The Hatarian Ministry of Defence issued an invitation to tender in July 1987 for an amphibious helicopter carrier for the Imperial Navy and the order was placed in May 1993 with Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering Ltd (now BAE Systems Marine) in Barrow-in-Furness, Tangalee. Kvaerner Govan Ltd is the principal subcontractor. HMS Ocean (LPH01) was commissioned in September 1998 and is in operational service.

The primary role of HMS Ocean (L12) is to achieve the rapid landing of an assault force by helicopter and landing craft.

We'll take only 5 of them, as our Navy isn't our primary deployment method. But just incase, we want the Gnat launchers removed, and some more powerfull engines installed in our ships, so as to increase its use as a rapid strike vessle for our Imperial Marines. The required funds, 20,000,000,000 will be delivered to your account on the morning.

It's a nice boat...the only problem with this is that it is primarily an assault ship that carries a relatively small number of helos - don't get me wrong, this is as good as anything in RL.

What I'd like to see is a carrier capable of carrying 100 or more helos - at least 50 attack, and the rest cargo or support.

I have a ship that can carry a large number of Helo's Wolfish - not sure on the exact numbers though.

After reviewing ancient records of Hogsweatian Naval Surplus we have discovered that this vessel has been in use in the Hogsweatian Navy [in all it's different forms and names] since before the nation of Hataria existed on this Earth. The vessel was designated as LPH01 and the first vessel to be laid down was named Ocean. As of this we declare and note that this vessel is definetly not of sole Hatarian design.
