This storefront will be filled with cheap 1970's armored vehicles. these weapons are not modern, but are a good alternative for the budding nation.

It's nice that these are being sold, but they're way overpriced for the basic unit.

I'm selling M60A3s for $500k, and those would eat either of these two for breakfast.

I would advise somewhere in the range of $100-200k tops for both designs, unless they're vastly upgraded (ie T-55AM2P), in which case maybe up to $450k. As they stand, you can get much newer and vastly superior tanks for less than half the price.

OOC: Mr. Expert, what are the specs of the T-55AM2P? How does that compared to the PRC's Type 59D upgrade (with ERA and 105mm with ATGM ability)?

OOC: The T-55AMV (aka AM2P in Poland) was the ultimate incarnation of the T-55. Improvements over the basic T-55 included
-NBC protection system (first seen on T-55A, which was the basis for the Type 59)
-Volna Fire Control System (first seen on T-55M), which included the ability to fire the AT-10 missile
-Improved engine, gun stabilization, and sights (first seen on T-55M)
-Additional armor and fire suppression system (first seen on T-55M)
-Addition of ERA to increase turret protection.

Actual armor protection, accounting for ERA, is up to 450-480mm against KE (APFSDS rounds), and 700-900mm against HEAT. The basic T-55 had only 203mm of protection against both kinds.

It's also notable in that the improved fire control system allows the tank to fire accurately on the move (unless upgraded, most 1960s or older units must come to a complete stop to fire accurately).

Compared to the Type 59D, the T-55AMV is most notable for having a weaker gun (though this is as much due to less modern ammunition as anything else), with only 280mm RHA penetration at 2 km compared to 480-510 for the Chinese gun. The Chinese gun is of course based on the British L7, and can get up to 580mm penetration with DU rounds, which is about as powerful as the rounds fired by US M1A1 and British Challenger tanks in the 1991 Gulf War.
The Type 59D has comparable armor, better firepower and fire control, comparable engine and communications, and the Type 59D's ATGM has slightly better range and penetration than the AT-10 (5 km & 700mm VS 4 km & 650mm). However, the T-55AMV is 1970s Russian tech, and the Type 59D has a lot of 1980s and 1990s western tech, so there's a notable disparity, and the Type 59D is going to be a lot more expensive (probably in the range of the $900k you're selling the T-55 for). It would be even more expensive if it had composite armor.

The Chinese are developing ATGMs for 105mm rifled guns as well and there's the new Type 59-125 (export only), which is armed with a 125mm smoothbore.
