[Reporter] - In the news today, Former Dictator, Premiere Tyrus issued an attack on a naval base in the Northern region of Ascencia. An investigation by Military Police found that a large amout of AK-47's were missing from the Military storage facilities where they were normally kept. Premiere Tyrus, who has begun a change in government from that of a Dictatorship to one of a Democracy was in on the investigation. When the location of the missing weapons were found soldiers from a nearby garrison began a raid at around 10AM this morning. It was discovered a group of Naval Officers who had stolen these weapons were going to sell them to terrorists in a bid to attack the Presidet for making changes in the Government.
The Premiere made a public announcement regarding the assault.
[Premiere Tyrus] - It was a shame to hear of fine officers betraying their country, change has to be made for the country to move on. The process will be a long one but we cannot have these officers commit treason because they want to keep the country in a dictatorship. It is unknown if more have been stolen and sold but a full inventory check is being made as i speak.
[Reporter] - This comes as news of politicians planning a coup was uncovered, the government denies the two events are linked with each other but promises that before it cracks down on terrorism and illegal activities it needs to sort itself out before sorting out anything outside of the government. This is Matthew Johnson reporting you to you the news.
