"Sir, I have something on long range sensors"! "Well, what is it? said Weis. "I can't tell from this distance, it appears to be some kind of Communications station. "Get within comm range and attempt to hail them on all known channels".

"Sir, we've got the oddest report comming in. Someone keeps trying to hail one of our weather satellites. Apparently it wandered out of the Dead Zone a week back and now it's asking for protocol in how to reply," Leutenant Norta said.
Captain Soybayuna, descendant of the famous Defense Minisitress Soybayun, merely rubbed her head in frustration. First, she got orders from home base to shoot any Sarkarasetan ship that didn't have a DLE identification code, something unusual for the empire, and then border security started being increased. Just yesterday she had spent nine hours questioning a Balroggan freighter when before it would have been let go with only a passive scan and a "Have a safe trip!" thrown at it. And the questions themselves were the oddest part, as Soybayuna didn't see what relevance Sarkarasetans on strange ships had to the recent events.
"Let's investigate. Let the patrol know where we are headed and tell them to expect us back in a couple of hours. Make it a point to log this in triplicate and prepare the ship for a short FTL jump," Soybayuna said.
Five minutes later, space near the Draconian ship appeared to bubble for a moment before snapping back into place, the 500 meter DLE battlecruiser having appeared where the bubbling was. The ship's mere presense would set off sensors, as the graviton drive and shields gave it almost an aura. But the number of high-powered cannons on it more than proved its purpose.
