“ Silent hunter "
Near the Bouvet Islands 4:00 am, on board of the Ghost Bear
Rear Admiral Victor Turk took one last look at the warm night sky. Never in his entire 56 years of existence has he see total darkness before. No lights as far as the naked eye could see. No whaling, cruise ships sailing through the Indian ocean. It was beautiful but the silence frighten him. This must be the same silence that knights felt before charging head strong into a Viking regiment he thought. This must have been the same silence that marine’s felt before landing on a beachhead packed with enemies. And it was this same silence that the great revolutionaries felt before the toppling Pantheaa’s old Slovakian regime. But now was not the time to be frightened. Victor had a mission to think about. A top secret mission that he will receive once him and his submarine crew were near Europe.
“Give the order to dive” said Turk to his XO Admiral Seth Kornilov. “Aye Captain” was the 38 year old sailors only response. The only other noise was the hatch closing and the roar of the nuclear engines coming to life. And in only a short time the Ghost Bear; flagship of the Panthean submarine navy was 300 feet under water.
“You know I’ve been with this navy since the Republic was born. And I do believe that no nation on all of earth as a more finer Navy.” Said Victor as he walked back to the rig with his XO
“Aye sir. Its only been one year and already the Panthean Navy wants to test its might.”
“This is a time of oppurnity by dear friend. The Pacifist and peace mongers may not like wars. But for us military folk, there is nothing more pleasing then seeing your bullet go through a man’s skull, a rocket through a tank, or a torpedo through a ship.”
“Dogs of war, sir”
“Aye!! That we are” laughed Victor
It only took the two men six minutes to reach the brig. “Captain is on the brig!!!” Shouted a young officer. The room came to attention and watched as the two men come to the middle of the room. “As you were” responded the Victor. The brig crew once again sat down and went to their daily routine. But the silence of their captain was something that wasn’t expected. Normally he gives a big speech or lecture on the current state of affairs. But today all he gave the crew was a nod and a huff from his cigar. Seth also thought that his captain was acting strange. He didn’t understand what could be so frighten. All they were going to do is blockade the medeterrian from non-confederacy ships if World War 3 were to take place.
The young nation of Panthean had more things to really about then the superpower pigs. Though the nation won its independence, the government was still waging war on dissidents. The reign of fascist leader Fredrich Hegel, first Prime Minister of Panthea only made things worst. Soon Communist and Anarchist joined in the “2nd Revolution of Panthea. Having been demoralized by Panthea’s military, the rebel scum had resorted to terrorist tactics. Today’s Panthean couldn’t trust anybody. Your teacher, mail man, or the sheriff of your small town could be a rebel sympathizers. Anyone on this submarine could be a traitor to the Republic, maybe even the Captain.
