***BREAKING NEWS***

The United States of WyattLand, just yesterday, has declared an official state of war. Though the first target in this war is to be announced, President Mason warns this could be a long one.

President Mason: "Although this war may not be short. We will fight it to the end. We will smoke the terrorists out, and we will bring them to justice. We will not distinguish between those who commit terrorist acts and those who harbour them. There can be no in-between. You are either on the side of freedom and justice, or you are with the terrorists."

At the ruins of Moxham AFB, the death toll stands at 1,785, with hundreds still missing. At Benatar Naval Station, 96 people are dead, and at Pequea Shopping Center (the mall), some 287 people are confirmed dead.

Official Statement

"Though the Reich feels somewhat sorry for the loss of life, we stand idle and do nothing. Terrorists have never dared to set foot on soil of The Reich of Guffingford, and they will never dare to defy us. Your notion that we have to be with you, or against us is quite ludicrous. So when we declare neutrality, express our apathy we have became your enemies? Is that what you are trying to tell us? Or, because we simply do not care about people dying because of terrorist bombings we, the pure people of The Reich of Guffingford, have became terrorists? Your reasoning is flawed and absurd, and I suggest you alter it before you target the wrong people in your madness to find a scapegoat for these cowardly acts. We are awaiting your response."

- Signoli DeFelice, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Republican Statement

Though it pains this Republic to ever find itself in agreement with the Guffingford Regime, we too must express doubts over your controversial view. We extend our sympathies to your government and those who lost loved ones, but the idea that those who do not support your regime are automatically supporting the terrorists is both ludicrous and dangerous. This Republic fights terrorism in its own way, and will not be seen as a supporter of terrorism just because we will not join your well-intentioned but naive crusade.

Official Statement

"As a Nation committed to the furtherance of the state over the freedom of the people the Fugue States can not endorse your actions. We would also suggest that it is wrong of you to claim superiority over other nations by meddling in their affairs. We will see any attempt by your nation to interfere with others as over-stepping yours rights and an appeal will be made to the U.N. to rectify this travesty.

We of course sympathise with you for the loss of life in your country."

-Gilliard Boulte, Foreign Secretary.

We would like to enquire as to how many of the dead were Catholics?

The non-Catholics, we have no interest in since they will burn in hell for their sins.

If you truly, sincerely wish to defeat terrorism, you will have to exterminate Marxism from the face of this Earth.

Christac would like to formally declare war on corrupt corporations and mafia groups. Any country that has any of the above will be seen as harbouring them and will be taken over randomly depending on which one has the most oil.

Message from Godulan Terran Affairs Chancellor Aktei:

We agree with Wyattland's stance on this issue wholeheartedly. In our effort to contribute to the war effort, we shall formally declare war upon Blueberry Muffins.

Damn terrorist pastries. Can't trust the sneaky bastards.

That being said, and tossing the sarcasm manual out the window for the Cougars to chew on, any war effort on 'terrorism' is doomed to failure from the start. Not due to any feelings of righteousness on the part of the entity conducting the war, but due to the fact that the definition of who would constitute a terrorist is so varied.

Some would see those who bomb churches in furtherance of their religious views to be terrorists, while others would lump feminists, communists, even evolutionists into the same boat. Its all a matter of perspective, and unfortunately, yours is not the only one.

In fact, taking such a... proactive stance will likely do more to get the label of terrorist stuck to your own forehead. Best way to combat terrorism? Same way ya don't let mosquitos into your house: Don't let them get in.

Transmission from the Holy Emperor to the leader of Wyattland: "I must agree, your logic is flawed at best. But as a member of the Credonian coalition created to combat terrorism, and through my own personal hatred of terrorists, I shall send any needed aid. Troops, medical supplies, anything you need. Show no mercy to the terrorist scum!"

End Transmission.

OOC: Allow me to clarify my stance on this issue.

When I say "against us", I mean those nations that actively support and harbour terrorists. This does not mean that any nations declaring neutrality are enemies. The statement of "We will not distinguish between those who commit acts of terrorism, and those who harbour them" should be taken in a literal sense. These nations that have publicly declared neutrality in this thread, are not considered enemies just because they choose not to take part in the war effort. Enemies would be nations that either actively house or promote terrorist groups and actions, or those nations that actively support them. And even then, any military action will not be taken against suspected terrorist or terrorist-harbouring nations unless or until substantial evidence can be confirmed. This is why we made the statement that the war may be long. (Because odds are, much of the "wartime" will be investigations.)
