Politics While dominated on the Federal level by the Nationalist Union Party, within the domestic government of the City-Province no single party is dominant. The Nationalist Union, Central Coalition, and Popular parties are the most well established with the local Citizens First party taking the place of the center-left New Frontier Party in local politics.
Language English, Danish (official); several dozen other languages are recognized as "Languages of Prevalence" within the City-Province.

Voting Age 18 years. Universal suffrage for males and females.

Military Notes The City-Province of Seaburg currently provides 17% of personnel and equipment currently used in the National Guard. The Provincial Defense Forces of Seaburg (PDFS) currently number 1.39 million personnel. The PDFS maintains Air, Land, and Sea units. It is primarily responsible for Coast Guard operations within 25 miles of the City-Province. As with all Provincial Defense Forces, the Commander-in-Chief of the PDFS is the Governor of the City-Province.
Political Divisions Seabug is divided into thirteen Greater Districts of roughly equal population size. Each Greater District operates as a nearly independent subunit of the City-Province. However, the only federally recognized political unit in the City-Province is Seaburg itself. The Province is a city.
Greater District Population 21,385,000 (on average). Districts are redrawn following each census.




Greater District Government-


Legislative-
District Council.
Office Name: Councillor
100 seats elected along party lines by proportional vote.
5 year, unfixed term. The Supervisor may request that the Governor dissolve the District Council, leading to a new election within 3 weeks.


Executive:
Supervisor.
Leader of the largest party, or coalition, in the District Council, automatically appointed by the Governor once each Party provides their Councillor list.
Term: As long as the District Council seats and the Supervisor holds the Confidence of the Council. Upon the dissolution of the District Council the Supervisor, and all Executive Offices, are vacant. The Supervisor may also be removed from office by a Vote of No-Confidence.




City-Provincial Government


Legislative:
Metropolitan Assembly-
650 seats. Fifty Councillors from each Greater District, appointed by the Supervisor by proportional party representation and confirmed by each respective District Council.
2 year term after which new Councillors are appointed, or old Councillors reappointed. Vacancies on the Metropolitan Assembly are filled by the Governor with consent of the appropriate Supervisor.


Administrative Council-
66 seats. 52 elected, 14 Not directly elected. Each Greater District has 4 seats, the remaining 14 seats are for the 13 Supervisors and the Governor.
Elected Member Term- 4 years, fixed. One seat is up for election every year.
Non Elected Member Term- Unfixed, as long as official remains in office.


Executive:
Governor-
Governor is the Chief Executive Officer of the City-Province, the Commander-in-Chief of all City-Provincial security and defense forces and the Supreme Commander of Federal security forces operating within the City-Province. The Governor has line item veto power. Gubernatorial vetoes can only be overridden by a 3/4ths vote of the Administrative Council.
Popularly elected to a 6 year, fixed term.
