[OOC: I know there've been a couple of these lately, but I chose not to employ a numbers system and I've started using these classifications in RPs.]

The Office of External Affairs has released its classification system for countries throughout the international community to determine how each country so named is to be treated. The classification system is below:

Closest Allies: This category describes the closest of the close allies. Besides the standard definition, this category indicates countries that are ideologically similar to Sarzonia and countries that have supported Sarzonia most extensively in the past.

Strong Allies: This category is the next rung on the ladder. It is for countries that also have an exalted place among Sarzonians, but are just not on the level as Closest Allies.

Allies: This category signifies countries that have signed formalised agreements with the Incorporated States of Sarzonia or has directly aided Sarzonia during armed conflict or diplomatic difficulties.

Extended Allies: This category signifies countries that have formalised agreements with Sarzonia; however, this category includes countries that have some degree of tension with Sarzonia or have some ideological issues with the Incorporated States of Sarzonia or vice versa.

Neutral: Self-explanatory. There are subsets: Namely purely neutral; neutral-friendly, meaning no formalised alliance has been signed, but the ISG has generally favourable views on the country; and neutral-unfriendly, meaning that the ISG has generally unfavourable views on the country.

Unfriendly: Countries under this category do not have alliances with or overt trade agreements with Sarzonia. In addition, travel to or commerce with countries under this category is frowned upon. Diplomatic relations with countries viewed as neutral-unfriendly or worse are non-existent.

Hostile: Countries that are in a direct economic or diplomatic conflict with Sarzonia or who have mobilised their militaries in an aggressive manor against Sarzonia are viewed as Hostile.

Enemy: Reserved for direct states of military war with the Incorporated States of Sarzonia.

[OOC: I most likely will not compile lists of countries that are under this category; however, if there is enough demand for me to do so, I will consider it.]

Nice system, but i'll have to agree that it's too cumbersome for the likes of me.

Everonia "We have little official intelligence on the government of Everonia; therefore, our political stance is officially pure neutrality."

Theao "We have limited official intelligence on Theao; therefore, our policy is purely neutral."

Dratheria "We have had little interaction with the government of Dratheria; therefore, we are purely neutral on their government."

Romandeos (IC): "Even though we have not formally signed an alliance with Romandeos, we view them in a friendly light that surpasses extended ally status. We view them as allies." OOC: I still have to get working on those helicopters, especially that gunship. Oy!

Ollieland "Since the government of the Colony of Ollieland has placed several orders at two of our largest companies, we view them in a highly favourable light. Therefore, we view them as allies."

Artitsa "We view Artitsa as strong allies, especially as they have strived to make amends for their earlier government's radical hostility."

Burnsian Desert (IC) "Due to recent diplomatic tensions between our two governments, we view The Burnsian Desert as being neutral-unfriendly." OOC: It's hard to say now that the war where you made those statements has been ignored. Before that, I'd have said allies or strong allies.

OOC: I think the only IC interaction I had with your nation was the purchase of 6 Freedom SD's a few months ago. Also a little OOC stuff in your naval doctrine thread. Other than that, I don't think we've had much interaction at all.

So I won't be surprised if you classify me as "Neutral - unknown" or something. :p
