The Megalith to Aradorn, Ancient God of the Seas, was finally unveiled as a light biege drapery was smoothly brought down by a system of ropes and twines. As what covered it fell away to the sea below all those who attended the ceremonies gasped. It was beautiful. The first true testimony to Macabee architectural prowess had finally been thrown to the world.
The harbor which it occupied, Macabea City, was already ancient. The core of the merchant harbor still used the two thousand year old spiral design, first used by Carthage in her own harbor. The new Megalith was a welcomed addition to an already mystic city.

The Megalith of Aradron rose six hundred feet in the air, more so with the concrete and titanium base which at the highest, where the feet touched base, rose three hundred feet, giving the total megalith a height of nine hundred feet, almost as tall as the tallest modern building. That itself was proof of the effort put into the construction project, and that itself proved Macabee inginuity in construction.
The core of statue was built of titanium foundations, light yet steadfast, unable to break quickly, and the general lack of earthquakes, or other natural disasters, would give the Megalith a long lifespan. Outside the titanium core was construction grade steel, hardened against fire, which made up most of the insides. However, none of the outsiders would ever see that.
The surface, to the view of bystander looking from the outside, was gilded in pure gold, sparkling in the bright sky. A lens flare formulated along the right breast, where the rays of the sun hit him with all his celestial glory. His strong legs provided support for his upper body, where his torso bended back, and his arms shielded his eyes, as if directly resisting the will of the sun, his father, Faramoth. A crown sorrounded his head, a crown of swords, given to him by his own loyal citizens of the Kingdom of Mons Frednumicus, destroyed by Faramoth in a fit of rage. His eyes, although hidden from most at ground level, were constructed of pure crystal, costing at least thirty million a piece.
It was majestic, and it manifested Jonach's imperial glory, especially as he was the first Emperor in one hundred years. The strong legs were symbols of the strong columns which supported the Empire. The well constructed abdomins evidence of the strength of the Empire. His arms held in defiance against those who only wish the Empire harm. And finally, crown of thorns to prove loyalty. It was the Empire.
For an already beautiful city it would serve as another testament to the Empire. And the Megalith of Aradron would forever stand beside the entrance of the ports of Macabea, looking over those who dared trespass the waters of the imperial city. It was also a sign that although the capital had been moved to Fedala, that the Empire had not forgotten the ancient city.
Jonach turned to his wife, Hypolita, and with a sparkle in his eyes said,"The Empire has again leaped foward my dear."
