, to partake in this event of which news has spread so rapidly. We would be honoured to send representatives of the Council to your nation for this occasion. I also congratulate your Emperor for his bonding, and wish him many happy years in the future.

I hope that you will respond to our request positively.

Most sincerely,

Druid Damaar of Taerkasten

Damaar held the paper beside the open fire behind him to dry the ink, and then wrapped it around a piece of fine wood. He tied it firmly with a red ribbon and left it on his desk, to be delivered by messenger the following day.

The limo soon arrived at the Palace where a Green Sun and a Risbanian orchestra sat. Ishmael pushed his lovely wife out of the Limo and the bands started playing their respective anthems. Green Sun's anthem was just recently composed and was specially written to be playable while Risban's was at the same time. One after another, the Green Sun Royal family stepped out and headed to the main entrance to the palace. Yillik remembered the riots and how he and his team threw tear gas towards these gates not too long ago trying to subdue them and smiled. He loved Green Sun, but he loved Risban even more.

The Grand Imperium of Risban would be more than happy to have representatives from Taerkasten present at the Emperor's party. Feel free to bring up to thirteen people to the party. Even more may join in the festivities taking place throughout our capital.

~Alexander Perkins, High Minister of Foreign Affairs~

Imperial High Guards lined the stairways and halls, dressed in their ancient Roman-like centurion armor (http://www.voulgaropoulos.com/FR/PHOTOTHEQUE/PAYS/ITALIE/images/centurion.jpg), save for their capes being green instead of red. They stood everywhere, protecting the delegates and leaders. They did seem a bit antsy about Shaku. They weren't use to seeing such things. The Risban Imperial News Network explained Shaku's appearance to the public as he being either an advanced robot or someone is a very good costume.
They felt no need to tell the people of Risban that there was life past Earth.

Perkins arched an eyebrow as he led the Green Sun Royal Family up the marble stairs. "Gravball? Well, that's not my specialty... I'm sure that the Ministry of Sports and Recreation has some extra money since baseball was just cut from the budget.... And concerning Jordan's interest in finding a special someone, there are many suitable ladies present here thisevening."
The Foreign Affairs Minister led them up to the Emperor and new Empress, smiling. "Sir and Madame, it is my pleasure to announce the Green Sun Royal Family."

Emperor Scorpius smiled, standing to greet his long-time friends. The nation of Green Sun had been one of Risban's closest allies ever since Scorpius took over, and he was always pleased to welcome them. "My good friends," the Emperor said, smiling as he embraced them, kissing Natasha's hand. "It is so very nice of you to come. May I introduce my wife, Countess Nora Courtney."
The new Empress stood, bowing his head towards the Green Sun delegation. She had met several of them now and then, being head of Parliament and all. "Thankyou for coming."

"Brother Damaar," a Druid said, rushing down some marble steps to reach the hooded man who sat at a bench on the courtyard below. "I have a message for you! From the nation of Risban!"

Damaar sat on a marble bench, on a courtyard which was high enough to overlook the entire Druidic Enclave, in all its bright marble glory. Beyond the large limestone walls which surrounded them, the ever-persistent forests of Taerkasten could be seen, with the thatched roofs of the surrounding city just visible over the top of the wall. There was a gentle breeze, but the temperature was still quite high, and the humidity was verging on being uncomfortable. The scent of flowers was quite strong though. The people were celebrating the spring holiday, which involved a lot of flowers.

Damaar stood up as he heard the young Druid, and turned to greet him. "Hello Brother Pelos, thank you." He took the scroll and unfurled it, scanning the contents quickly. He had a lot of work to do today.

"Is it good news, Brother?" Pelos asked enthusiastically. He was a new addition to the Druid Order, having only just passed his apprenticeship. He was easily excited.

"Yes, my friend," Damaar nodded, pulling his hood back and basking in the bright sunlight. "They have accepted our request and granted us an invitation. Brother, please compose a letter telling them that we will begin the journey to their great nation as soon as dawn breaks tomorrow. And give them a token of good will."

"At once Brother," Pelos nodded, clumsily wrapping the scroll back up again. He nodded and turned, scurrying back up the stairs in a hurry. He most liked these new responsibilities he was being given, and obviously didn't want to disappoint anyone.

"And Brother?" Damaar called up to him. Pelos stopped and nearly fell back down the hard steps as he turned to look back down at him. "Would you like to be amongst our delegation?"

Pelos nearly exploded with glee. "Oh yes Brother, I would very much like to come! To be one of the first Druids to leave Taerkasten in hundreds of years... yes please, Brother!"

"Then you shall," Damaar chuckled. "Now get to work, Brother."

Pelos jumped back into action, and jogged off to the study to compose a letter.

Alexander Perkins of Risban,

Brother Damaar sends you many thanks for accepting his request, and is most looking forward to meeting your people. He sends his assurances that he will begin his journey to your great nation tomorrow at the break of dawn, after the Spring Festival has concluded.

As a gesture of our goodwill, we present to you a golden leaf; it is our symbol of peace and goodwill.

Most thankfully,

Druid Pelos of Taerkasten

Pelos checked through the letter carefully, and nodded when he was sure there were no mistakes. He had not long learned to write English, and he didn't want to get it wrong. As he wrapped it up, he made sure that a paper-thin, golden leaf-shaped object was enclosed securely. He promptly ran off in search of a messenger.

Perkins sent the letter off and looked at the stack on his desk, picking up the one from Tisopea. He frowned, checking his computer and running a backround check on the nation. He quickly scanned the Imperial File, and then wrote up a response.

Imperial Telegram to Tisopea

The Emperor smiled as he went over the reply. "Good." he mummbled softly to himself. Slowly, he rose from his desk, made of fine oak, black laquered, and inlaid with mother of pearl, a gift from his empress as a wedding present.

"Pack your things, my dear." he said to the shadow that had just been cast over him. Sure enough, as he turned, it was his wife. "We're going to Risban for an imperial wedding."

"Good, it would be nice to get out of the palace."

Less than three hours later, they'd boarded a private jet (along with the emperor's two concubines, four bodyguards, two ladies in waiting, and a valet) and were bound for Risban.

The Spring Festival was an explosive display of colour and abundant, natural foods as the people celebrated what seemed to be the most prosperous year thus far. All of the Druids left their various Enclaves to join in with the people.

The following day, Damaar, Pelos, and a few apprentices set off on the long and rather perilous journey to Risban. The most dangerous areas were the no-man's-lands which surrounded the land-locked country. There, a variety of swamps, poisonous creatures and large predators often impeded progress through the dense forests. They made if through though, and began a fascinating tour through civilisations they had never dreamed of, and pollution they had never hoped to encounter. They covered most of the way on foreign, motorised ships, which were infinitely faster than their horse-drawn carts, but they saw enough.

After a long period of time, a convoy of horse-drawn carts approached, with a hooded figure waving enthusiastically.

"Greetings! Druid Damaar called out as they approached. "We are from Taerkasten! We are most pleased to see your wondrous nation for ourselves."

The President's jet aproached the Emperor's airport, three Ameracadian Harriers flew ceremonial escort. It wasn't that the President was worried about safety, Ameracadia loved their airforce and President Warden loved showing them off.

After landing President Warden exited the aircraft followed by Angus Drake, and Father Josephus Septimius, who was happy being back in his native land. The Presidential Guardians hated it when the President did things like this, they felt he made too big of a target of himself too often. Warden was a stuborn man, he didn't worry about security the way his protection team did. When the three men reached the ground Ameracadia's ambassador to Risban, Curtis Baran, was waiting for them. The men greeted each other as the Risban escort arrived.

"Greetings," Damaar said, after shaking his head disapprovingly. "It is a distinct pleasure to be here. I am glad that your Emperor appreciated our token of peace. We have little to give, but what little we do give usually has a meaning. I am Druid Damaar, a member of the Druidic Council of Taerkasten."

He glanced over at Pelos.

"That is Druid Pelos, an assistant to the Druidic Council," he said. "He is a rather new addition to the Order, but I am sure he will curtail his excitement for the time being."

"Hello," Pelos said, holding up a hand.

"These are apprentices," Damaar said, gesturing at the four figures who had stepped down and stood beside Pelos. They too wore long, brown robes made from an old-fashioned, rough material, though they also wore white belts around their waists, probably to identify them as apprentices. "They are undergoing training in our ways to hopefully become Druids one day. You need not address them; they are here only to observe and learn. OOC: FYI Ameracadia has become the Empire of Tidan. Risban must have something big going on in RL right now.

IC: President Warden and his party's limo arrived at the Palace. Warden got out of the limo, the specially trained Redhawk perched on his arm. Warden was a skilled falconer and being so close the prized creatures always relaxed him.

OOC: Sorry everyone! I've been very busy lately. The only reason I'm able to post right now is because this hotel has free wireless internet. Heh.
Note-- The Earthquake (other thread) does not take place until several weeks after this party, so don't worry about that! Heh.
@ GS-- I'll post in your topic right after this.

And please excuse this post; it isn't all too good and descriptive due to the fact that I am indeed busy.

IC:

Minister Perkins smiled, nodding to the druids. "Well, welcome to the Grand Imperium of Risban. I can arrange tours of Risban for you all tomorrow, if you would like," he said, beginning to lead the procession into the ballroom.
A few moments later, they stopped before the thrones of the Emperor and Empress.
"Sir and lady, I present to you Druid Damaar, Druid Pelos, and the apprentices of the Druidic Council of Taekasten. Honored guests, this is Emperor Robinson Antares Scorpius and Empress Nora Courtney-Scorpius," announced Perkins, smiling as he stepped aside and went to get the new arrivals.

Emperor Scorpius smiled at the druids, standing and extending his hand to Damaar first. "Welcome to Risban," he said, a smile still on his face. "We thank you dearly for the gift you sent, and are most pleased that you are able to attend this joyous occassion."

Minister Perkins went to greet President Warden. "Mr. President, welcome to the Grand Imperium of Risban," he said. "We are most pleased to have you as guests, and I am sure that the Emperor will love your friend here." He referenced to the hawk.
After shaking hands with Warden, Perkins gave Father Septimius a friendly embrace.
"So, let's walk slowly into the ballroom. I am trying to space things out so as to not rush other dignitaries," the Minister of Foreign Affairs explained.

Fireworks were set off over the Tebri and Risban Rivers, celebrating the marriage of Robinson Scorpius and Nora Courtney. As the sun began to slowly fall, the entire capital became illuminated with lights and torches as people took advantage of their holiday. They did enjoy a good party.

Before the fireworks went off Earnest had drinken so much he was blind drunk. But by the way he acted it didn't look like he had taken a sip. His son-in-law was surprised to see how well he held his liquor.
"Earnest, you've drunk so much you should be passed out! What the hell are you drinking?"
"Everything. My system is much more advanced than yours since I'm partly cyborg, remember? Hell, I'm so old I should be DEAD! HAHA!"
(Also, if you're at this party then you can post in the 'Jordnaa trips over love' thread.)

"I would like a tour very much," Damaar said, nodding as they followed the Minister inside and through the impressive building.

He bowed his head as they reached the Emperor, seemingly unsure of what to do with Scorpius' hand. The usual reaction in Taerkasten would have been to kiss it or, in the case of the Druids, bless it, neither of which may have been received well.

"It is an honour to meet you, Emperor. The golden leaf? I am glad you appreciate it," Damaar said. "'Tis a token of peace and goodwill. I would have sent some fruits unique to our lands, but I did not want to be responsible for giving a foreign leader an allergic reaction so I decided against that... congratulations to you anyway, and your people if they are so inclined."

Emperor Scorpius smiled, understandingly withdrawing his hand. "The honour is mine," he said to the druid. "And I would be most interested in trying your land's fruit someday. If I like it, perhaps I can have my Minister of Trade figure out with the Druid's Council a trade agreement. We would be more than happy to barter or pay for such delicacies."

Empress Nora Courtney smiled warmly. "Alexander tells me that you are interested in touring Risban. We can have our best limo take you around the city, and then perhaps down to the Bay of Copmol. Such honoured guests will receive exclusive access to various building and items if you so please," she said.

((You're welcome to help out in my new civil war. I have a plan on what'll happen.))
"Oh, of course! I love fireworks! We don't have many in Green Sun, many stores just don't sell them."

"He did WHAT to the President? Are you serious? AND a reporter and his crew? That's it. He's going down. Yes, I know it'll be hard. I don't know, find a way for him to piss off Roach-Busters or something! I want General Homer DEAD! DEAD DO YOU HEAR ME? LAUNCH THE FUCKING ARCHERS IF YOU HAVE TO! Yes I'm giving you permission to fire at our own troops! They killed our fucking president! They're not our soldiers if their first loyalty is to the military! Facists, too? Oh, Muhammad's soul...We're going to need a lot of help..." Empress Natasha closed he cell phone and started to cry. When she was done, she announced the very terrible news.
"Riots have sprung up in Green Sun. General Homer sent riot squads to stop them. Someone threw a grenade and a new group of Nazis attacked the squads. Shortly after General Homer declared Martial Law and killed the President. Green Sun has collapsed into another civil war. Why? Why, Allah, WHY?"
She started to cry again.
"Excuse me a minute," Jordan said to Lady Andromeda. He made his way through the crowd and made his way to Scorpious.
"Sir, Green Sun desperately needs your help. I don't want to spoil your party, but Risban does have troops in Green Sun. And it also seems that the only loyal trrops of ours is stationed here in Risban. I would like to call a meeting with your advisors and Generals, and possibly you. I'm terribly sorry about all this, Scorpious, I truly am. This is to be your night of absolute hapiness and I don't want to spoil it."

Julia Ormiv, the press secretary, groaned as she watched Natasha's small outburst. This was going to be all over the tabloids tomorrow. She instantly began working on several statements.

Alexander Perkins stumbled slightly as he was leading President Warden inside, witnessing the turn of events. He paled slightly. Not only would this jeopardize Risbanian business in Green Sun and endanger citizens there, but it was either annoying or worrying the group of international leaders assembled in the room. The headaches never ended...
"Erm, this way, Mr. President," he said, continuing to lead Warden and his family towards the High Throne.

Emperor Scorpius frowned, his expression nearly unreadable. He looked at the Druids and bowed his head apologetically. "If you would please excuse me. Risban has interests and friends all over the world that must be looked after," he explained. "My wife will answer any questions if you have any. Thankyou for coming."
The emperor leaned over to Nora. "I'll be back soon. I just need to gather the Ministries of War and Defence together. I won't take too long," he whispered. He gave his wife a small kiss on the cheek and then descended from the Place of the High Throne. "If all members of the Green Sun Delegation would please follow me... Jordan, you stay here. Julia would be most angry if photographers got a picture of absolutely none of the Green Sun Royal Family at the party, and you seemed to be enjoying your conversation with Andro. Have fun."
And with that, Scorpius exited via a back hallway, followed by the Minister of War, Defence, and Intelligence, as well as the Green Sun Delegation.

((Sorry I am late))
As the Empress looked out the window of the jet she saw the lights of the festivities.
Darn, she thought, I hope we are not late..

"Do you think we will arrive in time, darling?" she gently asked the Emperor.

"I do hope so. Pilot, are we landing soon?"

"Yes, sir.*ph*This is the High Falcon requesting a landing area, over *ph*."

As the Emperor's Concorde flew threw the sky, the druids and other priests and guests began to sit and buckle their seat belts, preparing to land. The Empress was very excited, she could not wait to see the Wedding ceremony. She loved weddings.

OOC: Quite alright. ;)

IC:

"This is Imperial Airways Control to the High Falcon," came a response. "Permission to land granted. Runway sixteen. An escort will be there to meet you."

And, true enough, a group of limos awaited, one Lictor per each vehicle. Waiting with them was Duke Lowell Stone, the Minister of Transportation. He had been chosen to meet the next group of guests to arrive at the party and transport them to the Grand Ballroom at Imperial Palace.

The Wedding Party
Emperor Scorpius emerged from a hallway, flanked by two Lictors. He had only stepped out for several moments, placing his generals in charge of monitering affairs in Green Sun. Meanwhile, most of the Green Sun Royal Family had been briefed of the situation already and were most likely in the situation room, attempting to save their nation.
The Emperor, however, had a party to get to. He ascended again to the throne, sitting beside his new wife. He smiled, taking her hand as the greetings continued. The world was troubled, but now was a time for celebration.
