In an uncharted sector of space, the large, beatiful planet of Tornak sat alone, the sole planet in it's system. It's sun shining soft light down onto the planets surface. The planet was about the size of earth, but more beautiful. Grasslands, plains, lush forests, thick jungles, endless oceans, majestic rivers and lakes, beautiful mountain ranges, and many beaches covered in white sand. The eight continents, all roughly the size of Europe, sat seperated by the large, blue oceans. The perfect place for new life to thrive....

A Taledonian Battle Cruiser appeared in the system. The ship had been on a scouting mission and had accidently stumbled upon the system. Seeing the majesty of the planet, Cpt. Demoran sat dumbfounded in the bridge.

"Where are we?" he asked in wonder.
"I'm not sure, sir. This system does not appear on our maps or records." reported a crewman.
"It's amazingly beautiful. Scan the planet for life forms."
"Yes, sir!"
After scanning the planet for life or signs of technology, the crewman reported,
"No signs of any technology, and the only life forms detected are those of animals."
"Send down a landing party. Let's get a little bit of information about the surface before we return to Taledonia."
"Yes, sir."

A small party of 15 men, 13 civilian and 2 military escorts, departed from the cruiser and headed down towards the planet. Landing on a grassy plain located next to a medium sized river, the men exited the transport. After several hours on the surface, enough information was gathered. The transport headed back to the cruiser and the cruiser departed. A few hours later, 2 Taledonian colonisation cruisers arrived in the system. They headed into orbit of the planet and sent down their transports to the grassy plain. The first continent of the planet was now being colonized. How long would it be before the planet was discovered by other civilisations and the other 8 continents colonized....

"The Taledonians have informed us of a new and uncharted planet. They say IT'S BEAUTY IS BEYOND THAT OF ANY OTHER."
"have they begun to colonize?"
"Yes"
"Tell them we want in on this. We will arrive in 1 hour."

The Taledonian settlers worked hard to construct the first settlement on the new planet of Tornak. The small town was under fool bloom. It was called Talenak. It didn't have many building yet, a barracks, a couple small houses, and the regional Imperial Palace that was under construction. The construction was expected to be fast considering 90 000 people now inhabited the planet, and with the most modern technology out there, it would be easy.

Go right ahead! At the moment, Taledonia does not have the resources or men to claim the entire planet, therefore any nation could claim the other continents on the planet. Considering we are both members of the Republic, however, we suggest that you claim a land mass close to that of ours.

Following their Republic allies, the nation of Nirs sent forth ships to colonize the planet also. Arriving at the system, the Nirsian ships sent out their transport ships to carry their men and supplies to the planet. Landing on the continent directly to the south of the Taledonian continent.

The Kezecistanys began construction of a megacity on a continent NEE of Taledonia's, about 900mi. away. The continent was surrounded by small islands and refs, with only a few bays for large sea ships. Most of this city would be underground and the spires that rose into the sky were artistically designed to match the beauty of their surroundings. The entire construction process was automated. A large convoy of construction supply ships began to arrive in orbit around the planet.

"Welcome Nirs. We are glad to share this world with you."

The Laskonian Battlestar 12 warped into the sector of the habitable planet as per orders of the president to learn more of the increased space activity in these normally empty region, when they got their, the crew was aflurry with activity as they sent probes down to investigate.

More so fascinated by this was Commander Johnas Kaye, younger brother of the famed Laskonian General Noah Kaye, he was eager to make a name for himself in the armed forces of his country, his time had come.

"Have you contacted the capital yet?"

"Yes sir, the president is on screen."

The President's face filled the screen as he looked down at Johnas.

"Well Commander, what have you got for me?"

"An amazing planet, sir, waiting to be colonized."

The president shifted through a stack of pictures the probes had taken.

"Commander, I'm giving you full permission to bring over several thousand colonists, and of course a division of troops."

"Is that necessary sir?"

"You said other planets are laying claim to it, we have to be careful..."

"Sir, theres enough room for us all."

"Thats an order, Commander. Land using any raptors you have to being laying plans out for a base and a settlement."

"Yes sir."

"Good luck commander."

The screen went blank as Johnas looked on, infiriated, he turned to his crew.

"Well? Get to work!"

The communications officers began to send transmissions for the raptor teams to get ready for recon on the planet, the commander slumped in his chair as people buzzed around him.

Several light years away, on the other side of the planet, a fleet of pirate ships were free floating in space...

Aboard the flagship, a gruff, one eyed man approached the obvious leader of the pirates.

"Oye, sir, we got the reports. There are dozens of frieghters comin' an' goin' with colonists from all over the place. Easy pickings is you ask me..."

The commander had longish black hair, an unkind look in his eyes showed why he was the leader of a pirate group, he wore dark leatherwear and several weapons attached to his person.

"Wait, whats this?"

"Oh? That be a Laskonian Battlestar, sir, nothing to worry about, none of the other military vessals stayed in the system after the colonists had settled."

"Hmm, very well, then, we shall wait a little longer..."

It takes the Laskonian troops and colonists one week to prepare for launch, and one more week to reach their destination by slip stream. The Battlestar remains in orbit during that time, making small encampments and setting the foundation for the base.

Just then 3 Kazecistany High Guard ships appeared. 2 super cruisers and 1 heavy battle carrier.

"Laskonian ships: state your business. We wish not hostilities between our peoples. If you attempt any aggressive actions we will be forced to respond."

Plans were made for surface military installations, mainly on the islands and coast line. They also began fighter patrols to completely map out the surface. 90% of their fighters were engaged in this.

The Commander was awoken from a start right after the message was relayed, he quickly got dressed and jogged to the bridge.

"This is Commander Johnas Kaye of the Battlestar 12. We weren't planning on getting into any "aggressive actions" as you so put it, unless you'd like to press the matter..."

The second in command, Cardion Rand, moved over to Johnas and whispered in his ear.

"Very well. We have no aggressive intentions here, we only wish to colonize this beautiful planet with our people. Hopefully you can see fit to accept our presense here."

"Then you are more than welcome here. We hope you see fit to preserve this planet's beauty. We also hope that this planet is not to become a large military staging point, that rather it is kept to a mainly civilian installation."

Century probes were sent to all points in the system to watch for other incoming ships. One was sent to the other side of the planet.

"Several light years away, on the other side of the planet, a fleet of pirate ships were free floating in space"

"Sah? Space probes approaching."

The Pirate Captain looked to the one eyed officer.

"Have they detected us?"

"No, but they will soon."

"Move the ships back to the asteroid belt, and get the cloak ship online."

"Aye sir."

The pirate fleet began to move quickly back into a nearby asteroid belt, using the asteroids and cover to hide from the probes.

On the Battlestar, Johnas allowed himself a sigh of relief.

"We'll see, commander, we'll see."
he said this not with a hint of arrogence but as a tired, annoyed comment.

Johnas cut the transmission and returned to bed, the transports should be coming in soon, they'd have to be careful to hide the military ships, no matter how it looked to the other countries, they probably wouldn't be given a chance to explain this before enemy fleets would be upon them.

The now large city of Talenak was now complete with several other cities being constructed. The regional Imperial Palace was being filled with the elected government officials that were selected back at Taledonia. The thriving metropolis had almost all the luxuries as Taledon itself. With the scanners, tracking, communication and other technologies were now in place, and were being used to moniter the activities of the other nations. Trade ships had started to move out towards the Nirsian and Kazecistanian claims, both by sea and air. The Talenak (which is now also the name of the Taledonian continent) Space Program, TSP, was already preparing to launch their first few satellites into orbit to further moniter the other nations.

The Laskonian colonists, thanks to the newly operation warp gates put in place by the other countries, were there faster than expected. With 5000 people in each of the 5 dropships, they quickly landed on the adopted continent and began to make the city. Everyone had already agreed that they would help create the city so it would take less time instead of just workers doing it. Four of the dropships had landed in the area where civilian ships would land, the other had landed near the base outline, which was already partially constructed thanks to the crew of the Battlestar. The troops filed out and stood in line for inspection after the journey, after they were released, parties were held for the new world, and the base construction began. The outer base looked like any normal military fort, lightly armed with guard towers and large concrete and steel walls. But the real treasures were underground, were soldiers were tirelessly building an underground bunker and headquarters.

At the Regional Imperial Palace, a diplomat, escorted by 3 Preatorian Guards boarded a transport bound for the Laskonian claim. When they arrived at the continent, they landed where the largest concentration of people were. The Preatorians exited the transport first and filled out into formation to provide protection as the diplomat exited the craft.

Their mega city now complete, they began the seeding of other mega cities. Transports with the first inhabitants began to land and populate the city. 2 small airbases were built underground and a large military/civilian seaport were constructed.

Troops and government personel started heading towards the Kazecistanian continent, in the interest of establishing an embassy on the island.

The Starseeker was a Privately owned Exploration Vessel, and was fitted with the finest there was to offer (Outside of military issue, of course...). Crewed by a full two thousand, it was the foremost of its class.

Five minutes after launch, disaster struck.

A spatial anomaly enveloped the ship, and flung it into the depths of space.

However, this was one of the more fortunate anomalies, as the unfortunate crew did not end up in the centre of a sun this time.

Of course, materialising in the upper atmosphere of a planet is generally not considered fortunate.

Kazecistani probes noted the sudden appearance of a large ship falling through the atmosphere, and crashing into the shores of a large island.

In a string of good luck (though to them it was phenomenally bad), the reactor did not blow, sparing the lives of the crew.

Of course, in line with Murphy's Law, everthing else had.

The crew members, presumably looking for a quick and merciful death, left the airlock.

To their dismay, it was breathable.

Four lightyears from the system, a massive enery build-up occurs in space... Moments later, a wormhole begins to form and stabalize.... Out of it emerges a rather largish vessel... 3060meters in length, 650 meters high, 1200 meters accross its beam... 35,200,000 metric tons... Along the side of the vessel a name is displayed "TRSS Aruru" and hull number, "BSG-37"... Within moments the TRSS Aruru drifts to a stop, and the wormhold slams closed as energy from the vessel dissipates...

The bridge of the TRSS Aruru...

"Admiral..." says the Science officer... "I am picking up an uncharted gravitational well... Sensors are picking up a system approximately 5 light years from here... It is not located on any of our charts... not even in the GEDRA database..."

"Well... this is an exciting first mission... Helm, prepare for another insertion, take us into the system..." commands Vice Admiral Monroe, the Aruru's Commanding Officer....


The TRSS Aruru's power signature increases exponentially, as another wormhole opens before it.... along with a mouth inside the system about 1,000,000 km from the planet.... The Aruru slides into the wormhole, emerging from the other end... It's massive power signature readily appearant to all the vessels in the system....

Lars Solack, the governer of Fash City, approached the delegate while several hundred Laskonian gathered around to see the new arrival.

"My good sir, we welcome you to our city. Though it has yet to be finished, we would love to contact you again once all the buildings are completed..."

In space:

Johnas paced the bridge, more and more ships were arriving every day now, one had hurtled to the ground and had not been heard from since, then another battlestar warped in. His orders had been to remain as quiet as possible about the building of the cities and the bases, but he didn't see how bad it would be to have ties to the other nations on the planet.

"Hakurabi ship: are you in need of assistance? We have relief teams standing by if you need assistance. Please respond."

"Tekanian ship: state your intentions. If they be peaceful we welcome you, if they be hostile, we shall be forced to act."

"Laskon command: You are welcome to have military ships in orbit, but I would be careful about how many you bring in."

The diplomat listened to Lars, then replied gracefully, "It is know by our people that you have not done much on this planet yet, but that is not the main reason I have been sent here. We have tracked several war ships in the system and would like to have you as a guest in our regional palace to discuss a formal treaty and perhaps an alliance between our two peoples who now inhabit the same planet."

"Taledonia: we whish to attend your treaty talks."

You may so that you can also sign with the foreigners, but we don't need to, considering we are both already allies in the Imperial Republic.

"We like to stay informed."

An ISF Superdradnaught jumped in-system. It was a new Explorer-class SD, outfitted with powerful sensors, many transport craft, the jump drive state-of-the-art, being able to go longer than most previous drives. It also ahd powerful sheilds to make up for it's decreased amount of weaponry.

"Sir, We are picking up transmissions, on Republic frequencies"
"I thought this was unexplored space..."
"It's another Exploration vessel"
"Right. that makes sense. Jump to them"
"Will do"

A few seconds later the unnamed ESD jumped a few hundred klicks from the planet. "Republic ships! This is the Explorer Superdreadnaught ISF-13498. WE are supprised to fiund you out in the middle of no where. We have also detected some unknown ships. Can you inform us of what you have been up to?"

"As of now all other nations in the system have been peaceful. We are laying clams to the land on this beautiful planet. You are welcome to any land you want. We regret not informing you about our find. We will upload all of our logs to your ship now."

"We prefer our own planet, thouhg we thank you for the offer. We would, however, like to be part of the traty process."

"You are more than welcome in the treaty talks."

He motioned to the crowd where 20 Laskonian royal guard members were marching through with a rough looking man at the head of them.

"And you will have to talk to Colonel Hellfast about it."

The burly Colonel looked the ambassador in the eye.

"We'd be happy to open up an alliance with you and your people. The city should be done within the week, as soon as its finished an an embassy is added, we will have you set up there."

In space, the asteroid field:

The Pirate captain looked over the specs on all the ships moving in.

"Sir, if we attacked now, they'd be defenseless."

"Tis true. I'm sure the Battlestar isn't going to be able to withstand a full assault."

"A full on assault, sah?"

"No. We'll just send a sizable attack force to attack the dropships and the battlestar, then we'll move our mothership onto the ground."

"Where, sah?"

"On the edge of one of the uninhabited continents, the others probably have advanced detection equipment."

"Very well, sah. I'll prepare an attack squadron."

"Good. Yes, very good."

The captain smiled and looked out towards the planet, ripe for the pillaging.

In Battlestar 12:
Commander Johnas looked out the viewing port at the planet, ripe for colonization.

Most of the crew were on ground leave to relax on the beaches of the planet, so a skeloten crew was guarding the battlestar. He looked around the bridge, only the communications and science officer were on here with him.

"I would like to propose a few parts to the treaty.
1) no nation on this planet may attack any other.
2)No nation may have a military fleet bigger than X amount.
3)No nation may endanger this planet without approval from the others
4)all nations must protect the entire planet, including the other nations (their land at least)
5) all nations must aid those who call for aid"

Transmition: We are busy, can we send a hologram?

"Of corse! the more the merrier."

Trans.: It's good to see the other Republic members again, it's been a while.
Holo: Sorry for the delay, this hologram unit is quite old, now, what are the matters to be discussed?
The hologram flickered as the pint sized figure walked across the room...

"We are discussing the terms for a treaty between the nations on this planet."

"Hydrogen-Land: do you wish to lay claim to land on this planet?"

Holo: Ah, I see. If you ask me, treaties must have a few elements, and I believe that all should hear this. One: The nation proposing the treaty must protect itself. Two: The nation accepting the treaty must protect itself if it does not interfere with the Treaty writer's protection. Three: Terms must apply to all, and no exceptions should be foreseen.

EDIT: Depends, the land would have to be barren, away from civilization, for it would be for weapons testing, nothing else.

"I don't think destroying any part of this planet is a good idea. It is a beautiful paradise."

Kazecistany mining ships began to arrive and harvest the asteroid belt for all it was worth. Every last grain of sand was collected and sent back to the home system for processing.

Holo: Then where will the testing take place, it is an evil I'll admit, but needed, the testing MUST take place somewhere...

"Go find another deserted planet*"

Holo: Well, if I must, could I place a housing sector on the planet? And possibly some underground bunkers?

(OOC: The ship's mostly wrecked, with only the hull, reactor, and storage still somewhat serviceable. Comms are shot, as with just about everything else.)

The power signature from the TRSS Aruru dies down, and in conjunction, the massive wormhole behind it collapses...

For several moments the massive vessel hangs there is space....

Bridge of the TRSS Aruru...

"Sir," says the Communications officer... "I am receiving a transmission..."

"Bring it up..." commands Vice Admiral Monroe....

"Tekanian ship: state your intentions. If they be peaceful we welcome you, if they be hostile, we shall be forced to act."

The Vice Admiral reviews the message for several moments.... then...

"Open a channcel to the Kaxecistanians....." commands VADM Monroe...

I am Vice Admiral William Monroe, Commanding Officer of the Tekanian Republic Stellar Ship Aruru... We are a exploratory vessel for the Constitutional Republic of Tekania, and GEDRA alliance... We have no direct interest in your planet.. And are only present to chart this system for storage in the GEDRA Database... We will be performing flight operations to send out scouts... Please do not interefere with any of our craft in this process...TRSS Aruru out...

"Contact the Flight Operations Officer, tell him to load out 10 Mule Heavy Transports with sensor suites.... one Wasp fighter escourt per Mule..." commands VADM Monroe...

"Hydrogen Land:That is fine. Where do you intend to do this?"

"Hakurabi ship: We are un aware if you are reciving this, but we are sending rescue crews."

Since the government's nonmilitary ships left much to be desired they sent 5 G class ground assault ships.

"We would like to-"

The transmisison cut off.

On an emergency all-chanel message, the captian appeared. "This is the ESD Burning Righteousness. An ISF ship was attacked. We request you send messages to your respective Headquarters and send aid. It took down the heavy sheilds of our sister ship and severly damaged her. Co-ordinates are at the following."

With that, the ISF ESD jumped out of the system.

Hellfast and Lars looked at the treaty points for a while before returning to the ambassador.

"We agree to the terms, also, I believe that the military fleets should be kept at only a few capital ships per nation, but instead of them being in orbit, they'll make an outer defensive grid throughout the system, that will make sure this planet will always remain a peaceful one."

In space above the planet:

The attack had almost been too easy.

First the fighters destroyed all of the Kazecistan mining vessals in the area, quickly and quietly. Then by attacking from the far side of the planet, the dozens of pirate fighter craft (see pic from earlier) easily snuck through other planet's defense systems. They approached the battlestar slowly before opening fire. Hundreds of missles streaked towards the defenseless warship, its cannons being blown to pieces before they had a chance to fire.

The mass of twisted metal began to crash down into the atmosphere, and for all the pirates cared, burned up.

They sped on directly into the area over the Tekanian city, a lively trade route, shooting at anything that was flouting in space. Outside of the chaos, a large roundish ship descended from the asteroid belt, it went through the atmosphere and smashed into the ground, staying still until a door hissed open and a leather clad man stepped out onto the springy turf, he smiled and opened his hands as if to take it all in.

On the Battlestar:

Johnas ran to the bridge from his room while ordering everyone there through his comlink, he had been alerted by the ship that they had been targeted by several unknown vessals only seconds before the impacts hit. He was thrown to his feet in the front of the bridge door, as he opened it, distinct laser fire scattered the bow in front of the viewing port. A pirate fighter descended right in front of it.

"Sonofa..."

Laser fire erupted and tore through the window, Johnas was thrown back and barely hung on till the door automatically shut itself.

The communications officer, the science officer, and two Laskonian airmen raced up to him.

"What happened sir?"

The ship shuddered.

"We've been attacked by someone, pirates I think...they blew the bridge..."

The ship shuddered again the computer voice announced an unplanned atmospheric dive was taking place.

"Shit...we have to get to the escape pods. We'd never survive if this thing crashed."

They rushed down the hallways to the escape pod area, which conviniently wasn't far from the bridge, but half were destroyed by missles when they got there.

"There should be enough...I'll take one. You all pair up in those two."

"Sir."

They set the escape pods to launch after they were successfully inside the atmosphere, Johnas looked out a small window as they launched at his ship burning into the ground.

"Those bastards are going to pay..."

He watched as more of the pirate fighters dove through the stratosphere, harrassing hapeless frieghters and ships.

ooc: "First the fighters destroyed all of the Kazecistan mining vessels in the area, quickly and quietly." - GM, but I'll allow it because that's what I would have done, just try not to do it again.

IC: "Unknown hostile vessels: cease and desist., What you have done is an act of war against Kazecistan and all of it's mighty allies...."

The Kazecistany fleet moved in and opened fire on all hostile ships with everything it had. 1500 squadrons of heavy drone fighters were unleashed. Smaller ships went to aid Tekania. The fleet sent out an all call to any nearby ally ships.

I didn't expect them to go without a fight, but they are mining vessals, not much of a match for advanced pirate ships, but alright, its cool.


IC:

The Pirate vessals spun around and led the fighters on a merry chase around the planet and through the asteroid belt, losing many along the way.

Several more of the vessals tore around the Tekanian city, being shot down and spiraling into buildings. The remaining few were mopped up by republic forces.

The Battlestar had created a massive scar of dried dirt and destruction, the escape pods landed only a few miles from the devestation.

Kazecistany fleet command decided it needed to increase it's presence, another super cruiser and a Heavy battle carrier arrived.
They sent aid crews to all places in need.

Delta Squadron passed over the area, and for the first time, the fearful sight of a Hydrogen-Land cruisor wasn't seen, The great majority of the large fleet were DREDs, the small kamikaze ships that are the staple in Hydrogen-Land's navy, but, they were intermingled with a new tech, the AXE* Fighters, (*Acto-Xemic-Energy, the energy harvested from between solid Hydrogen atoms) the first ship in the Navy to have live crews, they are small, fast, and shoot the newly discovered "Hydrogen-Beam", a beam that instead of penetrating, overloads, causing the ship to either fall out of the sky or most often, explode because of engine failure. The DREDs and AXEs flew over the area where allied Kazecistan had recently let out a distress call, The radio made a screetch as the AXE commanding unit let out a transmition: *Chhgt* "This is Delta Squadron, third space force in the Hydrogen-Land army, recognition code X-10995FT, what is the state of your emergency Allied Kazecistan?"

"We have controlled the situation, but fear another outbreak. Although your presence isn't absolutely necessary, we hoped that a larger fleet would serve as a deterrent, and perhaps limit the already minimal losses. We thank you for your presence. We suggest that a system wide search be commenced to flush out any survivors."

"That's a big negatory Allied Kazecistan, these ships are not equipped to fight off infantry or single fighters, we are trying to conserve all power for a major battle, although, we could use a refuel and shelter, do you have any to provide Allied Kazecistan?"

"Affirmative, begin docking on the carrier Koonlan. Be advised you will be tractored into landing ports. Perhaps you could stay a while to defend the planet while we hunt down the @$&*&%$*(^$#@."

"Affirmative allied Kazecistan, We will be docking in a few moments." The AXEs suddenly began to fall into docking formation, as to say, all of the AXEs became one line, guns pointing in opposite directions, to keep from blind docking, the DREDs did a similar pattern as they landed. AXE Leader Lugar Macpherson stepped out of his craft as soon as they were safely inside, he flagged a Kazeci officer and asked where he could find the captain, and was pointed up a flight of stairs, "AXE Delta Squadron leader Lugar Macpherson reporting for duty sir!"

"Glad to see you've arrived safely, Squadron leader, what news have you?"

The H-L fighters began being refeuled just as the last of them were tractored into place.

"None whatsoever, other than the new Fighters, I was commanding a DRED squadron back home before this, I like being out on the field! Any from you?"

"If you like we can give you quarters here and you can leave in a few hours time. Or we can station you more long term in one of our underground air/space bases on the surface, until your government sets one up on your continent. You would all be stationed on this planet permanently."

"That's fine, I'll take the outpost along with the rest of my fleet, I'll send a request for a colonization effort to command, perhaps this would be an excellent time to use some of our instant outpost tools!*"

"In that case your ships will be ready within the hour. You will be landing at Alpha 4, our air base in sector...."

The leather clad pirate captain smiled as he listened to squacking over the transmittor.

"Sah, they're going to try and track us down."

"Well they just won't have to find us, now will they?"

Earl Codey, the one eyed pirate from before, was always worried his boss was to laid back about these kinds of things.

The hundreds of pirates lounging around outside were drinking and eating after the escapade, they had grinningly watch the battlestar plummet to the earth, then cheered when several of the fighters returned, only three out of the original fifty, though, but all was not lost. They had a base of operations and an easy way to infiltrate the cities and prepare for siege.

The captain remembered the Kazecistan message, "What you are doing is an act of war." He smiled. This wasn't war, they were pirates, doing what pirates do, nothing wrong with it, and if they can't take having a few precious jewels taken away from them, then don't deserve to even live. His eyes darted back and forth and he grimaced at the thought of the rich slobs living on this beautiful planet, growing fat off its resources until its sucked dry and they leave workers behind to clean it up and mine whats left for years...

In the city of Bantu, the primary Laskonian city:
Lars was looking over reports of the new shipments of supplies when he learned of the attack.

Pirate ships had destroyed the Battlestar 12 while it was in orbit, then attacked the major trading lines where the space warp gates had been installed. Only a few had come close to the Laskonian area, firing lasers while evading and taunting other fighters.

In the aftermath, Colonel Hellfast had approached him with a new report of Kazecistan bringing in more capital ships to defend the region.

"They're overall military precsense worries me..."

"Well, Colonel, after what has transpired I'm sure they should be allowed to..."

"To hover massive machines of death over us? We don't know if they've even agreed to the treaty yet! We need to contact home and bring in ships of our own."

"I will only concede in this conversation if you tell me your not going to demand they remove their ships."

"You're damn right I'm going to demand they remove their ships! They have hundreds of fighters up there, patrolling..."

"Do we have something to hid, Colonel? If so, I wasn't aware of it and would like to know now."

Lars' voice had turned stern as he stared the hardened Colonel down, Hellfast's eye's narrowed before he "hmphed." and walked out of the room.

Lars shook his head and called down to the dock to make sure the vipers we're getting ready for the escape pod search.

The kazecistany fleet sent out scouts to find the pirates, once they were found they would all be killed.

"This is patrol 154295k, we think we have found the pirates, we're picking up something strange in sector..."

"Lexon command: In this desperate time we propose a short term treaty, none of us shall attack the other unless in self defense...."

Scout shuttles, unarmed "Mule" class transports, about 10 of them, fitted with senor pods, each being escorted by a single Wasp class starfighter are plowing through the system... General information is being gathered... Planetary mass/composition, solar mass/composition, orbital pathways, asteriod fields etc....

On the bridge of the TRSS Aruru, not everything is going as planned....

"Sir..." says the Communications officer, turning to VADM Monroe... "We're getting reports of vessels being attacked by pirates in this system..."

"Raise the locals...." commands VADM Monroe....

Bridge of the TRSS Aruru...

"Incomming message..." the Communications Officer blurts out... "Kazecistan is requesting assistance...."

"Ok then... "responds VADM Monroe... "Take us to condition 5, full battle readiness... Deploy armor..." he says to the Tacitcal officer.... then turning to his console, he signals the Flight Deck... "Flight Operations officer, prepare 4 wings of Wasps for dispatch, full loadout..."

[Over the comm]"Aye sir...."

"Helm, take us to 121 mark 4, position us away from the planet, begin sweeping the sector..." commands VADM Monroe...


Outside, the massive Aruru turns away from the planet, as two seperate shields come online around the vessel, and 6mm of neutronium/duranium composite armor grows over its hull like mold...

Inside the flight decks, 52 Wasp starfighters are being loaded for deployment....

"Sah, reports coming in that there are several heavily armed ships in orbit, in full battle prepardness."

"They don't even have anything to shoot at, but I suppose its best to keep them on their toes..."

"Sah, we are safe here, right?"

The captain looked around the foresty area where they had set up camp.

"Of course, they think we ran away, really we just got closer. And besides, they can't detect anything as long as the ship is running on minimal power..."

Inside his escape pod, Johnas fumbled with the destroyed communicator, he finally got a signal through, but it was on a random setting.

"Hello? This is Commander Johnas of the Battlestar 12, we were shot down and are stranded at an unknown location...try to lock onto the tracking signal..."

Fuzz answered his message, he turned angrily to get out of the pod, he saw the other two several meters away, each in small crators.

The two pilots, the communications officer, and the science officer all expentently got out of the pods.

"Sir, I'm sure the base has sent Raptors to find us as we speak..."

"Yes..."

But what bothered him was how little the other countries seemed to feel at their attack, and how nearly no support was being given to the Laskonians attacked.

He looked around the area they were in, it was obviously a deserted place, the pods would have attracted people by now if it wasn't.

Fighter squads searched every square inch of the plant surface, looking for the downed star ship (and anything else suspicious).

"Sir, Kazecistan star fighters, heading this way!"

Johnas walked over to the pilots screen.

"Hail them down, tell them we'll need to contact our base, but we'd like to hold a council at whatever cities are left standing."

"Our fighters aren’t equipped to carry people, but some will remain overhead as comm. relays until the rescue ship arrives, sit tight."

The Kazecistany G.A.S. arrived, it's powerful turrets shut down, and the rear hatch opened. 10 men came out, 7 guards, an ambassador, and 2 other important looking men.

"We will be taking you back to the Kazeci mega city, where you will be debriefed. From there you can take civilian transport back to wherever."

"First I'd like to meet with representatives from all the countries here. We need to set up some form of standing council between us. God forbid anything like that happens again, I don't suppose you know the extent of the rest of the damage?"

"Welcome, Johnas, to the Kazeci city on this planet. There has been minimal damage to the city of Tornac- at least the parts we still have contact with- and the other cities have not been notably damaged. A council meeting is being set up here with delegates from all nations on this planet. You are welcome to stay here until then."

Johnas nodded and was guided to the room he would be staying at, as soon as he arrived, he used the room's phone to bounce off the Laskonian sattilite that was set up, static came through.

"Christ, don't tell me they shot down that, too."

He instead called the four crewmen to his room.

"Alright, I want you two pilots to return to the base and debrief the colonel, you two will stay here in case I need any support in the talks."

Before the pilots left, Johnas made a motion for them to search the room for bugs, they found none, but Johnas would do a more throrough search later.
