TAPRES: A Novel Concept Revived!

OOC: As a tribute to the Nations of Granzi and Lindim, I have decided to revive one of my first ideas for an international alliance. While slowdowns and frequent hang-ups due to lack of an administrator presence kept this alliance from ever growing substantially, I hope that this time around things will progress far better.

-A Message from the Central Directorate of Schultaria Prime

With the loss of our closest international allies of Granzi and Lindim, the Nation of Schultaria Prime once again feels alone in the pursuit of peaceful scientific exploration and civil welfare. However, instead of grousing about the losses of our two closest allies, Central Director Elliot Schultz has returned from the Halls of Perpetuity with a dream and a mission to see that their spirit of peaceful curiosity grows and thrives in a new era of humanity.

His proposal has called for the revival and rebuilding of Schultaria Prime's earliest and most ambitious international project: The Alliance of Pure Research and Engineering States (TAPRES). As such, our nation has taken great pains to secure the necessary funding and material required to revive the preexisting Grand Charter and Constitution. We in Schultaria Prime hope that all nations, new as well as existing members, will come together and join in our resolve to see this revival through.

The Alliance of Pure Research and Engineering States

(TAPRES)

What is TAPRES?

-A collection of nations who value the concept of pure scientific research and development for the purpose of improving the livelihood of all nations.
It also serves as a place where nations can exchange demographic information, ask for suggestions on improving specific technologies, copyright various state secrets, and provide charitable assistance to nations who request support.

Who can join TAPRES?

-Virtually any nation with any technological level can join TAPRES as long as they swear to abide by the Alliance's Grand Charter and Constitution to the fullest extent. TAPRES is a group that prides itself in being blind to political ideology as a determent to a nation's development.

What can I gain from joining TAPRES?

-You can gain only as much as you put into the alliance; TAPRES is a group that tries to foster cooperation wherever it can. For a good portion of nations, this might mean a slight increase in technological sophistication; for a rare few it might give their nations a reason for existence beyond military conquest.

Where can I go to join TAPRES?

-Click on this link to visit the TAPRES forum. (http://s10.invisionfree.com/TAPRES/index.php) Take a look around, view the Grand Charter, talk with a few of the members, and see if this alliance is right for you.

Okay, this sounds interesting. How do you deal with admission?

-The admission process to TAPRES is a three part system.
1. Place your application in the Membership Applications Forum of the TAPRES Forums. Any accounts that are waiting to be validated that don't have an application will simply be left to be held by the forum and no action will be taken on the alliance's part.

2. Set up your account to wait for validation (should happen between the spaces of 24 to 72 hours depending on the amount of debate time required to deliberate the account)

3. If your account is validated, sign your name to the official signature thread in the alliance archive forum.

-We hope that you find our alliance to be a wonderfully original concept. Thank you for your time, and we hope to hear from potential applicants soon!

Azazia

The United Kingdom of Azazia found itself linked to the great nation of Lindim, one of the United Kingdom's staunchest allies and friends. In remembrance of our fallen, but far from forgotten friends, the United Kingdom would like to launch a bid to be considered by TAPRES. If your organization finds the UKA acceptable, we would like to sign our names to the charter.

We have recently exchanged embassies with our friends Schultaria Prime and feel this would be an excellent way to strength those ties and to interact with our nations that value science, research and above all peace, as we do.

We humbly submit our application to join

OOC: If any nations wish to join, please post all applications in the forums of TAPRES; as the "Governing Body" has not yet been formed, the first few applicants will be administered and approved by me (I'll try to be as efficient as possible in approving accounts or providing reason as to why membership is denied).

We would like to submit our official application into TAPRES. We are sure that we can lend our fair share of cooperation, and we are persuaded enough that TAPRES will offer us great returns. Thank you for your time.

Have applied to join the forum, will make an official application to join TAPRES once accepted.

OOC: You must make your official application to join within the TAPRES forums; otherwise the "Governing Body" won't know who they're voting for. It's a bureaucratic formality that will help you greatly in proving your good intentions (and prevent arbitrary administrator calls from here on out since TAPRES is supposed to have a kernel of democratic ideals).

For any others who wish to join, here is the sequence of admission.

OOC:

I'm already a member of TAPRES from last Sept. or Oct, I believe. Do all old TAPRES members have the option to join automatically, or do we have to re-register / re-apply? Just wondering so not to make any mistakes with RP'ing.
Schultaria Prime
18-04-2005, 21:31
OOC: You technically can rejoin automatically since you were a former TAPRES member, but for the purposes of bureaucracy it would be nice if you submit your application again and re-sign the charter (just to track the membership).

The people of the Sharina Technocracy thereby affix our signature unto the Grand Charter and Constitution of The Alliance of Pure Research and Engineering States (TAPRES) and all its provisions therein. The Sharina Technocracy shall remain true to TAPRES's directives and shall always pursue the policies of peace as long as these words shall hold value within this alliance.

May our nations support each other in times of need, and strengthen each other through cooperation and pooling of resources. We must stand united, and present one voice aganist those who would seek to destroy progress and the improvement of living standards for all.
