Kordo

Admiral Kevin Lotam stood on his bridge with Henry Rey, looking at the coastline of Canada. Turning Lotam, Rey finally asked the question that had been on his mind since Lotam began to go ahead with the invasion, long planned, but never accomplished. “Will it work?”
Kevin shook his head, “I wish I could give an easy answer. From what I understand from the estimations, we should take it with relative ease. But if other nations get involved….well I don’t know. This isn’t going to be quite like the invasion our leaders planned for.”
Henry snorted. “You mean they didn’t expect to be invading the Yukon Territory, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territory while fighting a civil war on our home soil?”
Kevin shook his head. “We’re lucky we had enough troops off the mainland when this rebellion went off, and that most of them stayed loyal. Hell, it’s a lot easier to keep them loyal when we cut their access to Kordo down to basically nil. No matter though, with most of the fleet behind us, and plenty of troops, we should be able to take them no sweat. From what your telling me, most of the people in this area are sick and tired of the Socialist government they have in place.”
“True, but those reports are several years old, who knows how their views have changed since then. The unwashed masses of the world are notoriously fickety in their political beliefs. Though, one positive is that much of these Provinces are made up of Asians. Fortunately for us they are a people who, while making up only eight percent of Kordo’s population, make up a surprising amount of the Navy personnel, which is mostly what we will be using. People are always more receptive to those like them.”
Lotam gave Rey a small bow. “You’re a more astute politician then I first realized. With my knowledge of military tactics, and your knowledge of the political side of things, we should do well.”

As jets screamed off their carriers, landing craft, heavy with their burden of men and material headed towards shore. Silently the aircraft approached their target, a Canadian naval base. Without warning they struck at its radar and communication center. Then, they moved on to new targets, attacking without warning and without hesitation. Soon, any defenses standing in the way of the invasion fleet were disabled. The territories were not conquered yet, but with luck, they would be.
ooc: I need someone to RP the rebels, if you want to just ask. As for anyone else getting involved, I probably won’t mind as long as you ask, and keep in mind, that I want this to end with me conquering these territories.
