The crowd had been gathered for almost an hour now in the clear night at Martensheim one of the Capitals of the Martens Kaiserreich, and there was a climate of expectation as National Television moved onto the event. It had been announced that the Kaiser would make a big announcement soon regarding the Reich. The scene was imponent, large flags everywhere, different Marschlieder and Anthems had been sounding for some time. Until then he opened the door of his Palace and with his Top Advisors came out as the Crowd cheered, happy to see him as usual.
Kaiser Martens smiled and made gestures for them to become more silent as he readied the microphone before him and stood up facing the millions.
"Today, My Volk, is a very important day for our Reich. Today, we all begin walking through a new path. For it is this day, April 17 2005 that I will create what is to be called our Silberunion. We have grown in size and we have grown more experienced in many aspects and the Union is going to bind us to many of our Allies to form something of an even greater scale than our Glorious Reich. We shall together rewrite history, and now, stronger than ever, show the world what we are capable of!" Then he continued and began to inform them about more details regarding the silberunion which can be found here: www.geocities.com/silberunion So the people would truly understand. Eventually he finished. "May our Reich last 3000 years!" And a loudspeaker began saying "MARTENS" To which the people replied "HEIL!" and so on... He raised his arm in salute and also the Nationalhymn sounded, Deutschland Über Alles, followed by the Silberunionhymn. He finally retired to his room and smiled, stretching and going to finish the last details..... "A new Era is at hand."
