The Sol System April 16th, 2005

Earth, the Blue Planet of The Sol System. The new front in the war with Hakurabi. This was The Planet the Cassiopeian Invasion Force came to, the target of the Invasion. The Fleet Came out of Hyperspace near the moon of Earth. "We have come sir." said one of the many officers on the Flagship Darth Siddious "Begin the Invasion." Naki, The Dark Jedi Commander said.

Out of the Captial Ships came thousands of Fighters fallowed by The Landing Ships, all heading for Earth.

The Invasion had begun.

The federal union demands you withdraw! Or The UTD will pass a resolution against you! That will result in war. You have 24 hours to comply before the UTD (aka the senate and the president my new ub3r democratic government) send a fleet to crush your attack.

About 12 scouts exited through hyper on the other side of earth. They was cloaked and weaponary was to the very minimal making them even harder to see...The Scouts detected the massive amount of fleets pouring from the Capital ships. The quickly sent the message to the Kiharxis Goverment.


" Earth is currently about to be invaded by unidentifyed military arsenals. " This might be a great opertunity to gain reputation with earth and maybe have some trading rights within this system. However we could try and side with these invaders and own a portion of the earth aswell.." - the scouts transmission ended and the goverment was begining to make a decsion wondering who they should join if the attack was to begin "

Admiral Devros finished this message, and transmitted it across open space towards the hostile ships. His task force had been passing through the system, taking some well-deserved R&R, when the fleet had begun to assualt Earth. He sighed, and relaxed into his chair aboard the Leviathan-class warship Unrelenting Fury. The largest ship in the fleet, she dwarfed even the Soverigen class starships, and they were almost a kilometre long. His XO, Captain Templer, noticed his CO's apparent discomfort,"You alright sir?"

"Yes Number one. I'm fine, I just hope we don't have to commit here."

"All ships report combat-ready, and the Assembly have ordered some of the supply ships passing through to drop by"

"Acknowledged. All we can do now is wait for a response"

Blackened snow on the ground, a few heavy industrial facilities, polluting the nearby area, and a woman in front of it all, not too bothered by the rather low temperatures, according to her rather light outfit.

"This is Miranda Vera Cruz de la Hoya Cardenal, and I'm reporting live from DA Antarctica. The civil war is still raging on, the cataclysm is anything but forgotten, but while Tyranids are ravaging Mars, another pissant alien civilisation with an overall population several magnitudes smaller than the population of earth has choosen to commit suicide by way of attacking the most well-defended planet in the known universe."

The woman, relatively young (At least she looks young, although she could be in her fifties. The excessiveness of cosmetic surgery & genetic therapy in DA knows no borders) turns while the background changes. This is virtual reality, naturally, now, that the networks are save again, and malevolent, virtual entities are drives back into the dark corners of the semi-telepathic informational networks spanning and connecting DA.

Now, the background is... Space, as seen from a few dozen OR floating in orbit. Thousands of ships can be seen, none of them of the supposed alien invader, who is vastly outnumbered and barely visible. Miranda looks disappointed.

"Well... I'm sure they are... Somewhere... The other hemisphere, perhaps? Lets switch... AH! There they are! Well, my knowledge regarding the would-be invaders is limited, so I will possibly have some specialists do the talking..."

The voice faded, but the transmission stood. The (Generally well-educated and quite knowledgeable) Angstian audience knew that they wouldn't actually take part in the conflict. It was but an amusing pastime while the war in DA Sisgardia was still raging, until one of the factions achived clear superiority. And so, discussions started regarding the chances of the alien invaders.

Namely, their chances to survive for longer than five minutes.

And yes, they were decadent enough to enjoy a foreign war while their own (Admittedly distant) relatives were dying.

In orbit, ORDs, OSDs and OCD's, thousands of them spread over a wide variety of orbits, watched with mild amusement.

<OCD 044/02> Well, this doesn't seem to become a long battle... They're attacking without any kind of preperation, while being vastly outnumbered... Despite most earth nations not even taking part in this.
<ORD 225/05> Indeed. I mean, they're not even blasting satellites, stations or the likes. I mean... SDI capacities can be used against ships just as well as against missiles. Well, I guess the first bombgrasers and X ray Lasers will explode soon... Taking a few of their ships with them.

That's not David vs. Goliath, that's an ant vs. a blue whale. In the ocean. And they're sacrificing a good portion of their ground attack force, or so it sems. Sending it in loooooong before they get rid of the standard fleet presences. They will cease to exist like candlelights in a hurricane.

Massive energy swells, as 20 wormholes open near Earth space...

Within moments, 20 ships emerge from the respective wormholes...

The 8 largest ones; TRSS Kali, TRSS Shiva, TRSS Orion, TRSS Thor, TRSS Hathor, TRSS Aphrodite, TRSS Horus and TRSS Anshar; are massive vessels... 3060 meters in length; 640 meters in height and a beam of 1200 meters each...

6 slightly smaller ones; TRSS Hastings, TRSS Saratoga, TRSS Georgetown, TRSS Richmond, TRSS Roanoke and TRSS Montpiliar are 1600 meters in length, 380 meters in height, with a beam of 700 meters...

The 6 smallest ones; TRSS Warner, TRSS Holt, TRSS Alexander, TRSS Zeth, TRSS Rickover and TRSS Stephenson are 1200 meters in length, 200 meters in height, with a beam of 550 meters....

The lead vessel, the TRSS Thor sends a single message to the Cassopeian lead vessel....

Onboard the TRSS Thor....

"Communications, tell the fleet to go to Condition 5, dispatch all available flight wings....." Commands Vice Admiral Mitar.... "Flight Operations, begin launching our fighters.... Tactical... raise shields, deploy armor...."

There is a flurry of 'Aye sir!''s....

Outside, the shields are brought online on all 20 vessels... the 8 largest ones, two redundant shields each.... All of them similarly "grow" a thin layer of armor, as if it were mold....

And fighters begin to deploy from all the vessels.... From rapid-launch tubes outboard of the massive vessels pods, and other deploying from the foreward opening of the vessels handar pods..... and the ships weapons come online...

The Fleet was now orbiting the Earth, The Fighter were now heading for Earth and were to target some of Earth's Cities. The Invasion was now going to start soon as the Landing ships head for The Surface.

an untold number of rift-portals appear as the Terran first armada (100,000 ships strong) and the Terran First army Group drop out of jump. the ships of the 1st army group descend to the planet's surface as the Battlecruisers charge their main batteries and launch their 75 ASF-165C "Wraith" Starfighters. At the same time, the Starcarriers were launching their fighter wings. One launched 200 ASF-238 "Interceptor" Starfighters, another launched 75 TSF-400 "Glory" Nuke Strike fighters and 125 of the elite ASF-172 "Firebird" superfighters. all weapons and shielding systems were activated and set to full power. The Admeral then sent a transmition to the Cassiopians:

The Empire Of Kiharxis slowly began to make military preperations the scouts sent another message saying that the invaders was going to continue their invasion of Earth. Kiharxis goverment was quickly making decsions as the military was getting ready'd however they still didnt know whos side they should join. But in any case they was going to join the battle no matter what.

mean while a fleet of over 40 ships was en route from Wolf 385, several hours after they departed the fleet dropped out of warp, the large sleek fleet, rumbled over to 20 ships that had already formed up, the began going Into formation and heading towards earth at full impulse (I use st ships UFP ships so ..) a general message was sent out from the sovereign class USS Majestic and the akira class USS thunder child,” This is the Federal Fleet, all hostile forces, this is admiral Bester kayborn representing the united states and its government the United Terran directorate, you have violated terran space, and have attacked terran forces, turn back your fleet now!, you have 10 minutes to jump out or begin to if you do not comply we will engage you.

The fleet had formed up behind other ships after the broadcast , the admiral sat back in his chair looking out at the fleet as they moved towards the enemy ships

I'd post longer, but this just doesn't deserve it right now.

To get the number of ships, click on my Factbook (in my sig) and scroll to the bottom. Divide all numbers by three, then divide again by four. The Graviton Destroyer is also in Earth Orbit. And that's the force size I normally keep there.

The DLE fleet, having just dealt with the Sarkaraseta fighters, was not impressed. For one thing, right now their weapons were fully charged and, minus six antimatter missiles, they had all of their projectiles as well. The Graviton Destroyer, after the laughter on the bridge finally died down, responded by powering up the Planet Burner (commonly referred to with the misnomer Planet Buster) and directed the fleet to turn towards this new threat. From the ship came a single reply to the invading force, a reply that summed up how ready the DLE fleet was for this battle.

That reply was (in English), "Bring it, bitches."

The Fleet detected The enemy ships that were coming. The Commander on The Start Destroyer looked at the fleets. "Raise Sheilds!" he ordered.

The Ships raised their sheilds and the Fighters that were still with the fleet, 1,000 Shaman Class Fighters, were ready to fight the enemy.

OOC: It's feasible. DLE itself has probably around 40,000 fighters in its military. A single attack force typically has fighters in the hundreds, while if an entire fleet is attacking you'd be facing at least a thousand fighters from the carriers alone.

Kayborn sighed and sit back looking over to his tactical officer saying “since they failed to comply, open fire all ships!”

The fleet rushed in chagrining up there Phaser arrays and loading there torpedo tubes, all ships began firing up there supped up phasers, powerful beams of orange crimson death flowed out of arrays towards heavy ships, hundreds of Phaser beams could be seen lighting up the night sky, torpedoes stared flowing out in blue, orange ,red ,and yellow pulses from all sides, a war hawk class cruiser maundered in majestically covering Friendly ships as it started firing its pulse phasers, Phaser arrays, and torpedoes, the over all view of the battle was a massive array of fire both in torpedoes and beam fire, as well as pulse Phaser.

The 20 Tekanian vessels begin firing massive suppression fire at the wave of oncomming Cassiopeian fighters, as the Wasp starfighters group up ahead of the Aurora Assault shuttles, and begin throttling forward towards the oncoming wave....

The Captial Ships fired The Plasma Cannons at the enemy ships, like Comets of Doom the Plasma was fired. The Fighters attacked and Fired Repeating Blaster Cannons at the enemy fighter.

The Landing Ships soon started Landing around the Planet, Starting the Ground Attack on Earth. Out of The Landers, Battle Droids Marched out to begin the Conquest of Earth.

The End was now.

The Tekanian Capital ships cut suppression fire as the fighters draw near one-another....

The fighters unleash on the oncomming wave of fires... Their Phase cannons lighting up space with spots of orange light...

about 200 fighters are lost in the initial skirmish...

The Tekanian fleet begins to lurch forward, as the Aurora Assault Shuttles turn and head towards earth for landing, carring their payload of marines and equipment.... The Capital Ships begin to open fire on the Cassiopeian vessels... As their shields spark... occational blasts sparking off small bits of the Tekanian vessels armor....


The Tactical officer turns to VADM Mitar... "Sir, shields are holding for now... Armor still online... we're still well within tollerance for the nanites...."

"Keep the guns hot..." yells VADM Mitar...

Federal ships continued there fire larger vessels firing beam after beam of constant fire, torpedo’s and phasers rushed out of every ships filling the sky with crimson fire, quantum photon and plasma torpedoes also rushed out in massive volleys , 2 smaller ships were completely destroyed by plasma fire there fiery husk floating off as they were hit, a medium ship was also hit visible fire could be seen on the hull as the shields gave way , but it continued to fire even though it was dammed . with the federal fleet laying on mass fire and federal transports moving to intercept enemy forces to they could meet them, fighters were launched from several flag ship SF-35 JSF’s and SF-16 fighting star flacons raced out the sun gleaming on there state of the art metallic hulls as the rushed to intercept enemy fighters .

Admiral kay borns ship was hit several times but not to badly dammed :

Kay born as consoles blinked and sparked he was yelling “keep the fire up make sure not to hit friendly forces!!!, I want those fighters to cover us and other fighters.
The ops officer was taping his blinking beeping console like mad trying to deal with several things at once as sparks flew all over the Smokey bridge.

The DLE ships sat calmly as the barrage came towards them. It appeared, for a second, as though they were going to let themselves be hit. That appearance was quickly squashed when the fleet, as a whole, FTL-dodged the barrage and then broke into a scatter formation, cannons firing at the invaders. The Graviton Destroyer moved into position and locked on the center ship of the fleet, firing its Planet Burner cannon at that position. As the gravity began to build in that area, the ship kept up its concentration.

The ships, meanwhile, were not firing missiles yet or launching fighters. It seemed as though they were waiting on something...

Three DLE FTL jumps away from Sol:

"Sir, the previous shift appears to be firing at something. Your orders?" Leutent Orbikal asked.

"Prepare the engines for leapfroggin'. Once we are there, we'll come up behind the invading fleet and catch them in a crossfire. Those mejnots want to take on DLE, they get the joy of half a fleet on them," Leutenant-Major Boraka said.

OOC: What? You thought I kept the same ships in orbit all of the time? Earth doesn't have repair or refueling facilities for me.

The Ships continued to fire a the enemy, Torpedoes, Turbolasers and Plasma Cannons fired heavy against the ships. a few of the Fighters from Earth Came to join the battle, launching anti-Captial ship Torpedoes at the main Ships of the enemy fleets.

Post Loses, oh, and You better to something about The Ground Troops.

Ship continued to fire several vessels were hit and destroyed over all 4 ships were taken out small ones 2 medium ships were damaged and 1 medium ship was destroyed, there torpedoes and Phaser beams light up I a crimson ballet of fire, pulses of torpedoes flew out of the tubes with massive volleys.
Mean while transports had touched down rather quickly releasing mechs, troops, and amour the troops and mechs rushed ahead on the windy fields ,as the fleet on top fired every thing they had at all enemy ships.

Unlike what they expected, the DLE ships were mostly unharmed. The turbolasers, which DLE rightly scoffed at, were allowed to pass through DLE shields, where their energy was dissipated across the hull with only a heating of the metal to signify it. The torpedos, however, were another matter. Six ships had lost shields, twelve had hull breaches, and four were disabled because of them. So far, though, all of the ships had been X80s, meaning the majority of the firepower remained intact, though several of the battlecruisers were showing signs of armor stress due to the heating of their hulls. The rest of the ships hid behind the others, ducking around to take shots and back again, while letting the mainline ships do the brunt of the fighting.

However, another problem was creeping up: It was close to time for these ships to head back to the Dead Zone, and as such they were low on fuel. And this sustained fighting would quickly drain that too far for them to be able to make the trip, forcing rescue operations. The Graviton Destroyer was in the worst situation, its fuel being expended at the highest rate due to the usage of the Planet Burner. It would be put in the worst situation if backup did not arrive soon...

OOC: Yes, I do have the defenses against energy weapons this says. Check my technology threads. Also, yes, I am being incredibly lazy in this one.

"Red Alert! Cassiopean Forces in orbit around... Earth?"

"A very rash move, I presume."

"Send a fleet to blow their so-called 'armada' from the sky."

Three Seperate Battlegroups, each identical in makeup, materialised behind the Cassiopean Armada.

The Battlegroups began moving to assault the Discworlds, each firing their entire missile complements before breaking away to the all-too-obvious blind spots of the Star Destroyers.

Whilst on Earth, Point-Defense Frigates were deployed to shred the low-quality Battle Droids on the ground.

OOC: The Discworlds should be destroyed by that, which can be inferred from This Thread (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=400224). He explicitly stated that the discworld that rose from his homeworld was the largest of its kind, and it fell after ten full salvoes of anti-matter torpedoes.

The Battlegroups comprise of: 12 Shield Cruisers, 1 Sensor Cruiser, 4 Point-Defense Frigates, 2 Logistical Freighters, and 10 Battlecruisers.

The Battlegroups are justifiable, due to my recent mobilisation (I had to, I blew up his homeworld - Literally), and so long as they don't get swatted, it should work. If some do, well, try again!

The Battlecruisers are approximately 400m in Length, have four 3-barreled 750Mw Plasma Turrets, and a 20-torpedo rack of Anti-matter Torpedoes.

The Point-Defense Frigates are fitted with both Energy-Dissipators and Kinetic Shields, and armed with a total of 12 Gatling Mass-Drivers. They are approximately 100m in length, and can be used near a planet.

There are fifteen frigates in a group sweeping the planet for battledroids.

Sirzan Aktei was only walking by when the adjutant waved for his attention and showed him the sensor readings. Sirzan gave a couple thoughtful chews on the apple slice he still had in his mouth and raised an eyebrow.

"Dumb. Reeeeeeally dumb. I'm gonna go get General Lear on the horn."

"WELL! I don't know about you, but we hardly ever use our war droids. They'll arrive shortly, and I'll have the Archonal Support fleet transit in to mop up. I think we still have Earth on Hard Transit."

"Send some StarSpiders too. I missed the unveiling cermony and want to see them in action."

Approximately six DawnRunner battlefleets materialized into existence in orbit over a decidedly non-Godulan Earth, accompanied by a pair of wickedly armed Widowmaker Siege Dreadnoughts. Fighters were launched as soon as transit was completed, releasing swarms of Starbolts that split their forces to achieve two purposes:

1) Pummel the ground assault forces mercilessly

2) Knock out the invading enemy fleet

Also materializing into existence were several enormous drop pods approximately two kilometers in length. Heavily shielded and armored, they were meant for swift insertion into hostile theatres. As soon as they landed, they would open forth and veritable clouds of Godulan combat droids as vicious as they were armed, which was heavily.

Many thousands of the 12 foot tall cougars billowed into formation from the drop pods, accompanied by a group of what looked like blade-legged siege scorpions, immediately setting out for the nearest complements of invading forces with orders to rend and destroy.

A few thousand Suicide Squid Torpedo bots emerged from the lone drop pod that made aquatic entry. Neither land, sea, air, nor depth of space would be safe from this point on.

As the drop pods made their landings, the Godulan fleets turned towards the invaders and commenced full and unremitting anti-capital ship bombardment, sending in fighters and torpedo boats to do point work while the Widowmakers, DawnRunners, and Battleships (2, 6, and 30 respectively) and god knows how many secondary cruisers and carriers, cut loose with simultaneous salvos on the enemy fleet.

Cougar Battle Droids - Catlike droids, 8-feet-tall at the shoulder, heavily armed and armored and capable of running at speeds in excess of 90 mph. Equipped with claws, teeth, a deployable assault blaster, and a mouth-mounted flame thrower.

Suicide Squid Torpedo Bots - Submarine droids, shaped like a giant squid with similar movement patterns to disguise its automated nature, comes equipped with four rocket torpedoes that travel approximately 200mph underwater due to friction reduction features. Max speed approximately 30mph.

Starspiders - Big. Bad. Nasty. 30m tall Siege borgs equipped with 4 siege class flux cannons, a prehensile tail mounted with a riot shield and a heavy assault blaster, and bladed spider legs. Heavily armored and moderately shielded. Think of these as the tanks.

Godulan robotics in general is recognized as among the best due to assistance from several leaders in the field (Emp Fenix) who up and just gave us their tech specs early on in godular's history. We make no claims on being THE best, but we ain't exactly wimps in the field, ifyannowhat'msayin'...

Down on the surface, the frigates were approaching the first transport drop zone.

Federal Ships then streaked in to the enemy fleet firing, powerful phasers and torpedoes, 2 ships had engaged there ablative amour, and loaded there special Transphasic torpedoes, the ships targeted the largest capital ships and fired the phasing torpedoes right at them several of them whooshed out of the tubes of the armored ships, as the rest of the fleet light up the sky with blue , crimson , yellow, and red blasts of energy and torpedoes going evry witch way , 4 more ships had warped in 2 galaxy class ships 1 refitted galaxy class (all good things variant), and a Kelvin class, the ships moved in from the side the Kelvin and refit galaxy charging up there main cannon and firing, in a huge blast of energy several times enormous amounts of power flew out of the cannons as the other ships moved and fired there Phaser arrays and torpedoes at several enemy ships.

The Droids attacked the enemy that was attacking. It seemed The Ape Faces on this world would give them a fight. Blasters fired, The Tank Droids Blasted at were the missile came from, and one person, wearing a black cloak, Thai Rei, Dark Jedi, looked at the Droid Army. "Find the attacker and kill them." she ordered, and she pulled out a Lightsaber and Cut at a tree.

A Droid Army was on the March to attack a Earth City called "LA" and this Army had Spider Walkers, thick armor and turbo Blasters, The Walkers would make sure any force sent against them would face something more deadly then a droid.

2,000 Fighters from Earth soon head to attack the Hakurabi frigates, and these were Republic Class Fighters, armed with the VER-89 Anti-Starship Missile, and 500 of the Fighters were Poilted by Dark Jedis

The Droid Army Near LA was moveing good......till they were fired on by TFU troops. The Commander, a Battle Droid called RT-89 ordered The Spider Walkers to attack the enemy Troops. Lucky, Shaman Fighters were also in the area, and he ordered them (1,000 Fighters just to let you know.) to bomb the enemy.

The Cassiopeia Galaxy

another Fleet was being readied, this time to attack The Home system of Hakurabi, and all with New types of Ships. The Flag Ship of the fleet was a Eclipse Class Star Destroyer, the plans Stolen by The Dark Jedi, 35,000 Meters long it was the biggest ship in the Cassiopeian Navy, the others were 8 Allegience Class Super Star Destroyers, 5 Executor Class Super Star Destroyers, 12 Nimbala Class Gunships and 3 Sovereign Class Super Star Destroyers. The Fleet also had thousands of Black Moon Class Fighters and 200 Landing Craft.

The Droid Army that it was to carry had 178 Divisions with 676,000 Droids(Battle Droids, Destroyer Droids, Tank Droids, and the New Super Battle Droid.) and 56 Walkers in each Division.

The Fleet soon entered the Wormhold and was gone, heading for the eage of the Milky Way, the it would Jump in to Hyperspace and head for the Homeworlds of the Hakurabi.

Red, orange, yellow.. almost a Rambo of glory rushed out of federal ships as the refit galaxy classes fired there massive main cannons at enemy SSD’S, a few nebula classes started firing shield disruptors and using point defense phasers, to reduce the chances of torpedoes hits and to weaken enemy ships, one of the nebula classes shot out a crimson blue shot of energy directed in a wide beam, this was a soloron beam used to disrupt sensors and targeting scanners of enemy ships .

Vice Admiral Torkov couldn't believe her eyes. In the little time since the Sarkaraseta ships were lost, an entire fleet had taken up attacking the planet. And what was worse was that they were opposed by a coalition that included the Sarkarasetans who struck against Sarkaraseta. Then, she got an idea.

"Major, open up communications with the fleet attacking Earth. Tell them we are willing to help them if they are willing to give us the land to build a base on. Also, tell them our numbers are so small because we came here to take care of a fleet now joined with the others defending the planet. Still, our firepower should be enough," Torkov said.

The Reinforcements were outside the Galaxy and now Jumping into Hyperspace, they will appear outside the system then with sublight enegies, head for Earth.

The Invasion Force that was heading for The Hakurabi Home system also came out of the Wormhole and jump into Hyperspace. The enemy homeworlds will fall to the two front attack.

Back in LA, The Droid Army charged at the TFU troops, back up by Fighters fireing on the enemy, The Droids fired Rocket Launchers at the TFU Tanks as The Tank Droids Blasted at the troops.

This was going to be a long war.

At that moment, the DLE backup ships arrived, putting 1/6 of DLE forces in the Sol system. The ships then saw the Sarkaraseta ships and sent a communication back to Terran, asking for more backup. Then, with fighters deployed, they flew in behind the Cassiopeian fleet and opened fire, cannons firing the entire way.

Meanwhile, on Terran:

"Sir, we have reports from the front. Apparently, Sarkaraseta is attempting to join in. We think they are on the side of the opposition. Shall we send in the attack fleet?" Orbez asked.

"Yes. Have the fleet in Earth Orbit retreat back here and the ships guarding Terrasot move in to attack. Tell the attack fleet to leapfrog and not bother stopping. They can conserve fuel when they are finished," Enigma said.

"Sending the orders now," Orbez said.

Back at Earth:

Suddenly, the DLE ships in orbit over Earth changed their tactics. DLEF20s were launched, which grabbed the disabled DLE ships (now numbering 20) and dragged them into the shields of the others. Then, using their engines, the ships jumped to out of the system, well on their way back home.

At that moment, the plan of the Graviton Destroyer was revealed. The field of gravity it had been building up in the center of the Cassiopeian fleet, now having nothing to stabilize it, lost integrity and sent out a shockwave of energy at all nearby ships, dissipating long before it reached Earth Orbit. The hope was that it would do enough damage to convince the enemy fleet it was in trouble.

That is not to say that they were finished. As, quickly closing at what could only be called insane speeds, was enough of DLE's forces to take out a small empire. And they were comming in with only one mission in mind: Destroy the Cassiopeians and the Sarkaraseta ships.

OOC: 20 disabled, 40 with hull breaches, the rest with almost no fuel. And now all of them are gone.

ooc:I've just checked out the first page, and I don't know if this issue has been raised but the ultra star destroyer is stupid. TCG couldn't build that, the crew requirements alone would disqualify them. That would require the entire military force to crew it, and maintenance would cripple the conomy, in short, a comlpete godmode. especially when you look at the Eclipse next to it. STUPID.

OOC: He's invading Earth. That alone is grounds for a mass IGNORE. However, we decided to play along. Let him have his fun. If any of us really wanted to raise a stink, I suspect we would have before now.

OOC: Especially the economy of a jan 05 nation

The Godulan vessels funneled power into their shields as they continued to pump more and more firepower into the invading fleet. As of yet, they had remained largely unnoticed by the invaders as they were too busy dealing with the defending forces, which even now far outnumbered the invading forces and continued to pump more and more firepower into them. As a result, by keeping the ships on an overlapping shield spread, the fleets' shields had remained largely undented by extraneous counterfire.

On the Earth the Cougars and StarSpiders finally encountered the initial hordes of enemy droid forces. Initial estimates showed that the forces were roughly even in number.

A bad thing for the enemy.

Under cover of StarBolt wings slamming firepower into the enemy formations, and the occasional Orbital strike on key points of interest, the Godulan droids surged into the enemy ranks like a lightning fast blanket of teeth, claws, guns, and ferocity.

The Cougars would feed today. They would feed well.

OOC: Actually, this whole thing is supposedly a ploy to drag out every godmodder and whatnot in all of NS. Just leaving a heads up on that. I'd love to help you DLE, but I won't do it in this kind of thread.

This wasn't going good for the Cassiopeian Invasion Force on Earth, three enemy Ground Forces were fighting The Droid Armies and beating most of the larger divisions. The Fleet was getting kicked like hell, and the Reinforcements might not help them in time. Only one card had to be put into play, The Invasion Force heading for The Home System of The Hakurabi, and when that happened, it might force the allied fleet to head off to defened the system.

but The Reinforcements, luckly, jumped out of Hyperspace outside the Sol System and head to Earth at full speed. The Fighters were already heading to attack the enemy, they were armed with Anti-Starship Torpedoes and Repeating Blaster Cannons.

Of all of the small atomospheric corvets in the base 30 of them were slowly rising and began to move out to the most likely areas of the Shadow Realm to be attacked. Agents Nox, Knight, and Lancer sat in one of the shuttles that unlike the bulky corvets roared across the terrain at the head of the pack. "So they want us to move in against some fucktard who decided that Earth was the right place to attack?" Albel Nox said to the other agents in the shuttle. "Looks that way. At least it beats another boring day of mass paper work and training," Amber Knight replied as she tied her hair back and began to look over her sniper rifle for the third time. "Well at least we don't have to sit around home and play 'protect the president' like last the international threat," Angel Lancer added as she reached for one of the Dragoon supply packs and began to fish out her gear.

I'll start with the LA assault...

The 12 Frigates moved in, and turned broadside to the invading troops. The Federal Troops were the primary focus of the droids (What kind of idiot thought that one up?), and they used this to their advantage.

The Frigates opened fire, the first sign of their presence being large shards of metal being flung through (at) several of the droid tanks.

In Orbit...

The DLE attack was unexpected, and all three battlegroups were rocked by it.

They were suddenly placed in the middle of the firing zone, though all three of them had to rip through a star destroyer to get there.

The heavy shields surroungind each of the battlegroups showed noticable signs of damage, as the fleet attempted to move back out to the rear, where the star destroyers could not fire.

The discworlds were still under bombardment from both plasma cannon and torpedo, however.

OOC: Well, well, well. It appears that Earth is under attack. Fortunately, I have forces in this galaxy that wasn't touched by the war against the Sith, as well as my colony Coredia to help out.

An Elite-class Star Destroyer Squadron, code-named Destructor drops out of hyperspace outside the SOL System and used their conventional engines to travel the rest of the way at high relative speeds. In this fleet, there are five Imperial Star Destroyers (two mk II, two mk III, Elite-class Destructor), two Missile Cruisers, three Victory Star Destroyers, four Strike Cruiser and Lancer Cruiser escorts, four Nebulon-B2 frigates and six Wolfpacks (1 Corvette, 4 gunships each). The squadron was returning from a stint with Dratheria in this galaxy (which ended up with peace) and decided to drop by Coredia to give the crew some leave.

They won't be having any leave for a while.

Jedi Master Emily Rydo, member of the Council, was in overall charge of the fleet, and she was not pleased with what she's feeling in the Force.

"Ma'am? We got contacts at Earth. Seems to me that there's a fight going on here."

"Who?" Emily reached out across the cosmos to spy on Cassiopeia's fleet with the Force.

"Uh, appears to be Federal Union, DemonLordEnigma, as well as several other fleets fighting an aggressor." Sensors reported.

one of The Starfighters landed near the Battle, and the Pliot came out. He was wearing a Black Cloak, in his hand was a Lightsaber, he turned it on and head for the Battle. he was going to kill some humans.

These Aliens are dumber then I thought Gati Nmaian thought as he jumped away from the enemy fire. The Dark Jedi Fired Force Lighting at one of the enemy ships.

56 Fighters attacked the others, fireing on the enemy with Anti Starship Torpedoes with Mini-nuke Warheads on them, if the Dark Jedi didn't kill them, the radation would.

The Second Fleet

OOC: Thanks for the heads up. I'm mostly posting in this because it makes an interesting side diversion from the Sarkarasetan War.

As it is, the DLE fleet may be distracted from this battle by Sarkaraseta. After all, those two have a war to fight that is more important to them.

I don't trust the dates anymore. Sarkaraseta is supposedly a Jan 2005 nation, and yet it has close to a billion people already. However, in the case of TCG, the date is accurate.

One big wormhole open and 10 Imperial Battlecruisers exploring this galaxy end up in the sol system. Comodore Levits watches the fight in surpise and keeps his patrol away from the fighting fleets.

Immediately, Jedi Knights, unknowing about the Purges back home flew out to engage the enemy in battle as the larger Star Destroyers opened fire with turbolasers and missiles (Victories and Mk III). Lancers and Wolfpacks sped forward to engage enemy fighters while Strike Cruisers and Neb-B2 Frigates hung back to defend their larger capital ships.

Meanwhile, it has taken hours but the Masaki battlegroup has finally been diverted in range of the Californian coast. Super Tomcats (F-14Ds), Super Hornets (F/A-18D) and Sea Falcons (F-22) lifted off and began attack runs upon the droid army, which was oddly similar to the ones in the movies. Helicopter carriers and battleships as well as subs steamed closer to the coastline as they tried to get within range to deploy Blackhawks, Super Apaches, Comanches, and Tomahawk cruise missiles. All in all it is clear that Coredia has joined battle against the forces of Darkness!

10 planes were downed by the counterattack. Advanced technologies were all that kept the waves of planes in the air as they loosed their ground weaponry and returned to the sky to duel their enemies.

Meanwhile, the second wave of tomahawk missiles went in to slam into the droid armies. Not long after, helicopters, refueling in midair halfway to land, made the trip over the coast and they too, began to assault the beaches, aiming to deal with the droid tanks.

The final wave was and always will be, the Marine Corps and the Army in armored landing craft, just half an hour away...

Meanwhile, as the main fleet ties up the enemy, assault LAAT gunships backed up by the Victories Stormsword and Iceblade began to move towards Earth itself. The Jedi Knights and Marine Corps have begun the ground assault and will soon meet up with their Earthside counterparts.

Darth Bankai felt the Jedi in this System, he knew what was to come, "Make a short Jump near Earth." he ordered. The Fleet Jumped into Hyperspace, then came out and was now near Earth. "Send The Fighters, and Full Power to the Plasma Cannons he ordered.

The Droids on the other hand were under attack, Nmaian led them on a attack against the TFU forces and the CoreWorld Forces. The Fighters contined their attack, fireing on The Planes, The Hakurabi Ships, and the sea ships.

"Interesting," the Fleet Admiral chuckled. "Calculate agressor success probability." She was lying on her cot, eyes closed, linked into her ship's ambient data net. Through it, she had access directly to the FDK's communications and information system, the Kingdom's own 'internet' of sorts.

"Success probability point-zero-three plus." A cryocyborged brain somewhere tallied up the various influential factors, conferred with other gambling machines, and produced a result.

Somewhere over Terra, technically over the Central Pacific, seven ships of what was five years before the Weyrik Sol Fleet. One was the WSSDF Twilight Mourn, the others were in various stages of repair. A slightly larger group was somewhere between Terra and Mars, generally heading towards that planet for political rather than military reasons.

The admiral switched to a news feed, keeping the visual off. Her eyes were still sore from the new visual displays in the CIC. New equipment always had its problems.

"With the Tyranids still fighting on Mars, this state has decided to assault the most heavily armed and armored planetary system with a fleet unworthy of even the decadent Siege Fleet deployed against the Empire a century ago. Whether or not the invaders succeed, it is clear that they will most probably face significant losses. The admiral sighed. Not even the best cyborg gambling machines could predict all the outcomes of a battle, much less a war. Granted, even her small fleet was more than a match for what the aliens had, near as she could tell.

On both known war fronts, Cougars and Starspiders surged forward with amazing viciousness and firepower, pummeling the enemy as they catapulted themselves forward with reckless abandon.

Enemy fire was moderate, taking down some of the cougars least favored by circumstance. The Starspiders knew that the dead cougars doubled as grenades however, and were quick to hurl the metallic corpses into the enemy formations with self destruct protocols timing down.

Meanwhilst, up in orbit, the second war fleet was acknowledged with nothing more than a grim nod, and word was sent out for a massive support force to come in to trip the enemy reinforcements up. A request was also made to commence allocation of no less than ten Red Rain torpedoes.

Within the space of an hour, the Godulan presence over Earth would more than triple in a single shot.

For the moment though, three battleships had been overwhelmed, despite the overlapping shield wall the Godulan vessels employed, and were pulled from the battle by support craft in order to commence repairs. It would be a while before they came back into the fray in any manner whatsoever.

Sitting at his desk reading his book Galeel Stryer listened with amusement to the random news reports. Suddenly one caught his attention. An attack on the third planet in the Sol System by a galaxy with a population not even breaking 500 million. The planet had hastily erected defenses and appeared to be faring well. Knowing full well that the planet could defend itself, and that he might be needed here, but that...aw fuck it, lets go

Moments later there was only empty space in orbit of the Einhauser homeworld where the Hunter's Mercy had been before. In that same blink of an eye, the Hunter's Mercy appeared in Earth orbit near to the battle taking place.

Hey ya'll, why don't you stop your fighting? I mean come on, it is just Earth. One planet? Out of how many? Why don't you all go find some un-inhabited planet and blow it up, or colonize it? And if that don't work for you, I have been itching to test out this new ship here. Heard she packs quite a punch. So...cease-fire?

With that said, he returned to his book waiting for at least one response to his message.

Thai was having the time of her life, she charged at the enemy with her active lightsaber, choping through the enemy ranks. For the resistance, it was about to get even worse. Two Tri-Walkers, walkers walking on three legs, came crashing though the trees, tentacles armed with maces. They attacked, hitting anything unlucky enough to be in the way.

~A single commando team crept into position as the sounds of the battle spread through the forest. Explosions rocked the terrain as a single, mechanized quadruped walker arrived on the scene. It blasted repeated holes into the side of one of the Tri-Walkers with its autocannon, critically damaging the outer casing and motor system. The other Tri-Walker turned on the new threat, smashing the mech with a flurry of mace strikes, the pilot crushed in the cabin.
A single bullet cut a deep gash in Thai's right leg as the a commando team struck at her. The moment of pain passed quickly enough for her to dodge the second shot. Her blade cleft through a launched net that came from behind her as she bolted to the side to avoid a spray from several light machine guns. Her lightsaber bit hard into the arm of an unfortunate commando, burning it and cauterizing the wound before she swung again, taking off the man's head.~

Outside the fleet makes their turn, bringing their port sides to bear on the Cassiopeian vessels, and maximizing the number of cannon turrents in arc... They begin firing heavier barrages at the vessels...

Meanwhile... Tekanian Wasp starfighters are getting into heavy dogfight with the Cassiopeian fighters.... 500 more are lost in the ensuing skirmish...

The Tekanian Aurora Assault shuttles begin plumenting into the Atmosphere.... Finally doing hard touch-downs, Marines begin pouring from the Assault Shuttles.... 3000 in all + some equipment... 200 of the shuttles, after unload, pull off again, to scout out the enemy and provide suppression fire, as marines group into teams and begin to head to enemy positions....

Master Rydo herself took a fighter into battle, tempting the Dark Lord of the Sith to come out and fight her. In the meantime, the ground assault was going fairly well, except that several frigates have been lost against the fighter attack. Another 10 fighters went down against the enemy fighters but they managed to sacrifice their lives enough to allow the majority of landing ships to make it.

Tanks and infantry began to rumble off the landing craft, the marines storming the blaster-infested beachheads as they were trained to. Helicopters roared overhead supported by their more advanced LAAT counterparts, which have begun deploying the space Marine Corps in power suits to help the sea Marines out against the droid army. Missiles streaked into enemy positions and laser cannons chewed up droid positions into scrap metal as the infantry and tank units fought to take and hold the beachhead against the droids. A few Jedi Knights were deployed as well, helping to take care of the battle droids with their lightsabers and Force powers. It appears then that things are going very well today!

The Cassopeian Galaxy had decided to try another ill-fated assault upon the Milky way again it seemed, if the readings given by the Earth-based embassy were correct. Xenonian high command brimmed with a feeling akin to amusement - the sheer firepower of the combined fleets that would certainly protect the homeworld of humankind would have to be in the thousands of exatons.

Overall, nothing toworry about. Nevertheless the entirety of fleet 2, one Miak DDX and it's fighter contigent was placed on standby, ready to strike if nessecary.

The Cassiopeian Fleet was still getting kicked by the allied fleet, and Darth Bankai knew the Jedi were now in the battle. "Have my Fighter prepeared, it's time I came into this Battle." he said. "and have our ships attack the enemy ships at Point-Blank Range."

The Fleet soon started moving closer to the enemy ships, Blasting at them, The Fighters attack, targeting the Bridges of the enemy.

After waiting awhile for a reply and recieving none, Galeel decided that this was not really worth it. Although he debated firing a few PSP's towards the aggressors, he thought better of it. With that he told the ships AI to take him back to the Einhauser homeworld.

A second later the green and gold ship dissappeared from view and reappeared in orbit of the Einhauser homeworld.

Left behind was only a message, playing through earth space.

The Three vessels begin pounding the rear of the Cassiopeian fleet as the wormhole behind them destabalizes and collapses....

Not if Coredia's land forces would help it. With the gratitude of the British government, the 3rd Infantry Division started approaching Wales as the 2nd Marine Divison steamed towards North Scotland as Tornado fighters and Super Eagles flew in the sky to contest the droid forces that landed in England. Evacuation of the monarch and civilian government was well underway as well.

New York City

The Victory Star Destroyer Iceblade approached the largest American city and began to descend further into the atmosphere to prepare precise orbitial bombardment upon the Hammerhead and other droid forces in support of its own Marine forces deploying to the area and the forces of Tekania as well.

Coredia's orbitial defenses began to speak out against the dark side, sending powerful blue-white blasts of particle cannon towards the enemy.

Of the fleet, Star Destroyer Admiral Gershwin was the first to suffer from heavy blows against the enemy. It veered off, trailing air from heavy hull breaches.

The primary bridges are not on the tower, not anymore. While it's good for line of sight and other methods, when the shields start wavering, the captains moved to the command center just above the main hangar bays, while leaving a token command force to fight the enemy until the bridges are gone. A Strike Cruiser blew apart under heavy fire and the rest of the ships recieved varying levels of damage.

As for Master Rydo herself, she and her fighters, along with the Lancer antistarfighter cruisers and Wolfpacks laid waste to many a fighter, keeping most of them off the bridges. A couple of gunships and ten fighters was the sacrifice to keep the larger ships alive. She then sought out the Dark Lord and set out to engage him in battle to force him to the ground.

Darth Bankai felt the ripple in the Force, It seemed a Jedi was in one of The Fighters that he was fighting, but were was she, he knew it was female. He ordered the other Fighters to attack The TFU flagship and blast it to hell and back.

But he wanted to fight the Jedi knight by himself.

(OOC: Cassiopea, tell me what point defense means? Also, tell me what crystalline means. You are sending fighters against dedicated point defense vessels. Think about this: Do you send MT Fighters against AEGIS cruisers? I think not. Anyway, how does one jump away from a large field of chaotic fire?)

The force lightning struck the shields, and was converted into a brilliant array of colours as the frigates moved in closer to the Dark Jedi.

Meanwhile, the upper guns, idle until then, rapidly swiveled round and sent streams of glowing metal into the fighters.

When the surviving few dropped their payloads, they impacted the kinetic shields and detonated, the explosions turning into light shows.

The frigates moved into a tight box formation around the Jedi with their shields, firing all the way.

OOC:
The K-Shields aren't true shields, really. They're actually Anti-Grav fields combined with a gravitational amplifier. I seriously doubt your Jedi can jump at several times escape velocity, can he? Another thing to note is that the shields are spherical, due to their nature.

I'd probably note that Point-Blank isn't really going to help much, because most of the other ships are far too maneuverable. Neither do many of them have exposed bridges.

The frigates were having a hell of a time. The Cassiopeans were hurling fighters at them. They were firing missile weapons at them.

"Rebalance Shields! We need to take out this Jedi guy. Slash those fighters and torpedoes."

The top cannons were firing constantly now, sending eery last one of the Cassiopean fighters to the great beyond.

The lower guns fired with the intent of shredding through the Jedi, as the group moved in formation, scooping up the Dark Jedi in their shields.

They then proceeded to leave the battlefield to communicate with the battlegroups, leaving the atmosphere.

The battlegroups were now departing the orbital war, and preparing to enter the atmosphere. They were to engage the Cassiopean Star Destroyer.

A hail of plasma fire and two anti-matter torpedoes heralded their arrival, the frigates recharging within the shields of the battlegroups.

Any invaders who wander too close are quickly eliminated.

All allies of The Balrogga Empire are allow to dock for refueling and repairs.

the three fighters seperated, avoiding the bursts of blaster fire and dropping their nine 800 pound bombs on the nearest enemies before going about their assigned tasks. the wingleader pushed his throttle to the max and roared past the two jedi, both to get closer to his target and to use them as possible "meat shields" as he charged his wingtip cannons to the max.

his two wingmen, after dropping their bombs, did a sharp loop and found themselves behind their would-be persuers. they chose their targets and started rattling-off fire from their 4 90 mm heavy machineguns and their 3 inch cannons befors switching over to and unleashing the power of their 6 mini-missile pods.

OOC: brilliant tactical move by the way my friend, launching a divirsionary strike on Earth so as to draw the Hakurabi fleet from their own system.

I think you misunderstand the Anti-Grav shield. It forces anything that attempts to go through it to traverse a distance several times the gravity of the ship or planet. It's more-or-less useless against things like masers, grasers and lasers, but if you tried to push, stab (even with an energy blade), or shoot it, it would be 'pulled back' by gravity.

I highly doubt that even a Jedi could stab at escape velocity. Same with a force blast: There would be a phenomenal lag time. I wasn't actually shooting at you at that time, you know.

OOC: Preaching to the Pope's Choir, my friend. Daniel and his brothers, sister and cousins are masters of teleportation as it is a bloodline ability in their family. It's a highly useful hereditary skill. AND they're fast enough to use "port-fu". Nightcrawler from the X-men 2 movie comes to mind.

"New orders... dispatch to entire fleet.... Tell them we have orders to return to Eagle One, Tekanian Orbital Station for new assignments...." commands VADM Mitar...

"Sir?.." the comm officer looks puzzled....

"You heard me, Lieutenant...." the Vice Admiral re-iterates, annoyed... "The Dominion of Thompsonia is entering a civil war.... We are to return as soon as possible for rearming and redeployment...."


Outside, fighters stop firing, turning they begin to head back to the Tekanian fleet, as the fleet puts on more power, turning from the battle and pushing away at full sublight....

Other than that, I'm going to leave my ships near the surface and providing orbital support to the ground forces, and hitting the star destroyer w/ anti-matter missiles. The Cassiopeian Invasion Force in The Hakurabi lost one Star Destroyer, but that made the warmaster declare a retreat from the system.

Earth

The Cassiopeian fleet was neary destroyed, and it look like it was over, till The Commander desided to retreat as fast as he can, and Darth Bankai ordered it. The Dark Lord of The Sith, on the other hand was going to stay on Earth.

The Droids soon started to head back to the ships fast, they were now running for the hills.

Master Rydo looked out over the devastated city of New York City and she, too ordered her armies to stand down as victory was achieved. She has lost several companies in the fighting, but their deaths were not in vain. But there was still one more question left...Where on Earth is the Dark Lord of the Sith?

Cheers rose from the planets as news from the sensor grid came in.

A few hours later, a flotilla of transports, heavy tugs, and more than a few battlecruisers showed up just outside the range of the slowly accelerating ship.

The Captian of The Ship know that the Aliens were now surrounding the ship, and he and what was left of the crew knew what to do, he pushed the button....

and The ship started Blowing up.

One of the Cassiopeian rules of Warships is to never let the enemy have the ship. Destroy your ship, and never let it fall into enemy hands.

(OOC: Your captain should be *blown up* I freaking blew up your bridge! If your captain was alive, the ship would not have been left for dead! You did not declare the survival of the captain and - say, since when could you issue a self destruct order to the AI from anywhere but the bridge? Or without multiple members of the bridge crew? I doubt, with such a large empire, its leaders would have that much faith in the captain's ability to judge the situation. You declared an ultimatum, and the flourish suggested a great confidence in victory: Such an arrogant declaration would likewise come with a proud place at the bridge. The 'Declare first Shoot later' does not suggest experience. Since when do 'golden fishes' have a simple captain-sez-so destruct button? Is your administration truly that foolish?)

(In the interest in allowing this RP to continue, I'll make a compromise - The destruct is engaged, but there is a 6 hour warning time (beaming off, etc.) before it actually blows - That way I have a chance of getting in and disabling it before 99.999% of the crew is killed. It's also kinda difficult to sufficiently motivate security and gunners to shoot down their only hope of survival. In my opinion, you're lucky your captain isn't lying in a puddle of blood for that little stunt.

"They've engaged the freaking destruct sequence!"

"Just for offering help?"

"Yeah!"

A sort of murmur came across communications, a mixture of surprise, anger, and pity. "Well, assuming minimal destruct protocols, the captain, or at least an officer must be involved in the activation of the self destruct sequence."

"There's no bridge..."

"There are three possibilities - Engineering, An Auxilary Bridge, or Reactor Scuttling. Seeing as the ship has not exploded yet, the third option is out. The Auxilary Bridge is the most likely, but we don't know where it is. I'm in favor of sending marines to Engineering first, and finding out where the hell the AuxBridge is."

"What about the crew?"

"We'll get them into the rescue transports. We can hyperspace in blast capsules 30 minutes from detonation, and more for anyone they need to stun along the way."

"Right. Three teams of eight marines, fitted with assault armour and utility rifles."

"Send the rescue boats with two marines, to round up as many as possible. Launch escape pods with one marine."

"Roger that."

The sirens in the special auxilary bays fitted to the battlecruisers as marines rushed to elongated transports that had replaced the usual heavy missiles, and one by one, the transports docked and bored holes in the armour of the star destroyer.

They expected little resistance and much cooperation, for an offer to help followed by a self destruct siren would leave any crew angry and mutinous.

To achieve maximum fluidity, their weapons were still slung on their backs, though a 'stun pistol' was wrist-holstered in their power armour.

For most of the marines, their objectives were to reach as many crew members as possible, to help them escape from this madness.

For the others, they were to get to engineering as fast as possible.

A message briefly overrode the intercom 'self destruct' sirens.

"We are sending rescue vehicles - repeat - we are sending rescue vehicles. Hold your fire - repeat - hold your fire. Marines will be down shortly to direct you to the nearest vehicle."

ETD: 5 hours 30 minutes

The marines then descended, and ran through the corridoors, kicking open cabins and evicting the occupants, leading to more than a few embarassing moments.

The teams heading for the Engineering section stopped to ask several crew members as to the location of the engineering area, and ran, directing as many personnel as possible to the exit through speakers mounted in their backpacks.

(OOC: The utility guns have three modes - Stun, Disarm, and Kinetic (Nicknamed 'Kill Mode'). Stun fires a small globule of chemical matter, that is absorbed through the skin and makes the afflicted body part feel like its on fire, broken in three different places, and with a hole through it. Other than that, it's totally harmless. The Stun guns also use this kind of ammunition. Disarm mode simply fires a burst of air at hurricane forces, giving it the ability to knock handheld equipment clear across the room, or an opponent. Kinetic mode uses a lot less force than disarm, and launches a flechette capable of killing or seriously wounding. It was designed to break open locks and weaponry. Automatic fire of both Stun and Kill is within capabilities. ETD is just a way of measuring when something happens.)

The Ships was about to blow and now the enemy was on borad, that was a bad thing when The Destroyer Droids were still on and were now rolling to the enemy to blast them. the Droids stopped and unfolded and turned on their sheilds and started Blasting at the enemy

3 miniutes till Boom time.

(OOC: Dammit! 3 minutes are not enough! If you're going to do that, it's going to take place when everyone is gone. Honestly now. I'm estimating 6 hours so we have time for multiple battles. Treat it as if I was invading a planet. That's how I'm thinking of doing this. It's large enough to be a full scale battlefield.)

ETD: 5 hours 28 minutes

"They've gone totally mad! They're sending battle droids at us!"

The flechettes were bouncing off the droids' shields, as were the blaster rounds being converted to light easily by the assault armour of the marines. A rocket launcher could have done it, but you couldn't afford to use those in a ship. You risked taking out vital circuitry. Sure, they'd survive, but what about the crew they were supposed to save?

"You there!" The marine pointed at a fleeing crew member. "Where the hell is a security station?" There had to be one. Logic demanded it.

The crew member shrugged her shoulders.

"There's a security guy up the hall," The crew member gestured down one of the corridoors. "He's probably long gone by now, but his SecMap should still be in there."

"Great! Now get out of here!"

The crew member ran off towards the rescue boat.

"You heard the lady! Let's get over there! You two - hold them off. As long as they don't ram, you should be fine. If they do, hit them with flechettes - their speed should be enough to make them work. If you see any armed personnel, see if you can get them to help disable the things."

"Yes sir!"

And so the brave, brave marines beat a very brave retreat.

The marines involved in rescue operations also ran into some trouble. They applied a slightly different solution. To save time, they used the flechettes on full force (Very risky, because if it ricocheted, you could make a clean hole in the hull.) and aimed for the sensors.

(OOC: You're talking about those droideka thingies, right?)

Coming out of Hyperspace, 5 Space Rays and two Squadrons of Shaman Class Fighters entered The system and started to blast at the Star Destroyer. The Cassiopeians wanted to destroy that ship, it was Naval rules not to let any ship fall into enemy hands, destroy the ship.

On the ship, More Battle Droids attacked the enemy, with help from the crew that wasn't escapeing, those that were running were Vexs, those that were fighting were Demons, Co'rans, Draconians and Shah'reeks.

The Pilots were heading for their Fighters to attack the enemy ships, a few were already heading for the enemy.

3 Droids killed.

(OOC: No race ascends to even the modern age without survival instinct. Bombardment of a ship with the fight going on is going to kill morale faster than throwing a bit of paper into a blast furnace. Oh well. Time to bail out with what I've got. By the way, didn't I note that both weapons were ineffective?

Oh yes, before I forget - You gotta remember that your morale is going to be shot after this. Woe betide the empire that shoots their own valiantly fighting crew. No amount of policy will save a crew that has realised that their )

"The idiots are trying to kill us! We're going to grab as many as possible before we slag the lot of them. Call in a beamer case and our scuttling gear. Send full forces."

No sooner had the message been sent, than another one replied.

"Very well. Try to use your stun pistol whenever possible. Equipment being sent as you recieve this message."

And true to the battlecruiser captain's word, something that looked like a heavily shielded coffin materialised, and the marines grabbed their heavy weapons from within. There was much heavier equipment than they expected - Gauss rifles, Maser cannons, Portable Cyclic laser, even a handheld torpedo launcher!

The marines threw down their utility guns and returned fire with their stun pistols, while the two cyclic lasers were set up.

A somewhat agitated voice came across the intercom.

"We have attempted to use non-lethal force when possible. Please do not force us to fire upon you. You are but ensuring your own deaths by preventing us from disabling the self destruct. As this message reaches you, your own navy is attempting to seal your fates. Please believe that we are attempting to prevent unnecessary loss of life."

The rescuers recieved less powerful heavy disablers, rifles with a combination of a shield disabling beam, and emp projector, and a more concentrated stun mixture, alongside a fully functioning maser sidearm.

5 hours 10 minutes...

The marines were ready, and now the full force of their experience came into view.

The cyclic lasers were at full rotational force now, hundreds of laser beams visible as they slowly strafed the room.

The rocket launcher was not yet employed.

However, the maser cannons and the gauss rifles were used to their fullest, high velocity slugs propelled through the hallways and ripples of boiling air giving away the presence of microwave weapons.

The case in which the weaponry came in was a one-way hyperspacing unit, and that which was placed inside and the controls activated would be beamed to specialised emp'd and biogelled compartments inside the transports.

Furthermore, transports with full marine complements (14) were docking across the ship, and using a lot less restraint with their heavy weapons. Those who were unarmed were still given the opportunity to run to the transports, of course.

Though the skirmishes and cabin-raids had one bright side - they had found a map of sorts.

The battle would be taken to the auxilary bridge.

In space...

The flotilla was engaged by the Cassiopeans (Who had inexplicably failed to destroy the ship earlier), now returning, presumably on afterthought, to finish the job.

The sensor grid began to jam their communications, and the battlecruisers applied their fully functioning plasma cannons to the space rays.

Faiths were now moving in to the battlefield, firing their gatling mass drivers with frightening accuracy at the fighters.

There wasn't going to be reinforcements this time.

So too, was the Big Bertha participating - streaks of light slamming into the space rays.

Oddly among the fighting, the DLE flotilla had remained relatively quiet - even when approached by several Vastivan T-1000 shuttles.

That several of the ships moved off after being docked to the smaller Vastivan vessels - including a Graviton Destroyer - certainly had nothing to do with any sort of battle. Vastiva's ability to wage war on that was negligible....

OOC: Okay Cassiopeia, Now that we've both shown our hands, let's play it out. Three Primary Warzones - Engineering, Auxilary Bridge, and Exterior.

Just Note: You really can't expect the non combat-trained to fight with heavy weapons just like that. A lobbed spanner or a low-level sidearm, maybe. More likely they'll cower or run.

I'll just add information to this list as this unfolds.

Fine. Let's just give this thread a decent burial.

We'll just say I disabled the destruct and rescued/captured a sizeable portion of the crew (10%), but the space rays survive long enough to cause a reactor breach. Therefore, I collect a variety of crew member types from all races, but lose most of the assault marines. The rescue marines mostly survive. The ship will be salvaged from the exterior quarters and armour, along with surviving weapons. The rest of the ship is annihilated in the explosion.

Okay?

"Sir!" it was the sensor operator, "the enemy command ship is being boarded!"

"Excelent, send a boarding force and capture it before the crew can scuttle it." this would be a true prize catch for the admeral, and a high point in his career... and then the other ships appeared to blow up his prize... "Shit! all ships engage the new arrivals! Reduce them to SLAG!"
