The Union of People's Republics has formally issued a invitation to Hataria to establish a Favored Nation Trade status with the Union of People's Republics.
The agreement would include the formal exchange of embassies. We believe such arrangement would be economically beneficial to both nations.

The Imperial Navy wishes to assure that, although the majority of the community is bitter with Hataria, we consider them to be neutral, as well as Whitter. We will be observing latest developments, to see how things come along.

The Whittier Trade Delegation arrived at the Denver Sheraton Hotel.
The main negotiator, Doug Smith, stepped out of the limo and up to the lobby desk. The demeanor on his face and in his reserved brown eyes said that this was not someone to fuck with. He meant business. The way he walked, made people jump out of his way. He was athletic in his youth and had good physique. Until the great civil war over abortion. He had fought for the pro life side and lost his left arm. It was quite a task learning to do things with his right hand. Being born a left handed person. He lost it in the same battle that caused him to be the recipient of the medal of honor. But as it is with nature, if you don't use it you lose. And since Doug had been too busy with his trade missions and other work to exercise, his body had begun to show it, by shrinking muscles groups.
His haircut was crisp and clean. To those who knew him, he was the first person they would trust. He had never betrayed anyone and bribery was beyond him. The perfect boyscout he had a pension for stepping into the middle of busy street or boulevard forcing traffic to stop just so some old lady or disabled person could cross. He never told a lie and had no respect or patience for liars. He could always pick one out from a crowd.
Having just seen someone getting swindled by a con artist posing as a computer consultant, he had the feeling there was something not right. Just about the time the money was to exchange hands, the hapless guy was grabbed by a big massive hand and pulled back to the ground.
"Before you can accept payment, I need to see your license to do business."
The guy pulled a license out of his wallet. Doug scanned it thoroughly. His Ministry was in charge of issuing licenses. But apparently this guy didn't know who he was. The license was a fake. It was an almost exact copy of the license format that used to issued up to 6 months ago. All business men and professionals had been required to get their licenses upgraded. That had taken two months. He filed charges on the conman and had him arrested.
He then walked up to the lobby desk and checked in.

He was followed by security detail and advisors. He had been authorized to negotiate an oil or plastics or steel, or apples, or automobiles trade agreement. What Whittier was offering wasn't much but it was a start. It was normal protocol. When starting a trade treaty with someone you hadn't been trading with previously, keep the list of what you are offering, small. Then later on, say in a few years, you expand the list to cover other items.

Minster of Trade Hatno Kan and the other Delegates were on a Boeing 767, escorted by two Hatarian Sivik-67 Long-range Fighters. The Fighters were there to protect the Plane from any attackers, mostly Roman Republic Planes, since they might try to stop any Trade talks that might give Hataria more Iron and Food.

Hatno Kan was 34 years old, black hair, and was once part of The Imperial KGB. He became Minister of Trade when Barbarossa The Great ruled Hataria, and was still with Serena the new ruler of The Imperial Republic of Hataria.

It was Serena's order that Hatno was to get Whittier to trade with Hataria, with would be good for The Hatarian Economy, and as a gift to The Delegates of Whittier, Hatno was to give them two Mastdon Tusks, two Boxes of Gold from The Death Mountians, two Boxes of Diamonds from The Black Islands, and a Hatarian Sword made of Gold.

Hatno would show what Hataria had to trade, not only the things that Hatno would show the Delegates, but Iron, Oil, and other things from Hataria. It would show The World that Hataria was the most Powerful Nation in The Central Pacific and The World.

OOC: Congrats Hataria, your RPing has quite improved, I'm glad you've stuck with it. Just one thing, you say you are a member of the SHJA pact. That never went into existence, Sino and I never agreed to anything so I would rather you remove it from your signature.

5 Mig 29's sped into the air toward the Hatarian aircraft as they approached Whittier airspace.

"Attention Hatarian aircraft, this is white flight leader, we will be escorting you through Whittier soverign airspace to Denver International Airport. The air and runways have been cleared for your arrival, all other traffic is being transferred to other airports, particularly Tucson International. So if you'll please follow us in."

On the ground, security was extremely tight at Denver International. The Whittier Marines had been deployed to guard against terrorists, foreign assassins and anyone else who sought to derail the talks. The first such talks between the Whittier and Hatarian governments. An entire terminal had been cleared of almost all people. But there was a section just outside the terminal filled members of the press, with camera cables running here and there. Reporters checking themselves and practicing their questions.

Security was tight. As Doug entered the terminal, to await the Hatarians arrival, he was beseiged with questions from the media. He didn't care for the press but he was the economic face of the nation, after the Secretary General.
"The government of the Union of People's Republics hopes that these talks will lead to more trade agreements and closer and more peaceful relations between our two peoples."
"The subject of the agreement will depend on what the Hatarians are willing to trade. Our offers are confined by trade protocol. As this is our first meeting with the Hatarians, our ability to make offerings is limited by national security needs."
The questioning continued as they awaited the Hatarian delegation.
