It seems that there is waaaaaay to many people in your army, you got like 40+ divisions and aircraft wings with 30,000 people a piece... I know of very little armies that have several million people in them...

Just my opinion...

first, ask yourself "Do I need that much for day-to-day, or am I going to invade somebody?"

You've got a lot of duplication on the Listing-if you're insistent on issuing the H-K plastic-toy for a standard rifle, you only need to list it once-that's for all them soldiers, specifically at the start of the post, rather than every hunderedth line or so- same with the handguns-only list differences after you state something is standard.

Second: Why are you running such large active-duty force??? Unless your idea of warfare is lining everone up to the horizon, and running them at each other in an all-or-nothing way, you don't need that many troops on your active rosters- The RL U.S. Army works fine with eight to ten corps-level elements total in the active duty, with around three times that on the Reserves and National Guard rosters. Highest point in the Cold War? twelve (around 1966)
I'd put around 90% of what you've got listed there, and reassign 'em to part-time or Reserve status-and keep only the best of the equipment types in service with the Actives. since Alaidos is really the conglomeration of several smaller nations, you might consider distributing the drawdown to mix your units...that brings out something else...

Duplicate Designators. I see a battle line getting snarled post-haste with so many units carrying only a single-digit identifier-difference- over a wide frontage, this is the kind of thing that generates problems in the supply line, in intelligence operations, and in coordination.
IF You've got more than one "121st Division" you've got too many-it may be worth it to see about reassigning equipment and personnel to other missions, and retiring some unit colours.
(this will also save enough money to be worth it-you're running multis of tank, helo, and truck designs you don't need.)

TG me with your email address, and I'll send you a couple of military calculators on Microsoft Excel files. These will help you out some.

First, your military is way too big. Your best bet is to keep the entire military under 2% of your population. Most of the calculators will help you with the numbers.

Next, your navy has no amphibious assault ships, not enough supply ships, and no landing craft. Q-ships are only useful against pirates or commerce raiders- they are cold meat in the middle of a major firefight. Your army has no artillery. Your air force has no long-range transport aircraft, no airborne refuelling planes, no reconnaissance/surveillance planes, and no airborne radars. You have zillions of Marines, but no transport ships, no artillery, and no landing craft. None of the ground forces have any air-defense capability. You don't have enough supply vehicles for your army and Marines. You have NO tactical vehicles comparable to a jeep. land rover, or hummvee.

You need to pay a lot more attention to vehicle crews. Each Main Battle Tank (MBT) will require a crew of at least 3, most of them require 4. With 300 divisions, and 450 MBTs/division, that means you'll need 540,000 men just to man the MBTs. You'll need another 405,000 for the light tanks. Keep adding in other vehicle crews, and most of your army is now driving a vehicle of one sort or another.

Fighter aircraft require a crew of 2 (usually). Bombers need 3-6 (depending on the size of the plane). Attack helicopters usually have a crew of 2-4. Transport helos use between 3-6. Every single aircraft will require a separate ground crew of 10-30 personnel.

Aircraft carriers take 3-5 thousand personnel, plus the air detachment (another 1500 - 2000 people). Battleships need 1500-2500 crew, cruisers 300 - 1000, destroyers 250 - 500, frigates 200 - 300, attack submarines 90 - 120, missile submarines 100 - 150.

All of the above are just the people driving the vehciles and crewing the ships. Every soldier who fights should have 7-15 soldiers supporting him (moving supplies, securing supply routes, repairing and maintaining vehicles, etc).

In the meantime, here is a thread you should read:

If you have time. Read the Non-fiction Tom Clancy Books. Like: Marine, Airborne, Fighter Wing, Carrier. This will help you. I followed the same thing but with a little modification to meet the demands.
