new here, looked at some of the threads, but still overwhelmed. been at the site for a while, recently done a lot at NSWiki, but never any on forums. not sure all what to say.

He only has two posts, he doesn't need a fact book!
1) Read the stickies.
2) Post a press conference thread.
3) Get friendly with someone bigger/more experienced.
4) Get into some RPs.

Just post a thread called something like "Footballia enters worldstage"
In the post just write about your leader giving a press conference to the world media mentioning all about your nation, and then allowing for questions/insults from foriegn leaders.
Thats when you will get the first ideas of who you will be friendly within future.
Whatever you do, don't charge head first into a war.
Thats what I did, baptism of fire, luckily I didn't come out burnt.

I make a very quick and dodgy one below about Farmina to give you an example. But make yours a good one since this is the measure by which people will judge you.

That is complete rubbish, it needs to give people a real feel for your nation. Then people will ask questions to fill in the blanks, as well as giving you all sorts of offers. Concentrate on the governments beliefs and perhaps a little on its structure

Another good tip, i think, it might be a good idea for you to decide asap as to what tech era your country is going to be (i.e. Fantasy Tech, Modern Tech, Future Tech, etc etc) as this will help determine who you really need to get involved with. If you decide on future tech drop me a telegram and I will help you out.

Deciding one's tech level is only step one. Albiet a step one that will weigh heavily on your NS experience, and make or break your nation. No Worries than.
You also have to decide what kind of shape your armed forces are...
Example - You concern yourself with the defence of your nation, you are a fortress state, with little offensive power. But I pity the nation who tries to invade.
Eample 2 - You are an imperialistic dictator with over-melodramatic plans for world domination, with all resources heading towards your offensive forces. But it sucks to be you should you be invaded.
Example 3 - Your armed forces are equilized in every way, with enough troops to hold the cities, but enough missiles to wage another one of your wars.
Myself, I am semi-equilized with a lean on defence.
